OK I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff and I would greatly appreciate if one of you knowledgeable guys/gals could help me out.

now, I rooted via the unlocker website, followed the directions word for word and loaded my first rom, it was a success! Everything worked except I didnt like the rom all that much. Found one I liked and wiped 5 times and flashed the new rom. This is where my wifi issues started. Would try to turn on wifi and it would just say "turning on wifi" nothing else. Have done some reading it maybe a mismatched kernel or module of some sort. I have no clue how to do this and the instructions are not that great either.

Did you flash the boot.img from the ROM in fastboot? This is the most common issue with WiFi and custom ROMs in the Rezound.
BTW, this forum gets lots of traffic, you don't need to post the same issue in three different threads...

Guys please pardon me... Okay so here's my story. I wanted to enable the GSM call function of my flyer so I researched and ended up here on XDA. Alright so here we go... My flyer 3g was previously hboot 1.07, s-on. What I did was I did not follow the GOLDCARD thingy. I downloaded RUU and followed the instructions and then did the REVOLUTIONARY and ended up on this:

Gurus, what do these things mean?
What I'm trying to do is to enable GSM call function. Can I still do something to enable it? Can I roll it back to hboot 1.07?
Oh yeah, tried editing the "build.prop" but to no avail. everytime I reboot it goes back to the same thing.
Anyway, I tried the GOLDCARD thingy and it bypassed the BOOTLAODER, says cant roll back. everything was okay from Recovery to RAdio_cust except BOOTLAODER.

Oh yeah I forget to mention this. After doing the GOLDCARD, I cant go to RECOVERY no more to install the su.zip for the CWM.. I cant root it as well...

I unlocked and rooted two days ago. Then flashed Revolution HD, all was good.. Set things up, rebooted a bunch of time.. After noticing a Sensation two way record problem I followed threads and found the fix and went for another rom.. Something went very wrong. would not boot to Android, as I am checking things out I find my Hboot is back to original version, and will boot to HBoot but bothing past that. I don't see a way to redo 4EXT but from Android. Also my HBoot is now showing **LOCKED**, yet S-Off? HELP

Hello. My name is Tim and I am totally new in flashing. I have few questions:
1. I tried a lot of roms but some of them didn't worked... ex. Virtuous Eclipse boot up but stuck on logo screen... All gingerbread roms boot up and keep rebooting.... what's wrong here?
2. What hboot and radio version u recommend?

Ok, with these known I know how to help you: on that bootloader you cannot install any roms except ics sense-based. For all others, downgrade your hboot to 1.49 (lots of topics for that round here, you just download the P86IMG to root of sd card, reboot in bootloader and accept the install). Then you will be able to use any roms you wish. Have fun
Thanks for quick reply... I downgraded it to 1.49 (Virtuous Eclipse now works perfect), but still - Gingerbread not(freeze in enter PIN, then restarts - bootloop).... I would like to try some gingerbread roms... Help again?

When you download a CUSTOM ROM it should say if it works with hboot 1.49.For example i have Elegancy ROM and it works for hboot 1.50 or lower.
Look up for ROMs that work with your Hboot

Okay I need help with my htc evo 4g lte. I tried flashing a new rom using twrp 2.5.0.0 and it didn't work because i'm s-on and i'm running hboot 2.09.0000 I've tried reading the dirtyRacun instructions on how to become s-off but they do not make sense to me moving foward my original back up of sense 4.1.1 got deleted by mistake now I do not have a rom to boot up to all I have is the twrp and that is it. I've tried looking for a PJ75IMG file which could work for my phone but I haven't come across one I've also tried looking for a RUU file which could help me out but still not luck and I also tried viperRuu still nothing. Is there anything I could do? Is it possible for someone to copy they're back up of sense 4.1.1 and put it on here in a link just so I can use my phone. I also tried using viper4G and my phone installs it fine and all but the touch screen doesn't work after then I used the CM10 rom flashed the boot.img using the cmd and installed it and the touch screen still didn't work. I'm completely lost. PLEASE can someone tell me there's still hope or should I just drop my phone into a cup of water and bring it to sprint and tell them it fell into the toilet because there's still insurance on the device?

GSM version. I was originally trying to solve my 'wifi-wont turn on' problem, ended up trying to flash a custom ROM, which meant I had to perform the S-OFF wire trick, which was a pain in the ass, but successful.
Right now I'm at the following specs, and no idea how to continue. No matter what I do seems to leave me in the same place. Ive tried multiple ROMs now and every time I try to upgrade/downgrade the hboot or the radio it gives me "model ID incorrect" and reboot.

[edit]Forgot to mention I have the PG86310, which after some googling indicates is a bad thing
i dont know about the the PG86310 but you could try using this method to downgrade hboot. then wipe data+caches in recovery and flash a custom rom
Okay I successfully downgraded my hboot to 1.49.008 using a combination of the above link, and files from the original Rogers RUU. I was able to boot the stock ROM and re-unlock my device. I'm now at HBoot 1.49.008, unlocked, S-Off
