Hi,
I need some ideas. I bought a bluetooth OBDII car interface and I was planning to use it with my P7510. But, when i try to activate the bluetooth in the Galaxy (pressing the icon in the notification bar), the icon stays dark green for a while and then turn gray again. It don´t "turn on" (light green) like the WIFI icon, for example. The same if I try to turn on in the config menu, the button stays about 10 seconds in the ON position and then returns to OFF position.
The tablet is in the version 4.0.4, and I´m shure some time ago the bluetooth was working, because I use it to control a Lego NXT robot.
OK, I thing that some program messed with the bluetooth, and then a try to flash a new ROM with CWWM. Before the flash I do the follow steps:
Wipe Cache, Dalvik, Factory Reset, AND SYSTEM PARTITION. In CWM, use "format /system" under Mounts and Storage.
The first time, after reboot, the bluetooth was working and then a start to recover some Titanium Backup. After some time, I check again the bluetooth, and it´s not working anymore.
After I tryied to flash (all with the steps above) the same ROM and others 3 different ROM (including a 3.2 version), I can´t get the bluetooth working anymore. The questions:
- If a flash with ODIN, can I get different result or ODIN and CWM did the same thing ?
- The above wipes are suficient to erase all residues from the previous ROM ?
- A unmodded Samsung ROM is a option ?
- Any other suggestion ?
Thanks in advance
I get it working again flashing a samsung rom with odin,
Thanks

Wi-Fi Tab 10.1, rooted and running Bonsai 0.2, all was well until it suddenly turned off on me (crashed). I turned it on, and as soon as I got past the lockscreen, a bunch of apps started force closing, and the box asking which launcher you want to use was flashing incredibly fast, on and off, so you could not use it. I also think I saw a "database error" message in the notification area.
I rebooted a few times with same result, so I rebooted to recovery, wiped data, wiped cache and wiped dalvik. Flashed Bonsai, and Tab runs fine now, with one exception. When it boots, for a few seconds, the top part of the screen (maybe the top 20% of the screen - a rectangle) is garbage - all different colors. The tab gets past this and works fine, but I am wondering if I should reformat the SD card, using the "Partition SD Card" option in the Advanced section of CWM.
And, if I do this, what are the correct settings?
Any thoughts?
That static screen you're seeing is a know issue. It won't hurt anything. But one way to get rid of it is...
1. Make a nandroid backup
2. Transfer that backup to your computer
3. Flash stock retail recovery ( http://db.tt/wSIvJp5 ) in download mode with Odin
4. Wipe data/factory reset in stock recovery
5. Transfer nandroid backup back to your tab.
6. Flash cmw
7. Restore your back up via cmw
No more static screen anymore.
Excellent, I will do that tonight.
Many thanks!!
I'll tell my story.
STORY
I didn't really need to jailbreak my phone to do advanced stuff or tweaks. I was getting a low storage notificationand considering i didn't installed games, only social networks and daily use apps, i though there was a simple solution to move all them to the SD card. I found a mod that allows exactly that but I did my research and i found that i had to do a lot of things.
1.Root (Alcatel OneTouch 990 / Froyo 2.2.2) - I used PdaNet and SuperOneClick 1.9.5 (latest versions didn´t work, more standard root processes neither)
2.Install Recovery ClockworkMod - I Used ROM Manager and Recovery Manager (The last got the work done)
3. Flash the ROM - I didn't know that install the ROM and flash it were different things so i did next without flashing MY MISTAKE
4. install Ext4All fix - I used the Recovery mode of Clockwork. / it said that now i had "a system with steroids" but all i have is a (i hope not totally) bricked phone
CURRENT STATE
I'd like to think is not unarguably dead. PdaNet still recognizes it when i plug it in the computed.
If i try to turn my phone on, it shows Android logo and after that it goes to a black dark screen forever, but the touch icons are with light (i hadn't waited more than a pair of minutes, actually)
If i try a hard reset going to recovery mode (volume up + power) it shows the Android logo, and after that goes to a black screen but illuminated by the backlight, similar to the one that was shown when the cellphone wasn´t bricked.
¿Any idea? ¿Did i lost it forever?
Hi all,
I think I broke my Galaxy S (I9000). I hope you can help me somehow. Here is the history of things I already did/tried
- my phone was working and had cyanogenmod 9.1 installed
- I wanted to give my phone a little speedup and wiped the cache and dalvik cache partition (did this before and it worked before)
- after this, phone was in a boot loop (even the battery loading animation rebooted over and over)
- the download mode still worked, but no recovery menu appeared!
- as given on cyanogenmod homepage in the install guide I flashed ClockworkMod Recovery using heimdall
- after that, recovery worked again
- I copied the cm9.1 zipfile on my phone to flash it, wiped the whole phone (factory reset), but flashing fails at some asserts (even though I disabled asserts) that seem to check that the target device really is a Galaxy S (I9000) (unfortunatly, I do not have a screenshot and cannot provide one now)
- I also had a ClockworkMod backup I tried to recover, but it fails at restoring /system (unfortunatly, I do not have a screenshot and cannot provide one now)
- so I thought, maybe I can use a regular firmware and flash it with Odin3 (1.87) to make things working at least a little
- started odin, selected firmware and started, but Odin3 got hung at some early point, so I closed Odin after ~10 minutes (see screenshot odin.jpg)
- when I now start my phone, only two symbols appear which kind of signal a problem with a connection to a (PC-)host which I have never seen before (see screenshot startscreen.jpg)
I tried a lot, but now I am out of ideas. Can you help?

