thanks for reply,
I used this info.update.sony.net/ST003/nbx03_010/contents/0008/signed-nbx03_010-ota-121116072.zip. I flashed with recovery install this update via sd card but it tells me update failed error code 7

Did you try with or without condi? To flash pure stock the way sony intended it you should do it without condis tool.

Sony Tablet S doesn't boot up

I have an original Sony tablet S, which I had OTA upgraded to 3.2. It froze on me one day, and I then pressed the soft reset button. It normally comes back up after that, but this time, it just went to be initial boot screen of wavy lines and stayed there forever.
I tried
- hard reset with vol+ and power key and erase all data ... It still didn't work
- installed adb and PC recognized the device, but says"device could not be started" error code 10... Hence I couldn't proceed any further
I did not backup or have a firmware in a SD card.
Is there any way, I could reflash my device with a working firmware so that it will boot up?
PS. Before my Sony died, I had not set the settings to "USB debugging mode" and now I can't

Simple fix my man.
Which region are you???
This will involve upgrading probably to ICS, so you won't be able to root for now but hey you tab will be working.
Follow the istructions from my FAQ in my signature.
You want to enter recovery and flash your regions zip file.

Dear Stifilz
I am in the US and more or less a noob. I downloaded the region file (signed-nbx03-001....zip) from your post.
When I try to open it in the PC, it says its an "invalid zip file".
Should I still load it into SD and flash it from there? Also, when it asks for the file in the RESET screen in Sony, do I provide the zip file or the contents?
Cheers!

Depends if you had back up enabled. But should do. If not it should restore data as you install the apps.
P.s i suggest if you ever want root do it now. Plu you can preroot ics etc

[Q] accident installing ROM

hi guys, i have came here to ask for some professional advice since i am completely stuck.
i am new to android and custom ROMS. I did my research into how to install custom ROMS to my android though made a mistake.
I basically wiped my phone from the:
"ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS:
no
no
no
no
yes
no
no"
.... its now stuck on either stock recovery mode or on the screen where it shows the colorful S and the words Samsung GALAXY S II screen.
What i did
I installed clockworkMod to my android since i wanted to directly install the cyanogenMod from the clockwordMod app. i watched some you tube tutorials and did some research on how to. I followed the steps up until it was time to install the CyMod. i cant access my phone anymore to be exact but an error message along the lines of:
E: cannot install this ROM
E: another failed install message
installation canceled.
(sorry it vague, i struggle to remember the exact messsages)
So i tryed it again and the same error messages came up. previous to this stage i had taken all the backup recommendations though due to a ...Mistake i wiped everything off the phone from the example above thinking it was a step before installing the new ROM. and now im here...
I assume this is a very noob thing to do but...well everyones got to start somewhere.
my phone does not get recognized by my computer so cant transfer files into it and reboot like that so i have no idea how to get it back?
any advice or help would be great.
thanks.
**EDIT**
i am also able to access Download mode (if this helps for a solution)

im not too sure how i would do this.
i can enter recovery mode and the options i have are :
reboot system now
apply from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
so i chose apply from sd card and the list is:
../
update.zip
update1.zip
.adc/
.adobe
ETC
but there is no 'clockworkMod' backup folder or anything which i would assume the backup is stored!!
the update.zip and update1.zip is the CyMod that didnt work (failed to verify whole-file signiture)
?
you are on stock recovery try wipe data n cache. if after reboot same problem,go in download mode n flash stock rom via odin n thn proceed as directed in Cyanogenmod threads... dont try to flash via CWM app it causes such issues...

so farfrom the first link you posted - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693)
Power your device off
Boot into Download-Mode using Volume Down + Home + Power
Hit Volume Up to accept the warning
Start Odin
Choose "GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar" as PDA (no repartition)
so i clicked:
Downloads
ICS - 5.5.0.4: Download <=
and it opens in winrar with zImage thats all. no .tar file to use with odin.
will one of these files be ok?

