While you can't update to Android 4.3 today, Micromax announced it will begin rolling out the Android 4.3 update to devices such as the Canvas Doodle A111 starting in the fourth quarter of 2013 (http://news.softpedia.com/news/Micromax-Confirms-Android-4-3-Updates-for-Q4-2013-371008.shtml).

I am currently using the canvas 4 stock rom (not rooted) for canvas hd a116. If canvas 4 gets a 4.3 update will I be able to update my canvas hd using ota on canvas 4 stock rom?
No bcz the rom you are using is ported for your a116 and the update will not be installed unless its ported too. Don't try installing the updated you might end up with a bricked phone.

Dont try to update using Convas 4 custom Rom . they modded convas 4 rom compatible with our device. If u update then it results in soft brick .. Dont try this
