So i bought this cell..i already was kind of disappointed..now i really hate it..
It gives me problem with the router..like reset it...or make the wifi get stucked...
It's ok as long as anything connect to the wifi uses internet...but whenever i need to use the lan,,,after a while the router shuts everything out...
There is any solutions...other than change router (i tried every possible configuration, even with no protection at all, fixed ips, only g..)
I don't know what else to try...
I never thought a cell could ever mess up with the router...

Well, an android phone can't mess up a router so the problem is the router itself. So changing the router is the only solution

Well, since that router worked perfectly until now guess the problem isn't only the router... My desire works, without making me have any problem wiith the lan..

I don't think any phone can mess up the router. It has to be the problem with your router.

He can't, stop blaiming the phone. Maybe your router needs an update or you need a better one.

Ok..i just googled android crashes router...and found so many with same problem...
If i turn on the wifi on the cell router gives problems, when i turn it off all is great as usual...
With desire bravo no problem...movie station, nokia cell, repeater, decoder, omnia, psp, tablet...not a problem...that stupid cell mess up everything...but..ok..it's router...

If you don't believe us, why did you asked for help in the first place? A phone can't mess up a router, only the router itself or a PC can
ok..i have a belking n1 vision...and to get a "better one" i should get one with nothing but stupid leds? cause of the cell??

I asked for a possible solution..since i never thought android could crash a router...and since i surely am not an android expert...
It's the router...great..i paid it almost as much as that cell...
I don't blame nothing...i just am wondering why it happens when the desire x is connected...what it can possibly do to mess up things..?

Try updating your router firmware. If that doesn't help, try a different firmware like tomato or open-wrt.
And please report back.

Now before you all point me towards thread that don't have any solutions, I know for some reason the X10 seems to have WiFi issues.
Mine for instance sees the network but doesn't even bother connecting at all.. Running on R2BA020 Base 1.1.25 and I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and managed to fix it

Try updating your firmware and see if that helps.
I had a similar problem to this. I just changed my Wifi password and it connected after. See if that works.
it used to happen to me a lot on my dir 615
i just reset the router when it happens and it'll fix itself
the problem got solved when i actually got the newest router firmware that addressed the periodic wireless disconnection and never had to reset it again

It does the same on other routers as well, both of which are pretty much set up the same
I will try updating the firmware even if Java hates me right now,

hey man... mine 026 version had da same pblm.... in pc companion ders an option repair along with update... use dat repair n c .. i jus did yesterday n it connects beautifully... jus update it agn in repair option n it mite help u ...
Hi all, as the thread title says... for some reason, my x10mini keeps on restarting my router at my paren't place and also the router at my home... the router i have at home is a Cisco router so it's a well known brand, so i assumed.
It's annoying because the rest of the family loses internet and when my bro is in a game he gets disconnected causing huge wars between family members
I've been having this issue for ages now, with all the ROMs that i've used starting from stock before root was possible until now where at this moment i'm using NobodyAtall's MiniCM6-1.0.0-RC2 but like i said it's been happening for months now with all the ROMs.
Is anybody else having the same issue or maybe have a possible solution for me?
I've been having the same problem, not with my android phone though. When for example, download at max speed on my computer via the wifi, it would randomly reboot.
I googled for like 2-3 weeks until i got a really nice answer. Changing the broadcast channel on the router to 1. Try that and get back to me!
It's weird i guess, but my other computer, when downloading at max speed, it wont reboot the router. So it sure is devices communicating with the device differently or something.
Not really into networking, but hope it helps!

Nope, doesn't make a difference - I've changed the wireless channel to 1 and tried again and still, the router resets itself...

Happens to my router at home as well as my parent's... so it would be way too much of a coincidence if it was both that were faulty.
if both are the same router check their firmware if they have the same update your routers firmware. or update firmware on your router first and check whether the problem is solved

My router D-Link DIR-655 with Firmware 1.21 have the same problem too.
So i guess buying a new router could be the only option until Android fix this issue.
I may have found a fix for it - not ideal but it's working. I've disabled WAP/WEP security and have activated MAC address control and have allowed for my phone's MAC address to connect to the network.
Since making the change, i haven't had a single router restart.
What an absolute schlepp to add the MAC address every time i want a wireless device to connect but it's working.

