Well after installing a rom and after i inserted the sim pin it poped up this http://prntscr.com/yl5bv and i thought to insert the pin again and i did that few times also tried to enter 12345 etc... and after that i have no network, i restored the backup but didnt helped ,
itried almost everything i relocked the bootloader-unlocked it again, tried different roms and kernels, flashed with seus and nothing helped, as i said only at that rom(touchwiz rom based on fxp 210) it pops up the window to enter the sim network unlock pin ,
on any other rom doesnt, the signal is full and when i try to call it says no network registered
i tried also other sim cards and they either dont work
So does someone knows what to solve this issue or i must go to service center, and my phone is sony tipo st21is
You will get the best help if you visit your nearest service center. I read your post but cant figure out where the problem lies. Sorry . I hope your problem will be resolved by the experts there. All the best bro..
what the Baseband version in the about phone column . Itz dude to wrong baseband. check
Are you still receiving signal? Other than the comments above, you might also want to check the IMEI. Blocked IMEI could also be the reason.

bro i also have this full signal but no service problem it is due to IMEI no. check your Phone IMEI and match it with your phone IMEI on the back behind the battery (Or go to settings -> system -> Device Information -> Identity and IMEI is listed at the bottom.)

well yes MY IMEI is the same i.e is match behind the battery and from the system
The Current Problem with my s3 is that it cannot register on a network. It shows Selected network Unavailable
My phone i got it second hand, It used to show a Tmobile Start screen beofre i updated it.
I flashed my phone using odin and loaded firmware with baseband version i9300DDLJ1 . I think this baseband version is indian based. After i flashed the start screen started showing Samsung insted of Tmobile . Initially when i flashd the IMEI got changed. Later IMEI was corrected from a Mobile shop using their STP box
So soon after i flashed , the phone cannot register on network. I messed up with the EFS folder i think . I dont have any backup of EFS folder
The current Situation is IMEI is corrected , The phone shows list of all availalbe network when i search manually . But once i select my home network it shows selected network unavailable. I tried to restore/reset the phone several times . Tried with different Sim card also. No use , still it cannot register on to network
My Conclusions
EFS Folder Is messed up
IMEI is Corrected Using STP box
Base Band is i9300DDLJ1
Originally Phone is Tmobile Based
Phone Variant is GT-i9300
Problem is Cannot Register to network

Solved using z3x samsung tool pro
Enable usb debbuging, connect to your pc using usb cable, root your phone , start Samsung tool pro, select com port, go to repair tab and click on patch certificates. I've tried all other solutions I found on different forums, bricked the phone several times, but this did the trick.
Hi
I have an S2 GT-i9100 that someone gave me after they deleted the EFS folder from without taking a backup.
None of these fixes seem to work for me. I have IMEI unknown, IMEI SV unknown, Baseband is unknown, Network is unknown and the service menu displays no options. LOL!
Where the signal bars should be is a circle with a diagonal line through it.
I have rooted it, flashed several stock firmwares with Odin with no change.
I have an EFS backup from an old S2 (same model) that was water damaged beyond repair and thrown away. Is it possible to put that IMEI on this phone? I have tried copying it and going through this process detailed here and it completes fine but doesn't make a sausage of difference, even after reboot.
Any ideas or is it shagged?
I thought if the EFS folder was deleted the IMEI reverted to the Samsung default IMEI? When I dial the #06 all it says is "IMEI" in large letters.
Oh deary deary....

ignore this post! Someone took out the baseband chip. Well that was a waste of 3 hours!
Hi.
i recently got an alpha 850fq from someone and it just stopped working after a day. Everything is okay except it shows NULL IMEI AND BASEBAND so i am not getting network signals. Please tell me how to fix it if its hardware or software problem.
(It was just lying there and the problem happened on its on.....it did once get its imei back for 2,3 minutes and lost again when i restarted) i have not done any modification/rooting on this device.
UPDATE ON THE ISSUE, the Baseband and imei come back randomly and keep working unless i change Mobile network to "LTE/GSM" auto connect and enable 4g or 3g data....it seems the baseband gets corrupted only when i enable 3g or 4g....i have the EFS backup and restoring it when the imei baseband are null does not do anything. For some reason they come back on their on randomly.