Turn off phone, remove usb cable from pc if it's connected, remove battery, wait around 10 seconds, while battery is still not in the phone press the button combination for download mode. While u still holding the button combination for download mode, force reinsert the battery. Now phone should go into download mode automatically. Connect cable to pc and phone and flash stock Rom via Odin. Good luck
Worked! Great! Phone is back in download mode. Unfortunatly my work pc does not detect the Samsung composite device so I have to wait until I am back home. I hope Odin is working then. As given, it did not when I last tried.
Can you tell me what kind of mode this is, when those two symbols appear?
Robert
It's not any mode, it just an indication that earlier download mode flashing via Odin failed or interrupted by user.
U probably need to kill Kies process via Windows task manager before flashing with Odin because it's known to interrupt Odin, make it hung at setup connection.
Hi,
brought my phone into download mode again and this time odin flashed succesful. However, Kies was never installed on this computer so I have no idea why it worked now.
After flashing the phone rebooted, but stated several errors. They are similar to those which appear on reflashing with the cm91 zip via recovery mode ( "unable to mount ... (file exists)" ). I have made a screenshot and attached it. You have an idea how to help?
I have tried both the 512 and the 803 pit file, same results.
Thanks,
Robert
Tried to re reboot after those errors, but the S-Animation of the stock rom during boot never ended.
Robert
I took another stock firmware, JVI, which contains also a CSC and PDA image. Flashing worked, phone booted, Works!
I will see how to come back to my cm91, but a great step forward .
Thanks,
Robert
Made it back to cm91 . Thank you for your support.
Here are the steps ...
- applied I9000XWJVI.zip with 512 pit and repartition (2.3.3 based german stock firmware)
- applied I9000XWJW6_I9000DBTJW2_DBT (2.3.6 based german stock firmware)
- applied cf-root-xx_oxa_jw4-v4.4-cwm3rfs.zip as this clockworkmod recovery is able to disable verifications before appling a zip
- applied cm91 zipfile
- restored my backup

I have a problem with one of my Lenovo A830 phones.
I bought it from Etotalk, so it came rooted, and with their custom version of the Lenovo Stock ROM and their custom version of CWM 5.5 installed.
I tried formatting my SD card and then doing a factory data reset from within the operating system. (I was intending to install MIUI V5 after rebooting into recovery).
However, on rebooting, the device is now caught in an infinite boot loop, and I am not able to boot into recovery mode (by holding down power and both volume keys). It loads the initial splash screen, then shows a few seconds of the Android character and some whirring cogs before rebooting.
I am able to boot into Factory mode (power and volume up) or Meta mode (power and volume down). Factory mode has a number of options, but they are all in Chinese characters, which I am unfortunately not able to read.
I did notice that my SD card seemed to be write protected when I tried to format it in my computer and to copy on the new ROM - I solved this by putting it in a different phone and reformatting it. I wonder whether the factory reset process has write protected something it shouldn't have?
Does anyone know how I might best proceed? I've been digging around on the forums, and tried a few things, but there's nothing which seems to provide a coherent solution for this problem.
I've got the latest Android SDK Tools, MTK Droid Tools 2.4.8, SP Flash Tool 3.1312, some additional ADB drivers (120827 v3.7) that I'm not sure how to install, the latest MIUI V5 ROM (3.8.16), and the latest stock Lenovo ROM (S118 from Need A ROM, just in case I need it).
Maybe different SP Flash Tools version?
I had trouble using SP Flash Tools v3.1312 with A830. Once I switched to v3.1304.0.119 I was able to flash both the original ROM and the custom MIUI one without serious issues. I'm unable to post the download link but google it.
One other thing is that when connecting the phone, it usually loads the something something Preloader driver, which is no good (even if it gives you Download OK). When attempting to flash either ROM, try pressing both the power and volume up buttons while connecting the phone (after pressing Download), only way it worked for me.
Good luck!
I managed to sort this out quite simply in the end!
On the Lenovo A830 (and presumably other Lenovo Android phones?), you enter recovery by pressing power and then pressing volume up / down together after a short pause. The short 1 - 2 second pause is important, because if you try and press them at the same time or in quick succession it doesn't seem to work.
I then installed MIUI V5 from the SD card followed by Google Apps after a reboot. In order to get MIUI to install, I had to remove the assert check at the top of the update script, because this seems to erroneously check for the A820 (even though there isn't currently a port for this device?). It's working excellently with two exceptions - I am unable to select the SD card as a storage device, and Google Play store is not searchable (it causes a Force Close).

