[Q] Wont boot after restore

Hello guys,
I'd just wanted to load a custom rom om my girlfriends hero, but she did not liked it, and not all the contacts where in it. So i tried to restore it. First wiped all the things, and then did restore. After the restore i see HERO on screen but it won't go any further. What to do now? Is it something with Salsasense kernels verion and the old one? read something bout that.
Rom: Salsasense.
Old rom: android 2.1 update 1.
Edit: Can't read the sd card on my comp anymore when im in SalsaSense on my computer. Tried the card in my own phone (x10i) and not even working in there. So cant reach the backup now :x
Somebody pls help. TY in advance

Can someone pls help?

Ill try to help. This side of the forum is too quiet. No one seems to have any clues on how to help. What did you wipe specifically? I once wiped the battery info on the recovery and ended up doing just that.
If not, then sometimes when you wipe other things besides the factory reset it ruins the rom. So its good to try and flash it again.
Well i wiped all the stuff that where in the manual, so i first wiped data/factory reset, second i wiped cache and as last the dalvik cache. Like it should. I tried couple times to flash it again. no use. Tried Cynagen mod 7 few days ago. Could not flash that either ( see last post )
At least thnks for you post.
Problem still not fixed
Kick!
Hmmm which recovery r u u using?
First try a full wipe then choose the downloaded rom from ur SD card, check that it is properly downloaded...flash then reboot, just incase its a recovery error download cwm or amon ra n keep it on SD card n flash it...

Further to this, is the MD5 checksum matching the original?
Edit: Could it be possible that your computer deleted the .zip extension from the file when you downloaded it? (I'm reaching here)
Have you tried running the official RUU (to install the official ROM) and once that is done re-root the phone?

[Q] Can't boot my phone and can't boot into recovery!

Been happily using Incredibly re-engineered Incredible for a while. Now, I'm in a situation where my phone reboots over and over.
Okay, no problem. I'll just boot into CWM and restore from a Nandroid backup. Sure, it's over a month old, but I've been using Titanium backup...
Uh, I CAN'T boot into CWM. Apparently, there is some issue w/ CMW 5.0.2.0 where I have to make some room in an preinstallation folder!
Can anyone help me? How can I get CWM to boot? Can I revert back to an older version of CWM when I can't start the phone? All of the ways of flashing a new recovery that I've found so far needs the phone to be booable already!!!
Help!
If its the same issue I had today than just take battery out put it back in and than hold down volume and power, should boot up into HBoot than go to recovery and hopefully you made a back up of your original ROM of your phone and I hope this helps cuz I'm a noob whom it happened to earlier today so thats what I did
thanks for the answer, but...
hey thanks for answering my post. However, if you read my original post, you'll see that I CAN'T boot into recovery (CWM) because of the issue documented at http://rootzwiki.com/archive/index.php/t-4873.html? for CWM 5.0.2.0. The way they say to fix the issue works IF you can boot into your phone to get access to the file system. Alas, I don't... Sigh... So, no recovery, no phone.
Anyone? anyone?
which is your phone model?
that would be helpful, eh?
Sorry left that information out! I have the Droid (HTC) Incredible...

CleanRom Pro Edition

I tried posting this in the actual thread but It said I had to come here for help...
I flashed this ROM and went through with updating the Boot.img all fine, however every time I boot into the Bootloader, it attempts to "update" the boot.img.
After Installing this rom I tried to install a sense 4.0 one, and I couldn't get back to the recovery because the bootloader wouldn't let me do anything but update the boot.img.
Any idea why it tries to update everytime?
Delete the PH98IMG.zip file from your SD Card.....
I was able to boot into AmonRa however my phone gets a black screen after the HTC splash screen.

That wasn't your original problem, what else have you done to the phone...
I'd suggest booting in Recovery, mount USB, remove the PH98IMG.zip from the root of SD, wipe and start over.
When you're all done, you'll have a new PH98IMG.zip on the root of SD, delete it.

Hey thanks for the help...
I removed the zip like you said, then I flashed CleanRom again, because my earlier Nandroid wasn't working. I'm booting into CleanRom now. I'll let ya know if its working...
Thanks a ton for the help! Got it booted and everything seems to be working alright...
I came from a DX, so rooting, flashing, etc was much much easier. I thought I read through the directions for rooting/flashing the rezound but I guess I'll have to reread.
Again, thanks for your help.
No problem.

HTC One X+ recovery and rom!

Hello everyone
Firstly I am sorry if the question is repeated or way too obvious.
I did read all posts i could but they couldn't help...
So , here's my problem:
I accidentally removed my ROM, i guess cause my phone is stuck at HTC logo.
I tried to use an RUU executable file but no help...
Then tried Hasoon2000s toolkit but it couldnt flash the ROM.
I have a CWM based recovery and my backup files on my PC ready.
All help appreciated !
p.s: its an international 64GB model and haven't even worked a month!

Wrong section for this question but I'll answer anyways. I'm assuming the RUU is a .exe file? If so you do not put it on your SD card, you simply plug your phone into your computer and run the RUU. Now if you're trying to load a custom ROM you simply put the ROM on your SD card, boot into TWRP, wipe all data except for SD card, go to install find the ROM .zip file and flash it.
Thanks for getting back to me @CavyS its a zip file I downloaded it from HTC website and when I plug my phone in the computer nothing happens it can't detect the device my apologies for posting in the wrong section but if you can give me step by step to help with this situation I will appreciate it to kind of explain it to me who don't really have any type of root experience

Reboot to bootloader by powering off and then holding power+volume down. Select "Fastboot" by the volume and power buttons. Your phone should be detected then. Here is the download link to the RUU that is a .exe. After your phones detected just run it and it will take care of everything else. Make sure you have the proper drivers installed for your phone also if its still not detected. http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_M8_[email protected]41216A_40.34.C35006.02_F_release_407726_signed_2.exe

You don't have knowledge of modding the phone, and tried modding it. Modding the phone isn't something you should be attempting without the proper time and effort to research, learn the processes, and understand before doing anything. You're down the rabbit hole now, so time to roll up the sleeves and start learning.
You have a couple options:
1) RUU as suggested. Make sure you have HTC drivers installed on your PC (easiest way is to install HTC Sync).
2) Get a flashable ROM (such as custom ROM) on the phone (either adb push or transfer to an SD card with a card reader) than boot into TWRP and flash the ROM.
