You mean Wifi? It is there. In Symbian Nokia phones, WLAN is the name given for Wifi.

Well I was wondering if it was possible to create an own 2G/3G network at home so I can have internet everywhere.
I remember that it was possible back in the days with WAP gateways amd servers so was wondering if its also possible with a G network.

Which app are you using?
I'm using the one that came on the phone. It say "you need the mobile hotspot feature from verizon wireless to use this feature"

If your using the stock one it wont work try this it comes on almost all ROMs.

That didn't work, my phone is on ICS android 4.0.3, HTC sense version 3.6

You have to be rooted to use any of the tether apps, otherwise it will keep telling you that you need the feature added to your plan.

Pretty much.
The WiFi tether that comes with most ROMs never works for me, so I use this:

It's an extra, paid service from Verizon. If it's not on your plan you can't use it until you add it and pay for it. Or you can root and use wifi tether.
Thanks guys....will consider rooting.
