I understand that I am in no way the first person to have boot loop problem with the font installer but the solution always seems to be to flash a rom. My problem however is that I don't have cynagonmod or aokp, I only have stock jelly bean 4.1.2 on my LG p769
I did root my Phone and I have changed my font 2 other times before but this time when I did it my phone just went into a boot loop, do I need cwm recovery? because I don't think I have that and honestly this entire process has ben nothing but confusing.
If you don't have a custom recovery then you have to flash a ROM. You have to install adb and then fastboot then sw mode to flash the right ROM. Sounds complicated but it's kinda easy once you get the hang of it. Good luck

Yes sw upgrade mode. You will need to use camendra and Lelus method for flashing.
EDIT: THIS is what I followed:

I'm having problems trying to sort this out, I've jut spend over an our trying to update the driver for my phone with the device manager but I can't tell what the phones name is under the device manager... long story short, If there is anyway to simplify the process for me due to my inability understand the Android Lingo
Gotta follow the steps on the post. Ok go to the post I sent you which will immediately send you to another post to install omap4 on your phone. Then go back to the original post to install the u-boot and x-loader for p769 then get back into the fastboot and choose 1 for fastboot. Enter sw upgrade mode and flash your ROM.

No matter what I do the program always says Waiting for OMAP44xx Device... and I think I'm having problems installing this driver. I am using Windows 8 so do you think this might have anything to do with it?
I have tried on xp and win 7 which worked so idk about 8. Here try to follow just this for omap4boot.

It took me a while to get it right but finally got it right. So don't give up! Then move on to the fastboot section.

So it turns out it was because I was using Windows 8 ( or possibly my surface pro) , I haven't flashed my phone yet but at least I've installed the driver and I'm running Fast Boot now, Thanks Nathan.7118391
I have reached a point where my phone has the the LG logo in black and white backwards, and it says fastboot v0.2 backwards... but the post doesn't say anything about how to flash the rom aferwards. and does it need to be an official kdz or can it be aokp?
I get as far as...
sending image to target...
size = 246272
usb_write 4
usb_write 246272
** Done **
< waiting for device >
then my phone re-enters the bootloop
I'm sorry to keep asking questions but every time I make progress there is always some problem and every forum just leads me to another forum.. I've already achieved fast boot on my phone, "I think" but I'm extremely confused as to how to flash the kdz. Any detailed explanation would be deeply appreciated. This probably seems really easy for you but am at wits ends. Thanks however for guiding me so far
I think I should add that I'm newish to XDA and this is my first post
Alright, I'm send you to some more threads, but this will get everything working lol
Use lelus modified batch script for l9

His has an easy option to flash (with fastboot), the ice cream x & u for your device.
You need to do this to get the offline flash working.
Once you flash the x & u run the offline flash. Look at carloswii5 video to see how it is done.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41388372
Note, you are not doing the other stuff in the vid, just learn how to install and use the offline flash. plus checkout this thread for more info

Good luck.

Ok I'm assuming you are having trouble with the omap4boot commands. As the instructions say take out your battery from your phone and disconnect from computer. Run the program from your computer to get to the menu then select #3 for Prada and once you press enter put the usb cord into the phone then wait about 5 seconds then place your battery in. Should be smooth sailing after that. Once it asks you do you want fastboot just say no, and no to loading u-boot. Just disconnect your phone and you are done with this part. .Let me know when you are finished with this.
You can't flash a custom ROM in fastboot so you will have to load a stock kdz file but that's later. .
I finished that, I got all the way to the end where it says
--------------------------------------------
------------------------------
Please remove USB cable
and wait until LG Logo on
then reconnent USB cable again
------------------------------
fastboot devices (y/N) ? and press <ENTER> n
ls: resigned/p940-MLO*.bin: No such file or directory
Do you want to replace u-boot (y/N) ?n
ls: cwm/p940-*.img: No such file or directory
Press any key to continue . . .
I assume that is all I have to do here so should I just follow the New Lelus method now?