If your router is Cisco Linksys, use dd-wrt firmware on it. I have both e2000 and 610n and both have uptime of months with lots of devices connected..

1. when it connects to the router it only has 5 to 10 sec time span connection.
2. tried an application called wifi static on the android market using my mobile network and it didn't work
3. since i am just new here tried to read some forums for 5 hours and didn't get any info or I just got lost in between threads.
4. I don't know how to solve the issues with the router although I am seeing the same problems with other devices. No problems with laptops, other some brands of phones, apple products)

are you on.42 fw?
i have this problem but only on .42 i guess and now im moving on to .58 which i hope this wifi problems will go away
Hey, i have wifi problem on .58 fw. The only problem is the download speed.
I can download only a few kb/s, but upload is about 5Mbit/s....
Fw. is the stock hungarian T-mobile and its rooted by zergrus.
Any way to solve it?

Tried it dozens of times. I was trying to check on other forums and threads but unfortunately, i didn't see a direct solution. But I was wondering how a SK17i is affected by a fluctuation on a specific 2.4 ghz router. Although other devices work perfectly.
Is there a solution other than changing the rom? Maybe a program or a calibration that is permitted by the device without sacrificing the warranty?

im just saying i have wifi problems too and thats cause im on .42 fw. so im asking u what firmware version youre now on. if its .42 than thats most likely the cause of your wifi problem.
so my suggestion is try to upgrade your fw to .58 or .62 and the wifi problem would be gone i guess.
iam now trying to flash to .58 to fix my problems like yours too
edit: if its firmware fault then thats nothing you can do, i have tried wifi fixer from the market and its not fixing so the only way is to upgrade to the latest firmware and thats if youre actually currently on .42 fw

I tried yesterday roaming around the neighborhood testing the wifi system of all the neighbors using different types of routers. It is working with their router. Unfortunately, my house and my parents house have the same router with the same problem.
I'm looking for a solution that can bypass any router so i wont have any problems wherever I go to. Using my HTC smartphone it works perfectly. Although SK17i doesnt agree with the thought.

I had the same problem with my lynsys router when I got my mini pro, it would connect for a bit and disconnect, actually all the devices connected to the router would lose the connection. The fix, updated the router's firmware. No problems since then.

Just fixed it. I appreciate the wake up call. I thought there is a way around it.
The modem was reset so I checked the net. Saw the key to opening up the router website. I left the user id blank and put the password "admin" and got through the router website.

Nothing major change that i know of, my phone worked great until like a week ago. The problem is with the wifi.
It connects and all, bit it acts as if its just slow connection, but its not because on my computer / laptop its fine. for example, youtube wont load a video, i cant download a single thing from the play store, even facebook is acting wierd. But as i said its connected to the wifi.
Now for the last weekend i went up to my brothers, and the wifi on my phone worked flawless. This is what confuses me. :/
Original s3, no root or nothing, jellybean ofc.
Any ideas anyone? :/

I got a router, and all devices connect to that, what i mean was the problem i dont think it can be with the internet itself because this issue dont occur on any other devices. if that makes sense.. :S
Your S3 has definitely got a unique IP address? You haven't set it static have you?

no, it's just a desperate cry
You should try to reboot your router and also clean the IPs assigned by DHCP.
Also, try setting a fixed IP for your Mate 10 Pro.
But If it's happening on other wi-fi hotpots too, then i'm afraid that the issue is elsewhere.

Mine had not problem with wifi, even with initial firmware. Try to reset the wifi router, maybe that will fix the wifi slow connection (My old router had to be resetted always to fix the temporarily occuring slow connection on all devices, including laptops and pc)

I tried with 4 routers .... with all the same fault !!!!
But I've seen that if I go into the settings and I reset the network ... practically ... for a while it works very well ... then comes back to have problems

Thats weird. As you are still in warranty (device came recently onto the market) I would go to the seller and reclaim it. I am sure you will get a spare.
I've had exactly the same problem, sent it back today for a replacement.