I tried to Restore factory settings , but no use .
I have to say that at the time that the phone is losing connection with the world , I can see on the right top of the phone that I have "Absorption" .
also at that time im getting Wi-Fi .
I have 4.3 android
the imei is normally - 353976.....
I don't no what to do , please advice me
Type in dialer *#0011# an check info in IMEI CERT line. If it is FAIL info than probably you lost your serial number and it need to be repaired via box in any service center. It's due to efs corruption.
If you have efs backup you should restore it.
If there is PASS info than it is hardware fault, ie . antenna wire or SIM port need to be replaced or reconnected properly. It's hard to say.
From the software side you can try to change 3g to 2g or vice versa to check signal strength. Turning on airplane mode, restarting and turning off could also help. Checking APN settings is also good place to search for the reason.

hi SirKunon ,
thanks for your advice , ive done what you've told me and I get - pass !
now what? to change the antenna although I have wifi anytime ? or this antenna is not related to the wifi?
to change the sim-port?
how do I know that I have to replace these two items - antenna+sim port?
what about the "apn" ?
what about flashing new rom or new karnell?
waiting for your advice
Od course you should primary search for software issues and restoration methods before taking screwdriver
If factory reset doesn't help then flashing stock rom should be a next reasonable step. Take out your SIM card and SD card before flashing. SIM card will copy it's APN settings to new flashed firmware later.
BTW you shouldn't repartition your phone in this case. It is not necessary. Just flash newest stock which corresponding with your country code.

what kind of "software issues and restoration methods" do you recommand me?
what kind of rom (with "more local 2" language support) yoou recommand?
how do i know that i have a root ?
First make a factory reset via system settings or recovery mode.
Second you can try Kies software initialization and restore option to write original firmware hardcoded with your device serial number.
Third upgrade firmware via Kies to newest version.
You can bypass second and third step if you prefer using Odin but if you're asking about root than I think you should use Kies to avoid problems. You don't have yet knowledge to use unofficial tools even if they are more effective.
But Odin don't have access to Samsung's device info database and can't automatically restore your factory firmware. Kies allows that by provided tool of phone's initialization.
Not many users know that option even less are using it but it is good solution for newbies.
If your phone was equipped originaly with Android lower than 4.2 in example 4.1.2 you will not be able to use your efs folder converted already do version 2. But don't worry. Just upgrade to 4.3 via Kies and everything should work flawlessly.

ok ,
after 3 days of observing I can say that the problem is - the network isn't Available , especially at closing places like my home , my office .
so , what you suggest - replacing the antenna+sim port ? ...they cost a few dollars ...
or ,
replacing to a new rom , although its the original rom of Samsung (4.3) and im very satisfied from him for a long long time - almost two years without any problem !!!
or ,
replacing the "radio"/modem/karnel ??? ...im not so expert so I don't know about it
I really need your advice before throwing my s3 to the ...
I understand that everything worked flawlessly in this configuration and suddenly problems occur, right? If you didn't modify your software than problem may be in hardware.
Install app called Network Signal Info and check radio power of BTS towers and received signal. Try both 2g and 3g modes and compare results.
Replacing antenna is very easy, here you go tutorial how to do this:

thnx , but you what is so funny ? My two brothers has the same phone company and we both has the same micro-sim , they have htc and lg , and i have s3 , so , they dont have any problem as i do .
So , what do you think? To replace the antena?
...by the way , do we have any tool to cheak the current antena?
is there any connection between the wi fi (that I have perfect) and the cellular signal (that is dissapeer suddenly) ? are they working on the same antene?
I wrote above about the tool you can check that. Can't diagnose your problem without any data about signal strength and such.
Don't know is it badly positioned middle frame, disconnected or faulty antenna wire, faulty chip on the motherboard or flooded circuits. I don't have your phone in my hands to check all of this. You need to do it. I can only guess because there is plenty of things which can affect your problem.
Software, hardware, cell operator... You need to eliminate them by checking one by one starting from the essential which is software configuration, wipes, flashing new system. Than, if nothing else help, you can check your hardware.
Replace battery for new one. Unscrew middle and middle-top frames, check flood markers, clean connectors, reconnect them. If this will not help than you can try to replace simcard Bay, antenna wire. If this fail you will need to reflow GSM chip in sevice center.

ok here are the results -
when I cheaked outside my home it showed - -83 dbm 11 asu
when I cheaked inside my home , the signal was weak and it showed - -105 dbm 7 asu
I've got - 71dBm*21ASU inside my apartment.
Something is really wrong with your antenna or modem.
Install Getting app from Playstore and check your right matches modem version. If not use download and install rid option within this app.
Also compare those results with another phone.