No Lelus method yet. You can do as Kuma has said above or what I did. Either way we are both trying to help you. Now that you got that done and congrats on that! Follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44325657&postcount=4&nocache=1&z=6862240654882044 which will help you with getting u-boot and x-loader on your phone. Skip getting the drivers because you already did that. But you will do the same thing that you did with the earlier program just now you are installing the x-loader and u-boot for your phone so your computer can "see" it. Once you've done that then you can flash with the Lelus method. But be sure to get it done right and practice if you need to.

OK thanks for clearing my confusion on the Lelus method... but I have tried both Omap... and Fastboot, my problem with fastboot is that it get to step 3 of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44325657&postcount=4&nocache=1&z=6862240654882044
My phone screen is inverted and it says fastboot, but my computer never says press any button, just stops at <waiting for device>
about 1 minute after this appears, my phone just reboots into the loop. and I've seen other people post the entire script so I know my phone, or computer is stopping right before the x-loader and u-booter, for whatever reason.

Ah, ok, ok, ok. . .Try this: bring the program up with the choices then press #5 but don't hit enter just yet. Now take your battery out and put the usb into the computer but don't connect it to your phone. Hold the cable next the plug in and hit enter. . .then it will say something like requesting omap4boot that's when you place the cable into your phone then it will go through some stuff pretty fast don't pay any attention just count in your head to 4 or 5 seconds then put your battery and wait 'till the fastboot comes up. . .that's it. once that happens your phone is u-boot and x-load ready.
After that this point sucked for me. You have to take out the battery and unplug your phone from your computer at the same time then wait 2 seconds and put your battery back in then immediately afterward hold the volume up button while inserting your cable back into the computer. . .wait for S/W upgrade mode. THEN YOU DO THE LELUS METHOD!!!

OK, I will start off by saying I have (nearly) completely screwed myself.
I have a P769 (TMO; does this mean BK?).
I followed this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38677123http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38677123) to root the device and successfully made it through (using V20D KDZ).
Then then tried to flash this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335984). Unforunately, I did not have an unlocked bootloader and now I am receiving a Security Error at boot. Even more unfortunate is that I did NOT do a backup so I am truly in a bad place now.
I tried to run through the first step of rooting but the software will not detect the phone as being connected and tells me to connect the USB cable. I have installed the drivers that are in that post but admittedly I may have updated them after rooting.
At this point I only have access to fastboot so I am trying that method but I cannot find any system.img files to be able to flash the system partition.
What do I do now? Can anyone help me? I have exhausted every Google search and XDA search. I may be missing something but I feel I am in a very bad place now and need to get this phone back up and running.

Is it possible to create a custom update.zip to flash with?
When I do the recovery it returns my phone as a P769BKGO if that helps with anything.

I did do the fastboot then tried the recovery phone option from the support tool.
I did find a recovery I made that included (for some reason) only the recovery and boot.

I'll reboot and then try that again. I'll check back afterwards.
Should I do anything extra like start the offline flash from scratch as far as drivers? I'm not even sure where to begin in regards to what drivers/files to remove.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Now I just need to figure out the screen calibration.
Also, what can I do with this now? Do I need to unlock the bootloader to load custom ROMs without getting a security error?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge. My last phone was a Bionic and that was the easiest phone to root and add a ROM to.
unfortunately i find myself in this situation
gettin security error after what i assume was me trying to flash on a locked bootloader
anyway, i can't figure this out, the whole flashing fastboot and what not
i read through the readme and installed the drivers for the "other/unknown" device that pops up
this is what i try to do next
open up start.bat
enter 5 and hit enter
remove battery from phone (as instructed) and hit any key
boot phone into sw upgrade (holding vol up and plugging in usb cable)
device seems to be picked up and i see the "wait 5 seconds" (german?) and the image is revered horizontally on my phone
now after 4/5 seconds it says "waiting for device", which then i put the battery in
but NOTHING happens after this, it hangs at "waiting for device"
can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong?
otherwise i think i'm left with a totally effed lg optimus l9

