[Q] Is recent JB update fixed the sound/keyboard? - HTC Desire X

Hi, I am still using the default ICS 4.0 of DesireX, havent updated it yet. I just want to make sure everything is fixed before I update. Can i have feedback regarding the latest 10mb update from DX? is it good? how about the sound/notification bugs? is it resolved?
Thanks in advance!

Ok, I'll wait then.
Hmm, it's not for playing music, but audio books. Haven't tried all out there, but Astro Player does one fantastic job keeping track on where I'm at... Thanks anyway.

[MOD] Beats Audio on Android

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511335
This thread has a link to a cwm flashable package that has Beats Audio libraries. I flashed it on my TouchPad and it sounds a lot better, but I might just be crazy?
Note: I'm using Beats headphones with it, not the speakers.
Double Note: I didn't pay for the headphones, don't worry. Ugh. haha
i think this is a more suitable topic

This is working very well. now my music sounds the same as beats enabled WebOS!

Most of these mods have no way of going back which is why you should always do a nandroid before applying any mods.

Well since your not giving the linke delete this topic. Keeping it up might get us newbs hopes up -_-
I can confirm that this does bring beats back to the touchpad pretty well. I have noticed that on the latest official nightly of cm9 the audio starts to malfunction when the screen turns off. Sounds like an AM radio and real crackly anyone know a fix?

I'd like to know that about the audio too - but as it's unfinished I assumed it was a problem to be expected.
Ok,I finally found two that work.

Doesn't the Touchpad already have Beats Audio built in? The hardware is what's going to make the difference--this is just an equalizer with a bass boost.

Beats Audio isn't indicative of differing hardware. When the libs were extracted from the HTC Rezound, it was discovered that Beats is nothing more than a software EQ, capable of running on any device once the correct files are installed. Flash it and you'll hear a difference.
Cool

Jelly Bean on HP Touchpad with Working Audio

I know the fix for audio. I have CM10 (Jelly Bean) on my atrix and the fix for audio works on all jelly bean roms for any device. It just needs an xml file. If I could get a flashable ZIP of the alpha rom I could fix the audio and show others how to fix. I would like to confirm it first but I am 99% sure this will work.

Yeah, how do you know that they have sound working just no mic/cam? Do you have access to a flashable zip of JB?

This isn't a fix for every device out there... there is no "one fix all" for every device. Just because it worked on your Atrix doesnt mean it will work here...
I'm porting JB to my phone and I have no sound but I have media_profiles and codes in /system/etc
Usually sound problems in JB are dealing with the HALs since so much changed in terms of HAL since ICS.
I beleive for us actually that the Touchpad is still using drivers from GB for sound, wrapped though. I don't know if JB supports this though.
Let me resolve this thread...
There is still work to be done before the Jelly Bean release can be made.
The fix presented here does not resolve anything for the Jelly Bean build. Thanks for the input,, but it does not provide us with anything that we do not already have.
There will be actual info released as it becomes available. Until then, you may speculate all you wish.
Cheers!
Man, that video makes me wish I didn't sell my touchpad yesterday :/

[Q] Equalizers/Sound Enhancers issue

Okay I got this phone, all is good. Updated its firmware and all available updates from HTC. I plug in my headphones and beats audio is working fine, just one issue, where are all the equalizers or sound enhancement options? It ain't in the music player nor In sound in the settings?

You need to root&unlock your phone and install a custom rom , to have the equalizer settings. Many roms here , aka insertcoin or viperx , have build-in eqs , on elegancia you may need to flash layapota mod for hox+
There is only beats in stock firmware from memory so do the obvious and Install a rom to get all that.

I have liked it, Its much smoother and faster to use. Although you should consider the experience of others too. There is a thread in this HTC Desire X Forum which lists the pros and cons of JB.

Thanx mate, about the second question i had - how can i make the call screen to be Red and Green phones and not to slide them but only to touch them and to answer?
And is there any chance to remove that lockscreen with the circle?

Ticking sound when flipping back and front camera?

Am i the only one? Everything i do with the camera has a ticking sound ie Close it, choose between the apps, explore the settings etc
I havent heard of it before but today it so silent that i can hear it
Sounds like a ticking of a clock..
I also hear it when using the front camera... It's very strange too... My guess is it's because of how thin the device is... We could ask the same for Z Ultra owners.
Same here...
