Does the P760 battery fit inside the P769? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Also since the p760 battery has NFC, does this mean that using a p760 battery on the p769 will activate NFC? (with a proper kernel of course)

Have you checked the part numbers?

I'm not sure which numbers i should be looking at. Some websites that sell p760 batteries advertise it as working for the p769 too, and some don't which confuses me

Does anyone know if this battery has NFC? It's an offical LG battery. http://www.amazon.com/LG-Optimus-P8...74&sr=1-2&keywords=lg+optimus+l9+p760+battery

I think it does. No way to tell unless we were to tear one apart or contact LG, but the BL-53QH is the same battery in a handful of models like the 4X and it has NFC.

NFC is not in battery. There is only extra connector for power backup in battery. NFC chip is on main board and that's why are antenna pins from there to back cover...

There are products like Samsung where the NFC antena is placed inside the battery. But LG opted to put the NFC antena on the battery cover. I know this because i have an LG P760 (with NFC).
So buying a battery intended for P760 will not enable NFC. The mainboard has to be equiped with an NFC chip, and then you could just buy the battery cover for the antena.
I'm not that foud of NFC, i have only used it once, to see if it works. I would rather have the 8Mpx camera than the NFC.

[Q] Atrix Extended Aftermarket batteries

Just posting to get opinions on after market batteries. I have owned the Atrix 4G since the day it came out with no complaints whatsoever. The battery life seems to be comparable to my old iPhone 3g (which i hated) but because the Atrix is so much better I obviously have it opened and am using it a lot more.
-Is it worth it to buy the optional extended batteries?
-Are they bigger that OEM batteries?
-How much longer is the battery life?
-If so, I assume my current Otter Box would not fit?
Thank you for the help.

The largest is a Seidio (which I dont think is out) it's only a 2200 MAH, compared to our 1900 (ish) MAH. I got a new replacement from moto because my battery life wasn't lasting as long as it was when i first bought it. Turned out I actually had the wrong battery mode on and it was using up too much power.
I have the 3600 mah, and while its big and you can't use a phone, it makes it easier to hold the phone imo, and lasts all day easily.

Jeez that thing would last me like 2 days
Userid moretalktime on eBay sells custom TPU cases the atrix with the extended battery installed.

My review with heavy usage says you'll last forever. Now I squeeze a day and a half with stock battery. That battery pushes me several.

do you have a prob where the % do not reflect the actual battery usage? my battery can show 30% but after a reboot it will show 100%. I can do a reboot twice before it shows the actual %
I can confirm CEOGUY's report on the Seidio3200. It is indeed a beast.
I too experienced the battery calibration problem. I am now using the latest Battery Monitor Widget. Something was fixed in a recent update that allows the calibration to work correctly.

Does the battery req a special charger? Or just charging direct from the phone will be sufficient
No special charger, I use the OEM one.

[Q] Phone not turning on after over voltage

Hello,
Recently I was trying to make my own charging cord. I found some old charger and stripped it. On the charger there were 3 wires. a green, black, and white one. I then plugged my phone in and tried it out. I believe I used the green and white wire but Im not completely sure. After connecting the wires a spark flew from it. After that I checked my phone and now it won't turn on. I am wondering if there is anything that could fix this.
You probably either fried the battery or shorted out the logic board. You could try another battery first(which requires partial disassembly). Otherwise, if its the logic board, you may as well buy another DNA.
Sounds like you borked the hardware. Does it charge when you plug an official charger in. If there is no sign of life at all probably bricked it.

No I've tried charging it with its original charger. I may just buy a new phone or try replacing the battery. It depends how easy it is to replace. Any other ideas?
Thanks

There are 2 possibilities. Either the battery fried or the entire board fried. Hopefully it's the battery because to get a new board put in is about 270$. I would try replacing the battery first and see how it goes.

How difficult exactly is it to replace the battery?

I would think it would be difficult since it's under everything else on the phone. The battery also has strong adhesive holding it to the housing. I've seen people bend it trying to get it out so it's in there pretty good. I can't imagine it would be easy.

I want to say that maybe it's a sensor for when the battery door is open? Not really sure to be honest.

I don't think there is a sensor for that. I believe the warning you see just pops up when you restart the device or unplug a charger.
It's more then likely the nfc antenna if that's what your talking about.

oversized battery

has anyone tried an oversized battery. I see some 3800s that you can still use the factory back for.
Bump was wondering this too.

I was thinking about trying one of those but they can say whatever they want on the label but it doesn't mean anything...
I got some 3800 off eBay and my phone actually started locking up and I had to pull battery to get phone working again.

From what I've read and personal experience... Either get an OEM Battery or wait for ZeroLemon to come out with their Battery which I think is soon.
The others you'll find on eBay are junk. I bought one just to see and yep.. Junk.
Plus I don't think it's possible to have a 3800mah be the same size as the stock 3000 mah
