[Q] install aosp browser on 4.2.2 TW roms - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How can I install the aosp browser in my gs3, it is running the S4 Revolution V4.1.
Any help would be truly helpful, thanks in advance.

Not sure if it will work or not. You'll need to remove the stock browser and put the aosp browser in /system/app
You'll need to wipe dalvik cache afterwards

Not a problem. I assume you are otherwise stock? If so, you just need to download the stock ROM from the development forum and flash it from your recovery. You can wipe cache and dalvik, but that's it if you want to keep your apps and settings intact. If you want to start over from scratch, you would do a factory reset. Going to that extreme should be unnecessary, though.

How do I install a ROM's custom Kernel?

So I flashed the Dirty Unicorn ROM that is apparently AOSP and Android 4.3.1. They have a custom kernel you can install that allows you to do many awesome features. I'm new to android and don't know much about these things, so my question is can anyone help me by telling me how do I install that custom kernel? Thanks!

Download and flash it like any ROM.

So just go to CWM Recovery and flash it? Would I need to wipe everything again even though I'm already on the ROM?

Yes to the first part and no to the second. You could just wipe caches after flashing it, but even that isn't needed.

Okay sweet. Thanks!!