Odds are, you are doing nothing wrong. Check your android version, if you are on 4.2+ (JellyBean) you can't unlock your bootloader quite yet. Here is the thread you should keep track of at the moment http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277639&page=152

Nope! I had to do a warranty exchange. I was copying the system image then I thought it finished so I unplugged the phone. May I tried my best to get the phone back but I could only get into fastboot mode, but hey lesson learned. Though I did see this tool that someone here was trying to use to flash bin and fls files in 3 minutes! But it only works for p790 Optimus black. Which sucks because I could get my phone into an inverted S/W upgrade mode (yeah I know it's on the real one) but it only lasted for about 3 minutes then shut down so doing the offline fix just took too long. I would get to about 23% install and the phone would just turn off. . so close! LOL
EDIT: YEAH got the phone to finally work! No exchange now, take that LG! Just kept trying there offline fix

I'm trying to restore my P769 to stock (Stuck LG logo), and getting nowhere.
How did you get the flash to work? What error did you get when the phone would turn off? How did you get the inverted S/W mode?
My phone only got to 17-20% before getting an connection error using the offline booth method, this was with both JB and ICS u-boot/boot/recovery .imgs from the P769 ROMs--should I try the steps in unlocking the bootloader to at least get to a bootable state?

How did you solve this? I am at the same steps, I get into mirrored software mode and then I attempt the offline fix. I have even started the offline fix early to save time. And yet it will only stay on for 2 and a half minutes or so and then shuts off. The farthest i have been able to get it to go is 41%. I have tried fastboot mode to try and send boot.img and it just says that it cannot find the boot partition. So it looks like my only option is the offline fix but it doesn't have enough time to complete. I have tried about 20 or so times how many tries did it take for you? Did you do anything special to get it to finish? any advice on how to get it to finish? Spent about 6 hrs last night trying to get this phone back up and running and this is where i am stuck. Its lame cuz i woke up to the phone like this it was fine when i went to bed. And was for months.
Hello, Guys. So I did a stupid thing today - I was poking around in the build.prop in my v20d P769. I changed the value of a line concerning the battery, something like "battery_genuine" - My thought was that it was going to enable some sort of alternate battery notification or icon or whatever, I'm not sure what I was thinking.
Anyway, long story short, I rebooted after editing build.prop and now when the phone turns on it just says "use genuine battery - powering off" and shuts off. I had previously uninstalled CWM (getting ready to manually apply v20f) so I can't get to recovery to mount /system. I have been trying all day to get the offline flash method to work and the damn thing won't work half the time. I went through the thread instructions to install small server and edit hosts file - then reboot - when the loopback ip's are in the hosts file the test link on the thread (127.0.0.1:9002) doesn't work and neither LG application will work. If I comment out the loopback lines and restart both of them will open but neither of them will do anything useful. LG Updater tool just says I have the latest software and the UptestEX_mod2_marwin application won't flash anything.
Hoping someone can help me out here so I can recover this phone.
boot the phone in fastboot mode, don't know how to do that with your model though
use fastboot to boot into any custom recovery by typing 'path_to_adb_toolkit_files\fastboot.exe boot your_recovery_image.img'
if fastboot hangs on <waiting for device> install usb drivers
then pull off build.prop, change that field to original value and push it back into the phone
sorry mate, can't explain more detailed
Either flash ICS uboot and xloader in fastboot mode and unbrick it after, or if you can access adb, try sometjing like the following:
cd to your adb directory on your PC
adb pull /system/build.prop (in a command prompt on your PC)
Modify the file (it will be in the adb folder)
adb push pathto/thefile/build.prop > /system/build.prop (again in the cmd)
Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply man - yeah I can't get to adb, that was my first though so i'm going to try fastboot, only problem is, I don't know how to boot fastboot. Is s/w upgrade mode the fastboot screen (volume up + plug in cable)?
Also, would anyone mind explaining why the small server only outputs "file not found" when attempting to start up the flash tool? The only way I can get the flash tool to even launch is to comment out the loopback lines in hosts. lol man it's times like this when I miss motorola!
*Edit - In case anyone wants to help on this front, here is the output I receive from small server when trying to open B2CappClient or UpTest or even hit the test link in the offline flash thread:

