Take out the SIM.. Rub its chip with clean cloth n try again... If still didn't detects then try putting some other SIM.. See if it detects other 1...if it does then get a new SIM issued for ur nmbr...but if doesn't detects the other SIM also thn give ur phone at Sony center!!

Sorry for not noticed about neo thread. You van try to recover your phone via pc companion and use yhe support-phone repair. From there you just need to follow the guide... it may save your phone... and warranty will still NOT VOID...

Always remember to try a factory reset. If you can't even get to that point, I guess repair is a safe option you have. But be warned, this will delete all your phone internal data i.e. data on your phone's internal memory.

i have a rooted and custom rom-ed galaxy s2 running slim bean build 4. after i flashed this and rebooted my device, i noticed that i was not receiving any signal. after going into settings > about phone> phone status, i saw that there was nothing for the signal and carrier was unknown and the signal was at 0. i went into the contacts application and tried to see if my contacts show up....they dont. after clicking settings in it, it said that i could import contacts but the only option available was through my phone storage. shouldnt there be an option to import from sim?

Alright, so I had efs problem two days back. No imei and network. So I restored to stock and problem was sorted. But now if I try to install and i9100 based stock jb port, I end up with a black screen. Even other roms ported from i9100 cause the same problem. Any kind of help would be great.

Don't know about the issues you're having but you don't need to be rooted to downgrade, just pick any rom you like and flash with flashtool.
