The magnetic sensor in my stock rom (JB) is deviated from the direction. and it is due to faulty sensor files in the stock rom.
The sensor works perfect in old ICS version.:laugh:
Is there any way to solve this problem??
Calibration apps wont work because the problem lies in the sensor files itself

when i go to every compass app ,it doesn't work.if u rotate your phone S arrow will rotate too!!!it's really sad
it used to work before,but after updating rom and kernels...it happens.
what should i do??
i am using SPARTAN ,0.62FW,rage 2.8 kernel...

The arrow is supposed to rotate, as it will keep showing to the right direction.
Make sure you are not close to any magnetic fields or like this.

yeah i know but it moves to which direction that you rotate your phone...its like accelerometer...
if u rotate to left it will rotate to left too...right it will turn to right...
it used to worked before.

Using the same rom and kernel, I also have a twitchy (malfunctioning) compass. When I used flush78, the compass app worked fine. You might want to try that rom if you really need the compass to work

Sure, the roms that i've tried that have a stable compass are: flush 78, clean n tweaked and fxp 120.

The problem is,speech sensor! All CM9.CM7 and MİUİ rom's..doing all..but unoffical cm7.1 6.5.8 old baseband rom's except,it's smooth running rom..the screen goes blank during speech and does not turn any more or pressing keys on the hardly screen is coming.sensor approaches, the screen goes blank speech and phone screen does not turn away

Hey dude it seems like a problem try changing ROM cuz there are many roms better than which u are using like try dynamite,gtr etc if problem continues then visit a service center if phone is under warranty then u are lucky!!!!

Problem is proximity sensor

I have had this problem for long, unfortunately not much is available as a solution.
This is proximity sensor problem, if you want to test it use Z-test from Play store.
Problem is in kernel, the setting of cm7 or cm9 kernel doesn't really suit our phone.
Following kernel/rom all CM7.2 only:
A kernel based on Paolo sources would be better, it makes my proximity sensor behave in a correct manner.
Roq3's latest kernel here:

GTR Rom uses Roq kernel and my proximity sensor works well with it.
And the kernel posted here always have made my sensor work:

I have tried very roms..offical roms,there is no problem..v10a,v20g kdz update no problem..sensor no problem..and cm 7.1 old baseband no problem..except for their all rom's sensor problem..
I never tried the kernel thanx "sam.bagga"..I'll try now.. be the kernel.
That sensor doesn't work on ICS yet.That's all...try any other gingerbread

I tested with the z-test app..proximity sensor problem..I tried all kernel..(franco,mario_fe,djnoxd,paolo,cafkn..)..but did not improve I'm crazy
need to take to the service? or Have you a problem in the pffss
Are you kidding me ? before you flash from gb to ics you shoul've wipped the sensor stats and vice versa.

If you wiped from the recovery menu, you shouldn't have any problem.

I did but it still continues Froyo rom's no problem..offical and custom rom no problem..I'm testing.. I have some problem with gingerbread..

I'm on Jelly Vanilla JB rom based on the extended one.
And I noticed an error in sensor while playing GTA 3. The car go left, even if I make the phone upside down :S
I do not know where to search for a fix.

Did you try calibriting ur phone? Many apps are available in play store...search for a nice one and u might be successfull

I was using cm10.1 with working camera on my xperia u, then aplied the front camera fix and didn't work. So I decided to flash stock ICS and now any camera works. this is driving me crazy, because if I flash back to cm10.1 the rear camera works again...
So my main problem is that front camera isn't working with the fix on cm10.1, but in ICS any of them.
Any ideas?

Dude, I was facing the same problem. After flashing the ICS FTF, flash CM9 or SlimCM. At least your Rear Camera would work for sure, don't know about front

In canvas turbo rom and in other roms the gesture control wont working some times coz the sensor red light is blinking low instead of a steady phase and wont at ol on until do some actions.
Try to flash with original ROM ....

I have done that and in stock all works fine but in turbo rom proximity sensor lyt is less in gesture based accepting calls anyway thanks for the assist bro