I recommended removing all lg drivers and etc. Redownload all files, disable firewall and antivirus. But first you need to install fastboot and flash the u-boot for ice cream.
Inside the fastboot zip by lelus is more instructions on how to set it up. And checkout the original thread about fastbooting the l9
And you might want to try on another PC,
You need a good and clean windows environment for all to work well. This is the problem with many people. Plus a lot of antivirus programs don't like the small server.

well, if you boot into a screen that is neither android nor recovery, it should be fastboot at least this applies to my phone
since the combination is one button + plug in cable i guess it's the right one
does it say fastboot mode in the top of the screen?

Well I managed to get to fastboot with the p940 script. The screen that comes up with "S/W Upgrade Please wait while upgrading...". this may be some sort of fastboot derivative but there's no response to "fastboot devices" at the prompt. Can I flash cwm through fastboot if my bootloader is locked? I had it installed with the bootstrap method.

Fastboot is an inverted lg logo.
This will offer some more help,

Hey don't flash ice cream and ect.
All you have to do is flash (in fastboot) the boot.IMG for the kdz you are on, and you're good to go.
Extract the boot.img from the kdz
Look at my guide. Or just wait until later tonight for me to upload it.
To tell you the truth, Lol, I did the same thing you did with the battery. I was fast enough to edit it before it shutoff. I had toolbox lite app installed.
CM 10.1 P769
Finally got it! Turns out, the default path for small server is c:\shttps\www - the problem I gave myself is that when I didn't extract to the c root, I copied from my L9 directory - when I copied none of the contents of \www copied with it, once I moved those files to the correct position it all went through as it should!
Thanks for your help guys!!

hahaha I saw this about 10 mins after I got it to boot! lol - oh well, I'm running 20f now, getting ready to root and see about unlocking the bootloader. Now that the flash tool is working correctly, the only thing I have to do is get a feel for the mirrored, wonky screen. I've been researching the bootloader method but could never get that flash tool to work correctly. I'm in the game now! WOOT!
Thanks for all your help man!

I recommended flashing 20d then 20b.

I didn't have a hard time, but then again I've studied my a** off, and I knew how to fix all problems that popped up. My advice to you is read all the threads about unlocking the bootloader. The video is good but it doesn't break it down enough.
Let me tell you about everything that can go wrong and how to fix it
Problems
1. After flashing the euro kdz your phone won't boot past the logo.
Okay, this problem will make things harder(but do able), because you have to hard reset the device by pressing/holding the vol (-) + home + power (let go of power button when the lg logo comes up)
Plus after a hard reset all data will be wiped and you will have to enable USB debugging on the wonky touch screen.
The chance of this happening is rare because you are not coming from a custom ROM.
2. After flashing you get a security error (or an error during the flashing process).
Now this one sucks because you will need to fastboot and flash the ice cream u-boot. Then put the phone in the s/w upgrade mode and perform the offline flash again.
I had this happen to me once, while flashing the wind kdz. Messing with fastboot is not hard but it takes time to understand it. Get familiar with it first before trying to unlock. I'll send you a link with some more info.
3.After flashing the euro kdz you find out you don't have root.
Sometimes rooting fails (dam computers)
Now I had this happen to me after flashing euro kdz (so no cwm) but I wasn't really worried about that because I had a signal and I could make/receive calls. I had a signal because when I was flashing I swapped out the euro radio (p760.fls) with the metropcs one (lgms769.fls)
Note: you have to extract the radio from the metro kdz and rename it to p760.fls
When flashing replace the 11th bin (with hex edited 11th bin for 20b) & the radio (from metro renamed).
Another thing don't rush the unlock. I waited about 3 to 4 hours before trying, plus I took a couple of calls on the 20b kdz. And I was on wifi.
I flashed the euro kdz at work and when I got home I turned on WiFi and waited another hour.
I'm not to sure about what the video says about turning off and flashing the radio.
When the unlock first came out, the instructions were to not turn off the device before unlocking.
When I flashed the euro kdz I was on the metropcs ROM.
This is what I recommend and did.
Enable USB debugging, show all touches, & allow install from unknown sources.
Leave your phone on normally(don't put it in s/w mode) and flash the euro kdz and hopefully no problems.
After waiting a couple of hours try the unlock command with Adb on your PC.
If all goes good the phone will take you to an inverted unlock screen, just press the volume up (make sure you press the Up button!)
This will take you to the official fastboot (but it's inverted), now in fastboot flash the cwm recovery image.
In cwm flash the touch screen fix and restore a backup.
Another thing make your own backup with the locked bl cwm (just in case you have to erase all data) make backup on external SD. Another thing, Lol ,make sure the backup is good, try to restore it. I have had several corrupted backups with cwm.
I know it's a lot to learn, but then again you want to be prepared.
Think of it like a final exam, Lol and you won't go wrong.
If you get lost just holla at me.

