Never tried it on stock, but when I try 4oD on CM10.1 the gui all loads fine and I can select the programmes and pick an episode. However when it comes to playing I just get a black screen with a spinner.
I've tried to download files and that appears to work, but when it reaches around the 80% mark it hangs and finally comes up with an error message.
It happens with both AdAway enabled and disabled, on home and work wifi. On my GS3 it works under all those scenarios.
Anyone else had any luck?

Nope. Seems to want to work but never loads the video.
Same problems I'm having, but it never worked when my nook was stock.
It also does the same thing on my HTC phone.
I'm leaning towards it being a problem with the app, not our devices.
If you look at the reviews, the majority of the recent ones have similar issues!

Is any one else having this issue. It's in multiple ROM's , and not only when watching video, but can happen at any time, any game, etc.
The tablet will just go blank and i have to reboot it to get it working again.
I have tried upping the minimum clock setting to see if maybe that's it, but that didn't seem to fix it either.
Any ideas? would love to be able to use my tablet without it having to be rebooted often to do basic stuff.
thanks for your help.
I installed CM7 and "knock on wood" have been able to keep the tablet from doing it's weird blank shut down issue. Have even watched video's i have not been able to watch up to this point.
My SGS2 (original AT&T version) has started rebooting randomly once every 3 or so days. It doesn't appear to be triggered by any single thing or event. The last time it happened was when I was opening the Market. The device rebooted back to the Samsung Galaxy S II boot screen.
I've been pretty careful with the phone (only installed trustworthy looking apps, etc). The phone never rebooted in the first 30 days of ownership. Sometime after that it started rebooting with increasing frequency.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
I also had this issue. I returned my phone for another one. I havent had the issue on the new phone but I am crossing my fingers that it doesnt start doing it again on this new device.
Thanks for the input. I had an Atrix that also exhibited this problem after 3 weeks of use. Based on the similarities, I figured it must be something in common on both devices.
At first I tried removing the microSD card I had installed (same one I used in both devices). I still had reboot issues after removing the microSD so it probably wasn't the source of the problems.
I finally realized it was the Dolphin HD browser that was always 'involved' in the reboots. I noticed that I could sometimes trigger a reboot by exiting the browser. The device would stop responding and then reboot after a small timeout. Sometimes the reboots would happen after opening another app, but it was always preceded by exiting Dolphin HD.
I found a thread in the international SGS2 forums that talks about this issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321612. It seems that it doesn't affect everyone, so it may be just be some combination of settings / installed apps that triggers the reboots.
For now I've uninstalled Dolphin HD and am using the stock browser. I'm going to use the stock browser for a while and see if removing Dolphin HD fixes the issues.
EDIT: To clarify, this only appears to happen if I 'Exit' the browser. Leaving it running in the background doesn't appear to cause reboot issues, which may be why I didn't run into this issue until now.
That looks really strange, dolphin never gave me any issues. However you can try using opera browser that is my main browser and supports all the features.
Soft reboot (back to bootanimation/homescreen) or hard reboot (back to Samsung screen)?

It automatically reboots back to the Samsung Galaxy S II screen. It then proceeds to go through the AT&T boot animation and finally ends up at the home screen. I assume this would mean it's a hard reboot?
I haven't had any reboot issues since I uninstalled Dolphin HD. I'm not sure if it's truly caused by Dolphin so I'm going to try a few more days without Dolphin before reinstalling it.
As a side note, I noticed some other issues which may or may not be related. These occur even with Dolphin uninstalled.
- Menu button sometimes not responding on the homescreen unless I go to 'Applications' and go back to the homescreen. Once I enter / exit the Applications screen the homescreen menu button will work again. Issue seems to be related to enabling/disabling the GPS from the notification bar, but I haven't reliably reproduced the issue.
- GPS not locking for long periods of time, even though it shows 6+ satellites in view. Sometimes it will lock within 10 seconds. My guess is some sort of AGPS download problem (maybe related to how supl is set to use wap.cingular?). A quick search on Google reveals a number of people suffering the same issue on the AT&T SGS2. All posts also indicate that it worked fine for 5+ weeks before GPS issues started to show up.
I'm trying to hold off on resetting my device back to factory defaults. I want to track down the problem instead of just assuming it was some bug that won't happen again. Based on the international forum posts, the Dolphin HD issue will come back eventually even with a reset.
Thanks again for all the input and help!
Yup that's a hard reboot. An app shouldn't be able to cause a hard reboot like this, but it is not possible to debug. Stock kernels don't have ramconsole for crash debugging.
Has anyone tried out the Monopoly game on TF300.
It is one of my fav games from my Sony Tablet days.
However when I try to play it on TF300, initially it runs fine (Although loading time is a bit slow) but after playing for few minutes the screen starts flickering and flashing and becomes unresponsive. The background music continues fine.
Only way to get out of the scenario is to hit the home button and then manually stop the game.
Has anyone else faced problems like this?? Also, is there some kind of display driver or other updates available?? (I currently have the latest firmware that asus provided via the last update)
Worked good for me.
Try turning the music off.
I'll do that.
But do you keep the tablet in balanced mode? Or do you turn the aggressive mode on?? Does that make a difference?
Nope turning off sound didnt make a difference. I also turned up the processor to aggressive mode. Game starts well. But after a few minutes, suddenly at some animation. the touch buttons dont work and then the screen starts to flicker. Also, if I click the Home button and then try to get back to the game it just gives me a black screen (Isnt it supposed to keep running in the background untill I close it?)
So only way is to stop the game and restart it. Strange thing is that the game knows exactly where I had last exited and takes me back to the same position. So it has actually autosaved itself before I forcefuly quit the game (Cos the screen started flickering)
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but that didnt work. I saw a comment in the feedback section which suggested that some other tablet users have also faced similar issue. Dunno whether it was solved or not. Could also be a problem with the game with settings specific to ICS. But a beast like TF300 should ideally run every damn game without even a minor hickup.
My tf300 is stock .29.
I have the amazon app store version of the game.
Have you powered down your 300 since installing the game? Some games seem to work better after a complete powerdown.
Yep I have powered down. I even did a system reset cos my tablet was lagging at times. After the factory reset with Apex Launcher, the tablet is blazing fast. However the monopoly problem still continues. (I really hoped that it would be solved )

