Im having a problem I cant seem to get rid of it. I have been having touch screen issues for a bit. I was running CM10 on my nook tablet and all of a sudden the touch screen stopped running. So I decided to return back to stock and it didnt work either there. So I rooted and flashed CM7, didnt work there either. So flashed CM10 and didnt work. So i gave up and left the nook turned off for maybe a day or two. Then it started working. Downloaded all the apps and did everything I wanted on my Nook. Then the next day I woke it up from sleep mode and it didnt wok. So I decided to do the procedure again and did the same thing. What is going on and what am I doing wrong. Can someone help?
Have you tried running the Touchscreen Firmware utility to re-flash your touchscreen firmware?

I posted this in fascinate forums and haven't been able to get any help, so I figured I would post here as well. I have been running cm7 and installing the nightlies as they come out. When I flashed nightly #9, I lost complete use of my soft keys. Imagine how annoying it is to have to reboot to change screens. I installed a catlog to see if I could figure out what was going on, but I know absolutely nothing about programming. So, this is what I think I figured out. In the bootup, there's no device for "mice", says something about device not found, and then there's another error in system bootup about the"face" error. So I think I have lost something in the system bootup that runs my soft keys.
Does anyone else have issues with their soft keys? Before I lost them totally, my back button would activate all by itself until everything and I mean everything was closed.
I haven't been able to go back to stock to see if that works because I haven't had any computer access since this happened. I will be home tomorrow, so I can see if that helps.
If anyone has any other insight, I'd be really glad to know.
Thanks,
Mona

I had the same issue when I flashed to Paranoid Android, a jellybean based ROM. Everything worked fine for me with Cyanogenmod 7.2, then I flashed to Android 4.1 and lost the use of the soft keys. I still haven't resolved the issue.
For the record

In case anyone else has this issue, I tried flashing a stock Froyo ROM, a stock Gingerbread ROM, CM 7.2 again, and even stock GB with the latest Verizon Wireless update for GB and the softkey functions never returned. I've managed to put Paranoid Android 2+ back on the Fascinate, a Jellybean ROM, so I can mimic the buttons with onscreen controls, but it eats up a lot of screen real estate. It's a workaround, not a solution by a long shot.
So I flashed the newest nightly of Synergy mod and everything was working good for the night was running on wifi looking stuff up and downloading apps and everything. When i woke up the next morning I turned wifi off for work because I work outside all day and having that feature on would be pointless, I got off work and back home and when I tried to turn it back on it would "turning on wifi" for a bit and then just give me "error". I've installed other roms and even restored back to BAMF 4.9 and im still getting the "error" message when I try and turn on wifi. Im guessing its a hardware issue and might just take it to verizon. Any suggestions??
Exact same problem for me, I even downloaded the original 'upgrade' PG05IMG from the original root guide and flashed that via bootloader, and still wifi is 'error' I have no idea what to do.
Last night my phone grew legs and ran all the way across the room while i was sleeping. When i woke up, after searching for my phone for 10 minutes, the vibration no longer works. I didnt know if it was a software or hardware problem. So, I flashed a backup from the day before (where vibration was working) and still no luck. So i flashed back to my current backup, when i rebooted, right before the bootanimation, it vibrates. Odd? It works when the phone is booting up, but not when the phone is booted. I'm running houstonn's Vanilla RootBox (4-20 v1) with houcha kernel. All help is appreciated!

Thanks for everyones help...
I was able to fix this, and find the root of the problem (for me atleast). Everytime i click the Dark RootBox, vibration stops working. To fix, you must wipe the device completely, and reflash the rom.
hi all!
need help with my streak, if u saw my previous post, i had a problem with my streak earlier. fixed it by flashing the nandroid back up just before i flashed the custom rom. and it seemed to be working fine after, no issues at all. im not really sure what happened though...but all of a sudden my WIFI suddenly cannot connect, ive tried the fix, still the same problem. my wifi turns on, but cant pick up any networks...then turns off after about 3 mins. i already have it configured to NEVER sleep. i dont know what else to do, short of flashing it all over again. please help...!
thanks!
btw, im not sure if this is ok, but on my streak, there's no MOD version and KERNEL version.
Last night I tried putting Cyanogenmod on my i9300, its a european model that is not locked.
I first tried with the nightly build of CM 11. Flashing went well, but after boot the Phone seemed to crash/freeze after a few minutes. It stopped responding and only gave sound when using the system buttons. after a few presses that freezes too. I was thinking this might be a problem in the nightly build, so I went back in the recovery, cleared things up againa and this time I tried the latest image from the unofficial CM 12 that can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-temasek-s-unofficial-cyanogenmod-12-t3086689
It seemed that most people have little problem with this version so I gave that one a try. It booted and gave me an error just before the launcher had to startup. but after a reset by taking out the battery, the Phone booted fine and it all went so smooth... but as soon as i got to the point of entering my google account, the Phone frose again. I retried, and again... at that time it was late at night, and the Phone needed to be used today. So I desided to go back in recovery, clean everything out, and put back my backup. Things looked fine... but sadly, at random times th Phone freezes again. its not my Phone but my wife's, she says it hangs using Facebook or chrome. I did not get the chance to look for a pattern yet, but I hope you guys might have an idea whats wrong.
For now I asked her not to use the internet, I'm not sure if wifi or mobile date will influence it, but it doesn't hurt to try.
I have to go to work untill 9pm tonight, and by the time I get home it will probably be 10 or later, so I have little time to work on it.
If anyone can give me a direction to go in or a possible sollution then I would appriciate it. i might have missed something when putting the backup back.
Any idea's?