When i push it, sometimes reboot with lg logo sometimg shutdown and if i want to power on again i have to hold power button 10 sec and press it again

i am not so newbie mate, i learn a loto of things in this forum....
Follow this thread (link below) to get fastboot working. Then you can get to the next step. I just posted some instructions from that thread below for FYI.
Batch file command is "start_fastboot.bat" not "start-fastboot.bat"
Also,'when the tool says "Wait 5 seconds" don't wait but put the battery in immediately.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119090
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you need:
omap4boot, get it from original thread.
Extract omap4boot archive somewhere like C:\omap4boot (I will use this path in the tutorial).
Power off your phone and remove the battery.
Connect your phone (still without the battery) to the PC.
You will hear the sound of a new driver, then the sound of a driver when it disconnects continiusly.
Start -> Right click on "Computer" -> "Manage".
On the left column, click on "Device manager".
You will see a device that appear and disappear under "Other/Unknown Devices".
You must right click on the unknown device before it disappear, once clicked select "Driver Update".
Click on the second button (manually install driver) and insert the "usb_drv_windows" path (C:\omap4boot\usb_drv_windows) and install the driver.
Disconnect the phone from the PC and power it off.
Open a command prompt (Win+R, type cmd and press Enter).
Type the following command in the command prompt:
Code:
cd C:\omap4boot
start-fastboot.bat
Now input 3 (Prada 3.0 P940) and press enter.
Plug the phone without battery to the PC, when the tool says "Wait 5 seconds" put the battery in your phone.
(The first time that you do this, you have to install the drivers again. Repeat step 9)
At the other prompts answer always "N", this could be important.
Now you can use fastboot on L9 Next times you can start from step 12.

And I guess you already have LG driver installed.

If your model p760 you should see a fastboot screen (everything black with dome letters on top). But you can confirm if you are in fastboot mode when you run the start fastboot.bat, open a cmd in the folder that contains fastboot, adb, etc and type fastboot devices
You should see a coupçe of numbers and letters, like in adb devices
If dont appear nothing, your phone doesnt entered in fastboot. Then try flashing ics xloader and uboot and try fastboot again. If your device is seen, you should be able to unlock the bootloader following the tutorial in general thread, always remembering waiting 30 min or more to try
Here you will find v20b europe open:

