So i was trying out foxfi app. Didn't like it now I uninstalled it and my swipe to unlock is greyed out. And no idea how to get it back. Any suggestions smart people of the universe?

I don't think the foxfi would cause this but try looking at your vpn settings under more networks. If vpn it's enabled you are required to have some sort of password or pattern

It says my vpn. Should I delete that or reset it? To get it back to normal? I never used vpn before

Just wiped/flashed the base and now I get no data anywhere. Checked all the settings and everything but I can only make calls, text and use WiFi. Does anyone have this problem?

Did you check your APN?

Checked the apns, ATT is highlited. Is there a place where I can see the regular ones for reference?

did you try toggling your LTE using the LTE swtich available in TheBase? if yes, you'll need to edit your build.prop to correct the issue.

Mine is the same one and even if it wasn't, the phone won't let me edit apns. Thanks anyway

Man I had this issue today. I could not figure out why data wasn't working. Then I looked in settings > data usage, and noticed that in the top right, mobile data was off! Didn't know there was a switch for it on that screen.

Yea I caught that but it was already on. Thanks for the support though

Have you tried removing the SIM card then putting it back in?
Tried that too. Didn't work

Hi, could you solve it. I´ve just bought the phone and I´m facing the same problem. I don´t have anything in the APN and I don´t have the option to define it.
Every time I lose my data, I fix it by turning Airplane mode on. Then I reboot my phone (with airplane mode still turned on) and when it finishes I turn airplane mode back off and everything is fine again. Hope that works for you?
I've noticed when I'm out and about that my wifi will automatically turn on without me doing anything. Has anyone else experienced this?
My only thought would be maybe a Google Now feature that's turning it on based on my location but idk.
Any thoughts?

Which app are you using?
I'm using the one that came on the phone. It say "you need the mobile hotspot feature from verizon wireless to use this feature"

If your using the stock one it wont work try this it comes on almost all ROMs.

That didn't work, my phone is on ICS android 4.0.3, HTC sense version 3.6

You have to be rooted to use any of the tether apps, otherwise it will keep telling you that you need the feature added to your plan.

Pretty much.
The WiFi tether that comes with most ROMs never works for me, so I use this:

It's an extra, paid service from Verizon. If it's not on your plan you can't use it until you add it and pay for it. Or you can root and use wifi tether.
Thanks guys....will consider rooting.

The message arrives with a download button. Pressing download only gives a downloading indicator, no pic. If it worked where would the pic be downloaded to? Gallery?

Solved: turn off wi-fi. Download using mobile data instead. Stupid if you ask me.

Can't say I've ever had that problem, my phone stays connected to Wi-Fi nearly 24/7 except for when driving or out eating as I have it connected to Wi-Fi at home and work. Never once have I had any issue with downloading pictures/videos sent via text while connected to Wi-Fi.

I've had this issue when coverage was spotty and it was talking a while to download. It eventually downloaded but it did take longer than normal.

Mine automatically picks up mobile data and downloads and sends the picture when connected to WiFi. Have you messed with your APNs? Have you tried flashing a new modem/radio?

Auto retrieve is enabled. I haven't messed with the APN. I have flashed a new modem. No different results.

So I decided to re-root my S4....however I can't seem to find the usb debugging option that TiBU tells me to activate. Anyone know where to find it?

Go to Settings/More/About, tap the Build Number entry repeatedly until developer mode is enabled, then find the setting you need there.

While there uncheck Verify Apps Via Usb, then back out and go to Security. Under Unknown sources Uncheck Verify Apps