[Q] Stuck on boot logo - GALAXY Pocket Neo GT-S5310 - Can't access recovery mode

Hi
I have a Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo GT-S5310...
The sad thing is that, a while ago it stopped working and now it's stuck on the boot screen (Samsung GALAXY POCKET Neo GT-S5310)
I have tried to perform a factory reset through the built-in recovery mode (volume up + home + power), but unfortunately, I couldn't access the recovery mode and the phone goes directly to the boot screen.
And since the only thing I could do was accessing the Download Mode, so I tried to recover it by installing an official firmware with Odin3_v3.07... but it didn't solve the problem...
So what would you guys suggest?
can't delete this reply... could an admin please do it?

Cant boot to recovery
Hi sorry for the thread revival but I have run out of ideas. Same problem as OP. Odin flash is successful but stuck on samsung logo when trying to boot to recovery.

When you use Odin to flash, when it has finished, it always boot to recovery, there you have to wipe data and cache, then it works properly!

After flashing recovery with odin I am still stuck at the S5310 Neo splash screen unable to boot into recovery. Has this maybe got something to do with a conflict between android versions? As the S3510i comes with 4.4.2 stock, not 4.1.2.

How did you root please?
I have been looking for a stock ROM for Lenovo Tab 2 A10 30 as well, but to no avail. I have run into issue when the tablet freezes in
' Checking Connection' screen after factory reset (Lollipop 5.1.1). In my mind re-installing ROM could fix this issue.
The version I am looking for is : TB2-X30F_S000015_160115_ROW
Does anyone know where to find this ROM?
Alternatively does anyone know how to get pas the dreaded 'Checking Connection' screen?
Thanks!
Finally i was able to port TWRP fom another device ! Huawei Y6 SCL !

I successfully updated my Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30 F to android 6.0.1 using this guide :
http://lenovo-forums.ru/forum/574-lenovo-tab-2-a10-30-achilles/
There is a list of roms for A10-30, A 10-30F and A10-30L tablet variants.
Had no issue at all.
Copy rom to external micro sd card, reboot in recovery mode, flash and wait about 5 minutes.

Hi Bora
Can you please tell me if you were rooted before you did this.
I guess this is the rom you used
Google translate isn't the best with Russian and I don't want to brick.
I have a rooted A10-30f but after reading the the post I am not sure if I can do the "ota sd card method" or if i need to use the "Qualcomm QFIL method".
Thanks
No I did not rooted tab before I flashed.
Did exactly what they wrote.
My tab are working like a charm, no even one bug or random reboot.
Has anyone successfully rooted this device on marshmallow? I done it with kingroot, but every time I restart the device it loses root.
???

Can you give a step by step explanation of what they wrote? I'm not too keen to rely on Google's translations

First I rooted tab , using NewKingrootV4.9.7_C152_B335_xda_2016_10_18_105243 via recovery ( pwr+home+volume up).
then :
Downloaded the .zip file
Placed the .zip file on the internal SD card and followed Blaikey's instructions:
1. Power off the tablet
2. Hold Power and volume up buttons together until tablet starts booting
3. Release the power button but keep holding the volume up button
4. Once recovery has loaded select 'apply update from external sdcard' or 'apply update from internal sdcard'
5. On the next screen Choose your update zip file
6. Confirm update and wait for the update to install, tablet will reboot when finished
After that the tablet would not startup. I rebooted again in this mode and then chose "wipe data/factory reset".
Then it came back OK, with Androïd 6.0.1
This rom is not for A10-30L?

I tried using NewKingrootV4.9.7_C152_B335_xda_2016_10_18_105243 to root - no luck.
Any other ways to root?
Update- sorted it out. Booted into TWRP using this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-lenovo-tab-a10-30f-l-twrp-3-0-t3442588
From there, I flashed the latest supersu. Works flawlessly

Did you get this working on A10-30L (not A10-30F)? I have A10-30L and the ROM available from lenovo-forums.ru for the L variant seems to be corrupt. The "F" ROM looks OK but of course my system refuses to install it as it's for a different hardware version. When I open each archive the file structure inside is different--it seems the L archive is missing some files.
Thanks.
