I bought my Galaxy Note II right after it came out, and after a few months, I had unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone, and installed the Mean Bean ROM. I ran it with ZERO problems until...
Yesterday my phone dies after the battery is fully discharged, and when I plug it in, all I see is the pre-boot battery, as if it is about to charge, but the circular loading symbol is dead in the middle, frozen. The LED light up top won't do anything either.
I could get it into recovery and download mode, although the battery would not charge, so the phone had to be plugged in no matter what. Did a clean wipe and tried reflashing the ROM, then I tried flashing both the stock roms from stockroms.net for the Verizon Note 2. Every flash failed.
I went into download mode to try and flash the stock roms via Odin, but Odin wouldn't recognize my phone. Reinstalled the Samsung Mobile Drivers (yes the correct ones), tried using the Toolkit, but no matter what, Odin wouldn't recognize my phone. No comport number, nothing.
Next, I took out the usb charging port in the phone, made sure nothing was damaged or unplugged, and put it back it. No change. Went to bed frustrated as all hell.
This morning, I tried everything again a second time, and the next thing I know, hours later, the phone shows 11% battery in recovery mode, but no change otherwise. This whole time, I've been using Team Win Recovery Project, so I decide to switch to ClockWorkMod. I get the file on the sd card, put it into the phone, and...
Nothing. That 11% disappeared apparently. Now I cannot boot into recovery mode or download mode, let alone get the frozen battery indicator. What now?
Could be the charging port is damaged. About 2 months ago my phone looked like it was charging when I plugged it in (would show charging indicator), but really wasn't. Called Verizon and got a warranty replacement.

Hey guys, I was using odin to flash back to stock. My GPS died and was going to try to get a replacement before I tried the hardware fix.
I went to flash back to stock using ODIN, it got stuck on modem.bin. After reading a bunch on people getting stuck here, it looked like it was safe to unplug and try again. I unplugged and now my phone will not turn on at all. Simply a black screen... no recovery, no download mode, no battery status when plugged in. Nothing.
I need some ideas here!
Thanks!!!
This worked for me in similar situations: Pull the battery, plug-in the usb cable, do the three-finger thing (or two finger or whatever works with your boot-loader) and then put in the battery and hope.
So I first got my device from a family member the other day and started to run into some problems. The device was running pretty good except that when I played games over 10 minutes the device would flicker. It would keep flickering then would turn off. It kept giving me overheating warnings but the device was never hot. I then rooted the device using the PDA named CF-Auto-Root-konawifi-konawifixx-gtn5110 with Odin 3.07 and everything went fine. Though the device would still flicker when it reached 60 degrees C, if I had it on the charger it would not flicker and everything ran fine. I then(stupidly)installed a .apk file GL Tools and my device turned off completely. When I turned it back on it would display the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 GT-N5110 logo and would stay on that not letting the device boot. I could go into Download mode and Recovery mode but restore to factory didn't work. I then tried to use Odin and root it again to see if that worked(it passed)but didn't work. I then tried again and the device turned off. When it turned back on I had the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I then tried to root again and Odin read FAIL. Not only that, but when I try to charge the device it wont charge, instead the screen keeps blinking very fast and it only lets me go into download mode. I really need help, I don't know what to do. I really would like to keep this tablet if It can even be fixed. Oh and opened the case and took the battery and and put it back in didn't work. Edit: The device will not turn on unless a chargers plugged in. Screen is flickering outrageously. I'm guessing its not charging at all

A couple days ago, within an hour of using my phone and everything seeming to be fine, my phone got stuck at the Galaxy Note II logo. Thinking that it locked up and reset itself or something like that while in my pocket, I pulled the battery because it didn't respond to the power button. after I replaced the battery and turned it on, it stopped at the same screen. After a few attempts, I tried to get into recovery mode and it only got to the download screen. After some research, it sounded like I could maybe flash the stock rom onto the phone and get back up and running. so I downloaded ODIN and found what I thought was the correct ROM and tried to flash it. ODIN gave an error about unable to find a PIT file, so more googleing later, I found a PIT file and tried again. ODIN tried for about 10 minutes and then failed. My phone was still on the download screen so I thought to just try the process completely from the start again. I unplugged my phone from the computer and tried to restart it, I think by holding the power button down but I may have just pulled the battery. once my phone turned off it hasn't turned back on again. It wont even attempt to charge when I plug it into the wall.
So I ask the people who are far more experienced with this kind of thing, did I unrecoverably mess up my phone, or is there something I can still do?
Hello guys, i come to you with a problem with my phone. I've a Samsung J7 Prime SM-G610M/DS with Stock ROM.
Everything started when a new update came to install like a week ago. It downloaded it correctly and started update process.
In the middle of it, it ran out of battery.. So it began..
1) The phone is practicaly not charging. If i plug it to an USB port or directly to the wall, charges like 6% every 24 hours. Sometimes it doesn't charge at all. Note: whenever i plug it, the battery-charging animation does not work properly. Just turns the battery icon with the lightning in it and then turns off the screen, not showing battery percentage or animation whatsoever. Battery is non removable and tried cleaning charge port.
2) If i put it on Download Mode, computer doesn't recognize it. It is not a drivers issue. I've another Samsung J7 Prime and it connects correctly. I must discard everything Odin-related.
3) In recovery mode, i've emptied cache and did several factory resets with no luck. If i turn it in a regular way, it tries to apply some update but changes to "No command" view.
4) I tried downloading the last stock version and putting it on an SD. Formatted it correctly but when i try to update from SD in recovery, a message comes up: "Couldn't mount /sdcard".
I'm starting to loose my mind here guys.. Please give a hand or a clue!!
Thank you very much.
Hi. I have a problem with a bricked Samsung Galaxy S7, SM-G930F (the Exynos one). A bought it a few years ago and let someone root it to play around with it. I got it back recently and it didn't turn on. I had the battery replaced which allowed me to turn it on, to a "no command" message. I got it into recovery mode. I chose "factory reset" to try to bring it back to a working state. That didn't help, so I booted into download mode and was able to flash the latest firmware; I made sure it was the correct one for this model. It would reboot to a screen with the Android logo and a message of "erasing" with rotating arrows on the Android that stopped after a few seconds. If I left it plugged in, it would stay like that indefinitely. If I unplugged it it would turn off within a few seconds. For a while I could still get it to come up in download mode, but now it does nothing no matter which buttons I press. No lights come on when I plug it into a USB charger, although a wireless charger seems to detect it as the charger's red LED comes on. Following advice on this forum for a bricked S8, I left it not charging for 24 hours to see if it would drain the battery completely, letting me try again. That didn't work; no matter how long I charge it or what buttons I press, nor whether it's plugged into the charger or computer or not, nothing happens. There's no way to tell if it is charging. I have evidence that it works since I was able to flash the firmware and that process went smoothly, but I can't get it back to that mode. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I flashed the stock firmware before the phone became unresponsive. Now I can't flash anything since none of the buttons have any effect. and the phone is not recognized by my PC.
@Doctor_Perceptron
If you can't access phone by means of Odin then with 99.9% certainty phone's boot-loader is broken. Put phone into e-waste.
If it was a Qualcomm device I'd be able to help you through EDL flashing. Since it's not I do believe your not able to flash it at this point as already said by the user above my reply
