Keyboard English Language Missing? - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Hello all!
I've been flashing Roms on my new HTC One to get the feel of which feels the "best fit" for my use. (Currently using Maxiumus!)
Anywho I realized that the HTC Keyboards English dictionary file is missing.. so when I try typing or tracing I don't get any suggestive input.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?
Thanks!

English T9

I am new to the forum. I have tried searching and I am not getting anywhere. I bought my XDA Phone (hurricane as it is called here) in Germany and it contains only a German T9 dictionary.
Can anyone help me get an English predictive dictionary on here? And if so, does it replace the German one or add to it?
Thanks in advance.
No one has an answer to this? Are there other people looking for this answer as well?

anybody get auto-complete working with Japanized rom?

Running an X01ht here with wm6 English, japanized using askal's tools. it seems once you install the Japanese IME you loose auto-complete when typing English. I have noticed this from the early days and was just wondering if anybody has a fix for this/noticed it/cared about it.
Any thoughts would be welcome....

Just search play store for "japanese keyboard" there are a few, I have used easy Japanese keyboard before to play around with.
Edit: you do need to know hiragana and katakana at least to use it, it's not like the MS IME on windows, just thought I would mention that.

I think the best keyboard might be multiling keyboard. You may have a try . It has lots of language inside

Thanks for the advice but i really like the Samsung keyboard so i was really hoping i could add the language to that.
also apologizes for the key bored bit I blame spell checker.
i will download one unless any one knows of a ROM that has one in the Samsung bit or a way to add a language i asume it must be possible as the phone is sold in japan.
Thanks for all your advice
I use the official Google Japanese IME, it works well. Othewise, Simeji Keyboard works good aswell.
Thank you very one for your help
I have settled on the official IME one looks ok but i am sad Samsung don't support Japanese but they do every other language

Yeah, no Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Persian...
But they have a lot of other languages. The Samsung IME is not bad though.
There is a Japanese language set available for the native Swype keyboard in the S3.
You just have to download it in the settings menu.
the thread is five months old, c'mon

[REQUEST] Korean for HTC One keyboard

Is there anyways to add korean to the HTC keyboard?
I looked in languages on the keyboard and korean wasn't one of the options.
The look and feel of the keyboard is great but if there isnt korean I cant use it.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Google korean keyboard
Hi, I guess you're Korean because you're looking for Korean keyboard right? I'm also Korean but I thought I better leave my answer in English.
Anyways, I guess Google Korean Keyboard is the only option we got here. I purchased S4 because of that language issue but I can't resist htc zoe's features so I'm going to swap my S4 with htc one.

I was trying to find that too. So I got Kii keyboard and downloaded the Korean keyboard. The Kii Keys are surprisingly easy to use.
Oddly enough, there is a system language option for Korean, but no matching Korean keyboard option.

Really? I couldn't see any Korean option from System Language.
Are you using htc One? then what country are you at?
Im in the USA.
When you first start or after a factory reset you can choose Korea for the language but the keyboard is non existance.
what are they thinking...
the HTC keyboard is really nice though
think ill send them a lil email.
Ok I got a response from them and this is what they say:
Dear danny chun,
Thank you for contacting HTC Technical Support, Danny.
In this specific case as your HTC One does not have this option (Due to different version of keyboard), I would suggest you to install a third-party application to use it for Korean language.
There are many apps (some of them are for free) that you can check at:
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=korean+keyboard&c=apps
As these are third-party applications, HTC does not support or warranty any of them, and its implementation is at your discretion. I will be looking forward to your response if further assistance is required.
As always, we are here to answer any technical questions or concerns you may have between 8am to 1am, 7 days a week for your convenience, or by phone at 1-866-449-8358.
Thank you for contacting HTC and have a great day.

So there is no way it seem... T.T
it's so frustrating.. even if you download third party apps for this phone, you can't even select it as a choice for keyboard.
Even if you click the (on) position for the third party keyboard there is no way to actually use the keyboard.
This brings you back to selecting "keyboard options" in HTC Sense Input which does absolutely nothing...
Anyone find a fix or way around this??

Have you tried Google's Korean IME? https://play.google.com/store/apps/...29nbGUuYW5kcm9pZC5pbnB1dG1ldGhvZC5rb3JlYW4iXQ..
(edit: I see a link was provided to the play store previously, with Google's IME being the first option on that page)
I will make a Korean HTC Sense based Keyboard unless someone from South Korea has the korean HTC One M9 and would care to share the APK

[Q] AOSP Keyboard Dictionaries

Hello.
I am facing a great problem with AOSP keyboard dictionaries. I am hoping to use AOSP keyboard with my own language (malay) and therefore I also require the spell check to work with it.
With my current Cyanogenmod ROM, I cannot seems to be able to correct any of my spelled Malay words; presumably, there aren't any dictionary of it.
Concerned, I tried to use France as the language, shocked, the spell-checker works with France. So, this made my guess about the missing dictionary a possible-true thing. Add-on dictionaries is "empty" and also I cannot find a way to add any dictionaries.
As I am rooted, are there any ways I can force add the malay dictionary?
I am thinking of finding the English UK dictionary and translate it by-hand (working hard for it) and then put it back onto the system. Anyone who can guide me with this?
Ironically, changing CM's main language into "Bahasa Melayu" or Malay seems to work. I am not so sure why it doesn't on AOSP keyboard.
One thing to note, please don't recommend me installing another keyboard. No, I just want to stick with the mighty low resource fast and trustful stock keyboard.
Device Specs for someone who needs it:
- Xperia SP C5303
- Cyanogenmod 11 Kitkat (which is 4.4.4) nightly
- of-course prerooted (it's CM)
Thank you so much in advance if you are looking forward to help me Have a nice day.
Hello. I understand that one would not automatically gets reply on the forums, but doesn't there be anyone who at least know little about this matter?
Bumping this up
Last bump before I bump again a month later
Bump!! Abandoned for a month but I really still need a workaround for this.
one last sweet bump
It is most likely that the AOSP keyboard just doesn't have that language built in and as most aosp apps are left for dead by Google it would take someone to manually add the code into the AOSP keyboard on the source level. Just because the the main language changes doesn't mean the keyboard has the language.
