Mine works fine. What device are you connecting to the tablet?

[Q] Things to do with an OTG cable

Just recently purchased an OTG cable and know the simple things like connecting a mouse, keyboard or thumb drive. But wanted to see what others are doing with them.
What do you use yours for?

External usb mouse, a keyboard, any usb stick or hard drive/card reader...but the killer app for me pairs the note with my Canon DSLR...

Has anyone tried connecting two phones together with the OTG? Can you just share their storage, or what happens?

no USB symbol in notification bar

Hi folks,
just like some of you I have some troubles when connecting my I9300 via USB.
After some attempts of solving this I have a new problem and no idea what to do.
When I plug in the USB cable I have no symbol in the notification bar at all. No switching of USB modes etc.
My phone is not listet as device in windows and so on...tried debug mode, reboots, no change...
It's charging through USB and I'm using the original cable from Samsung.
What am I doing wrong?
You should try another cable or other port 1st.

You can always try entering *#7284* and choose PDA mode.

OP I believe you are referring to an otg usb. If so, you probably have stock ROM 4.1.x. Samsung disabled otg support at least for p3113. I had to use a custom ROM like sungsonic hd. I lost IR blaster support but I use otg more often. I suggest you do same.