Hi I had similar "reboot loop" problem this morning after a phone factory reset.
I have no idea how I solved that but the following was the steps I tried:
1. Install the MTK6589_PdaNET_ADB_VCOM_Drivers. Skip the USB connection during setup. Start the PdaNET after setup finished.
2. Insert battery inside the phone and connect the phone with the computer by USB
In my case, the phone reboot loop once, and the lenovo screen appeared in the second restart. The phone hanged. I unplugged the cable, took out the battery, insert the battery again and start the phone normally again and it is working now.
I recommend installing the recovery rom after you have fixed the phone.
Goodluck
Hello
Yesterday i have recieved the Pepsi (Koobee) P1S. it was full of bloatware so i decided to flash a modded rom. After i realized that this custom rom is only in english and chinese (Im German) i wanted to switch back to the original. But then i made the biggest mistake: I have flashed the false rom (CM for Mt6592 CPU but false Smartphone). After that i have flashed the right original rom again. but a strange Error appears: the Phone boot up normaly and then freeze and reboot by itself..over and over again. But not at the same step. Sometimes it freeze during the Bootanimation..sometimes it boot up completly and i can swipe through the Screens (for about 10 sec). When i push the standby button (Display went off) the Phone stays in this mode and dont freeze.
the i flashed TWRP and try to wipe the phone. Even in TWRP it freeze, but not during the wipes or in the Boot Mode slelect screen.
I Have a friend with the same phone. Is it possible to copy a complete backup (eMMC etc) to my phone? Or someone had a Idea what i can try next? I have flashed different roms (for this phone) so many times, but the error is still there.
Please help me.. It should be a present for my GF birthday today
SOLUTION
I downloaded the flashtool that flashes MTK Devices then searched google for Pepsi p1s needrom and downloaded the original firmware scatter file, turn off the P1S unplug it from USB,...Start the flashtool, and search the firmware will be second search bar select search and browse your computer for the firmware you downloaded from needrom, then you will see it load all the files.....there is a button bar that has an arrow open the arrow and select firmware update, then hit the green go button after you hit the green go button plug in your powered off PEPSI P1S ....it will give you a red bar on the flashtool at bottom first, then it will format your device properly, then install all the necissary files, its real quick about 3 minutes, after a box will pop up on the screen and say OK with a big check mark, at this point you can unplug your phone, power it up and wait about 3 minutes, everything will be normal again. So sorry I would post the links however I forgot my password and username that I was using for many years and forgot my recovery email as well.....so if you google it you can find the stuff, just hope I helped with the proper method of flashing......good luck, let me know how it goes.
Thanks but i know how to flash the firmware with SP Flash Tool. i have flashed the P1S with 3 different roms..but always the same error (freeze and reboot at different points)
Are you using download mode? Or firmware update? The reason I ask is download mode always gave me a bootloop, but when switched to firmware update mode it formats the device correctly and fixes the file structure, try firmware update mode.
Im using "Format All + Download"
Try using firmware update mode, let me know what happens.
same problem...freeze (at different points) ans reboot.
here you can see what happen:

try this! P1
power off
then hold power button + volume down
the boot mode will appear
select recovery
it will show you no command
then pres power button first and the press volume up
now you device is on recovery
then select
wipe data/factory reset.

I have noted one thing.
when I update supersu to play store and reboot it goes in bootloop.
so I recommend not to upgrade or even to make unroot just after removing apps with viruses