you are on the .29 firmware?
Yes ver 29 firmware. All other games work absolutely fine (which ever works on my tablet that is .... including Fifa 12). Only for this app time and again the screen becomes responsive and starts flickering. I am on the US firmware.
I already sent my complaint to both the developers as well as in Google Play store. If I get a refund I'll probably try to purchase the same from Amazon again.
Do you guys have the apk from amazon??
Hi all.. I just got the padfone x a few days ago and I am noticing very odd behavior with the iHeartRadio app and was wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing. When I first installed IHR it worked just fine. I was able to use it in both phone and tablet mode without a problem. Now whenever I try launching the app I get an error that says that the app has been disabled and does not work in phone mode. I went so far as to actually completely reset my phone and start over from scratch. That fixed it for a day and now it is doing it again. I made sure that the app was not active for dynamic display and it is not. In fact it doesn't even show up under the app list there. It does show up under my settings menu under installed apps. I deleted the cache and data for the app and it didn't change anything. I installed the iHeartRadio Auto app to see if that would work and it works just fine both ways. If I dock my phone to the tablet then the regular iheartradio app opens just fine.
Has anyone else encountered this error? I did try to reboot the phone, restore it, remove the app, and then tried installing it again. That was the worst thing I could do as it wouldn't even install again from the play store. I got an error saying it was not able to be used from phone mode then got a -10 install error and it wouldn't install. Very frustrating.
Right now it is installed but can only be used in tablet mode. Thoughts?? Thanks ?

Same issue, my first time opening the app with the phone this happened. Very frustrating.
Have you found a solution since then? Auto is better than nothing, besides I only listen with headphones.
Im going to see what happens when I message them.
I ended up getting frustrated and exchanged the phone for something else. Definitely a problem with Android on that specific model since no other phone since demonstrated the same behavior. Good luck!

So, I have an unrooted i9100 with 4.1.2 Android version.
Before last night, everything was working fine on my mobile. The thing was I wanted to download youtube videos on phone directly and I installed an app for it. When I tried downloading via it, it stopped around 50%. I tried resuming the download and even restarting it but somehow (and I think each one of us, has seen it some time or the other), a download was stuck in notification bar with no progress. When it kept happening for a long time, I went to its App Info (download manager) and i think I forced stop and disabled it as well (don't remember what I did first. But I had to do the other since, the download thing didn't disappear from notification bar after the first move). After that, I noticed that my play store kept giving that "no connection - retry" thing and dolphin browser "web page unavailable, is your connection dry". But my wifi was working properly since I could easily connect to my laptop and work on it. The more ridiculous fact was that WhatsApp worked.
So, I kept looking for the solution online and there didn't appear to be anything similar to my problem. I did stumble upon a Cyanogenmod website and just found some words like never disable download manager because if you do, you might have to root again or something similar to that. When I saw that, I thought I would have to factory rest. So, I did backup of my data and reset it. The thing is the problem still exists. Frustrating thing is that for one, I can't surf internet on browser, nor download my apps I had previously (especially the paid license ones which don't exist in apk) and update them.
So, I don't really know what can be done in this situation. Do I have to root my phone? I don't really want to, because my past experience with them had not been good while installing new custom roms. But is it unavoidable at this stage?
Edit: I also remembered that I tried using mobile data to open play store. My connection was too slow to open the page, but the "no connection" was not being displayed in the home page so it might have been trying to load.
