I was wondering if there is an app or work around to allow the phone to RECIEVE sound from bluetooth and/or wifi (or wifi direct) and play it through the speaker or headset

Hi, everybody, I am a new friend.
Dont think you can do it through bluetooth but rSpeakers (on play store) says it can do it through wifi. never used it myself so cant confirm how it works but thats what I found through google.

Do you have something that blocks network access, like DroidWall, installed?
EDIT: To clear up - DroidWall has the ability to block an app's access to the network for 3g, wifi, or both. So it's POSSIBLE, if you have it installed, that you have it allowed for 3g, but not for wi-fi.
That said: is it ONLY on your home wi-fi that you get this? Try it on another wi-fi network. Does it work on any other wi-fi network? If so, then if you think there is no firewall on your home wi-fi, then I think you're wrong.
it does not on any wi fi network and I did not installed any kind if firewall app

Not a very large sampling size. I'd try some more.
EDIT: someone else on here was having trouble with a web site on wifi, that worked on 3g. Turned out he had issues with his hosts file. If you're rooted, look in /etc for a hosts file, and see if it has addresses for vlingo in it. I don't know what those addresses might be, you'll have to research that yourself.

the folder is actually created by an apk to prevent ads in games and there are done urls that are redirected to some IP will look if vlingo is in it
EDIT: deleted the file still doesn't work one thing I noticed it gives.error when it hear noises if I don't make any noise then no error it just waits for command

Did you reboot after deleting? (incidentally, you should ALWAYS back up files before you delete them...)

Hmm. Well, SOMETHING is blocking your phone from getting to vlingo's servers when you're on wifi. ... But I've run out of ideas, if you're SURE you don't have a firewall on your home wifi, and you got rid of your/etc/hosts file.
How many other wifi networks have you tried this on now?

I woke up and voila it works with home wi fi . don't know what happened :-D now the market problem remains only. market apps not showing
EDIT: again the problem :'(

So I have 2 phones and I have a new car stereo that is paired to both. I only need to LG for audio streaming and I was wondering if anyone knows how to disable the phone portion under the LG BT control Panel. I know on some older Android phones I could tell it I just wanted to use the BT for Audio Streaming but on this one there are 2 options underneath the profile for the radio and when i click them it just tries to connect to the radio is that connection type, I can't uncheck the boxes. Pictures below to show what happens.
Try to do it when you are in the car, with it already connected.

I will try it again without the other phone paired and see if it matters. What LGOG do you have though, just curious.
Just the stock At&t LGOG. And yeah it should work. i tried it with it no being connected to anything and it was doing the same thing, and i tried it in my car and it let me unselect it.

Got it working but if I use the other phone and then turn off my BT on it and then turn the BT on the LGOG I can't play anything off of it, ugh. Probably a problem with the radio.
I'm with Vodafone UK and disabled every option I can find to so my phone auto connecting to BT openzone, yet if I have my wifi enabled when out and about it keeps connecting to it.
I wouldn't mind but can't get it to actually work, so would rather it not connect at all.
This isn't the same as connecting to open networks as it doesn't do that automatically it only connects to BT openzone and networks I have set it to remember.
Anyone any ideas what else I can set to stop this?

Yeah. But I switched all the options off. Also appeared to do it before I installed the Vodafone app too.

Try going into Wi-Fi and forgetting all the BT connections that you can see

That's the thing... I never asked it to connect to them and they still connect even after forgetting them.

You can save bluetooth pairing and wifi ap's with titanium backup. Dont know if the free version will do it so you might have to purchase pro.

Yeah, I never use Google backup. To many devices on my account (five total). End up getting my kids games and such restored to my phone. I guess my experience with titanium is mostly with my old thunderbolt... the accounts, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc., never seemed to work, but we were working off of a lot of cobbled together bases. So I never really tried it with my more modern devices.

I'm running baja rom by @Surge1223 which uses Wanam Xposed framework. SS 3.71 on MJ7. Is it possible to put a button in the pull down tab for switching headphones between stereo and mono? Usually at work I only use one ear bud and need mono but otherwise I listen with 2 buds in stereo. I'm tired of going to settings>device>accessibility then scroll and check the box every time.
Thanks in advance for your ideas!
Anyone help a brother out?

I'm not sure if this is possible but I've never tried something like this. I'm wondering if there is an app you could download that would be able to do this for you.