No, im sorry, didnt explained to much. Follow that to flash xloader and uboot and then install V20B europe open with the tutorial i said to you. After that, hard reset the phone (turn it off, turn it on and let pressed vol down and home button). After hard reset the phone will restart. Let phone connected to wifi and make sure your sim card is inserted and you have the network signal, enable usb debugging and connect your phone to pc via usb cable in lg software mode. Then wait 30 minutes (best is to wait at least 1 hour). Open a cmd where adb is (if you downloaded fastboot.zip from the link i gave you, its inside the fastboot/bin folder you extracted) and type the following command:
adb reboot oem-unlock
Your phone should restart and show you a black screen asking if you do want to unlock the bootloader. Press vol up to unlock the bootloader. And thats it, hope it work for you

Your phone should restart and show you a black screen asking if you do want to unlock the bootloader. Press vol up to unlock the bootloader. And thats it, hope it work for you

Soory i just saw this message mate. Ok i will do exactly that (according my english your messages sounds more familiar to me)
i will choose order "6" in fastboot that says "x & U for p760 jb (not "2" for ics)
Ok i did this guide
BL is still locked but when i run command adb reboot oem-unlock i saw somethignthat i never saw before
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
but the phone shuted down...no restart and to power on again i kept 10 sec power buton and after it powered on.
Question, when i run oem-unlock the fastboot goes immmediatelly or after some time?
I have a blind N10 on bootloader that is it doesnt show anything on fastboot mode but it does go there. I researched and found other people with similar problem http://rootzwiki.com/topic/37629-bootloader-fastboot-weirdness/ . However they managed to unlock the device by clicking the vol+ once and then power key as I also saw on youtube videos. IT WORKED. and then it went downhill. it got stuck on bootloop. SO i tried to go into fastboot again and it went and then pressed vol+ twice to go into recovery and there was a android with "!" red sign on middle.
and of course it won't boot. So I tried to use the Wugs toolkit, put it on back to stock with bootloop option. and it started to do its work, but got stuck at the sending bootloader (1280KB) sign for more than 10-15 mins. I pressed the power button and it failed that step saying too many links and wugs kit continued the process got stuck again and then completed and my device still goes to fastboot, but cant go into recovery anymore I think as it shows blank screen. Please mind that I am still blind on the screen and nothing comes. my only way of knowing it goes to fastboot is through cmd line. PLEASE HELP, dont wanna brick this.
Is there any way to ODIN it. I cant find online any ODIN insturctions? help help
I cant even turn it off now! Its always going to fastboot. Please help

I think that's a good thing, if you can get to Fastboot then I would say to forget about the toolkits and just download the latest Google MantaRay image from here https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/mantaray-jwr66y-factory-3d8252dd.tgz
Make sure your Android SDK is updated, unzip the downloaded file once and copy the contents to your Fastboot folder, shift/right click inside your fastboot folder and select "open command window here" then type "fastboot devices" and make sure your device id is shown, after that just type in your cmd window "flash-all.bat" and let it do its magic. If everything goes well by the time it completes you will have a factory restored Nexus10 and then you can start the hacking all over again.
Good Luck! and remember when in doubt, just ask.

Hi ricco333
thanks for the reply. I have updated the SDK and tried to run the command as you mentioned. However it is the same thing. Its getting stuck at sending bootloader. I am attaching a screenshot here. it stays there until i press ctrl+c. then it tries to continue and gets stuck again at sending boot. which is the second screenshot.
Is there any other way to restore factory image. i thought samsung devices had ODIN system. Thanks again for the reply.
Try connecting the Nexus to a different USB port, also try another USB cable, as a last resort I will go as far as using a different PC, based on your screenshots it is being recognized but my guess is that it is having a problem writing the new partitions.
Erik
Also try re downloading the stock images...
Maybe you have a corrupted file.
Have you tried using the Nexus 10 Toolkit?

IT WORKED!!

How to fix partion problem !!!
After countlss hours of messing with the LG P769 This is how i got into S/W mode to work !
ASSUMING you know how to install fastboot drivers there are instructions on the forum ...so follow those guide note fastboot drivers work best on windows 7 windows 8 was giving me hard time ...
1.install fastboot drivers
2.run lelus script at the same time hold vol+ button once the script shows the OMAP device close the script and immediately put the battery back in .The LG phone will boot into S/W mode !
Make sure you write down your imei or serial number AND make sure battery is fully charged . then
Now simply use the LG software tool or the KDZ offline flasher look around the forum for how to guides
Thats it

Then try enter in lelus fastboot mode, ad then flash x-loader, uloader, boot.img and recovery.img from stock rom for your device type model. Then repeat steps 1 and 2
Where can I find the lelus script?

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but oh well...
Your procedure doesn't seem to work with my device. Just to make sure we are using the same driver packages, can you post a link to the fastboot driver you have successfully used?
My L9 is always showing this "partition doesn't exist" error message, no matter what I try. Lelus's script seems to do the job and the phone is detected as a fastboot device, and can even be detected in LG Flash Tool (using a 910K cable), but flashing will stop after a little over 2 minutes, because the phone disconnects. During all of my attempts, the screen stays black.
Any hint?

Then you need a Technician with a Octopus Box to repair your partition table...

Can you boot into recovery? We now have a custom recovery for locked bootloaders (and CM roms). If you can get into recovery, I would try some adb commands to mount the partitions.
No, no recovery. Just to make sure that I'm not doing it wrong, what is the key combination to boot to recovery?
I have also tried:
Code:
fastboot boot some_recovery_image.img
It says ok, but the phone just hangs at the black screen and becomes undetectable as a fastboot device, until I pull the battery. So, unless the some_recovery_image.img is unsuitable for my P760 (which may be!), there is something seriously wrong I think.
Or maybe I can try the same command with the custom recovery for bootloader locked phones... Where can I find it?

Your EMMC partition is wiped or fried... you really need a JTAG service or a Box like octopus because your L9 is Hard-bricked...
Thanks for your opinion. Yet, I still want to hear from others.
I'm running into more and more problems with the L9 as their me grows.
-Fastboot doesn't work under Windows 8.1 and 10, but under the now obsolete(for me) Windows 7, unlike my other devices, which are fine with Win 10.
-ADB seems to work, but requiring the device to be still able to boot.
-I always boot to recovery from within Android as long as the L9 ain't bricked. After a failed rom install, during which the sd card failed(could no longer write or be formatted afterwards, the last time stamps of files and folders were set during the failed install) I discovered a problem with TWRP(Artas182x's and Edwin's), which may have been present since a long time: Trying to invoke TWRP via keypress will brick the device!
So, if my P760 no longer boots, there's only download mode available, sort of the final line of defense.
-There's sort of a trick if even download mode fails: After a failed attempt unplug phone, force switch-off, if the phone is in brick state. Then switch on, force switch-off again, and only then attempt download mode again. And have patience while holding down the vol button, it might take up to 20 seconds for the phone to switch itself on into download mode. (A single forced powerdown will cause Fastboot NOT to work the next time)
But I'm absolutely clueless about the recovery issue, for now TWRP is semi-working, can only be accessed via Android, as long as the phone is fully working.
W/o Fastboot, I now have flashed stock rom several times and rooted it with Kingo rooter just to be able to run Flashify to install TWRP. If Flashify is the culprit for the TWRP issues, I could need a recommendation for a better working app.

Tried OMAP flasher ? It needs memory configuration file in order to work with our device
No, I didn't. I have sold the phone for spares.
Inviato dal mio LG-D855 utilizzando Tapatalk
I never needed the OMAP drivers and tools. As they are ancient, they will probably make even more problems with newer Windows versions.
I could by no means invoke Fastboot on this device with Windows 8.1 and 10, Seven worked. So you had to go for Download Mode instead to recover to stock rom, then root with the Kingo tool, then install TWRP via Rashr or Flashify, the most time consuming way to recover from the frequent bricks.
And the LG Flash Tool 2014 always needed several attempts to get the job done. The latest official recovery tool from LG works in D/L Mode, but will always download the rom image anew.
