Hi guys!
Yesterday I have got my ZTE V987...it is really functioning very well but what it annoying for me are those chineze applications...the biggest problem is that I can not start Play Store even I have no problems during the installation...
How can I root my device? What ROM to use (is there any that is stable and includes standard google apps)?
Sorry if this question is too simple for you, I am real beginner and in Montenegro I can not find any good service to do this operation for me...
If it is not to complicated for you, please, describe the whole process to me, what software to use, where to download...etc...just for me to be safe that I will not ruin the phone...also, it will be useful for other newcomers like me for sure
Thanks a lot in advance and best regards from sunny Montenegro!

Hello I have just acquired an Asus Prime TF201 and i want to root it and install a custom rom as i have on all my other android devices, perhaps i'm being a little blonde at the moment or i'm unfamiliar with the layout of the development section but i am unable to see a decent guide as to how to accomplish this.
Is there any right way of rooting this device ? Could anyone loan me any pointers please?
I really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers.
PS: Looking forward to porting some of my six axis profiles to this tablet, i've made quite a few
UPDATE: Solved.
Hi everybody,
I'm new at this forum and new in rooting roming world, so first of all sorry for my mistakes in advance.
Just recived my Neken N6 MTK6589T 2/32 and wanted to root it. I have no idea how to do it and afraid of getting some critical error to the phone so I would appreciate detailed info. Also have read that I need to have some recovery app in case of getting that error and I don't know which should be and how to install it (it's not like installing an app from PlayStore isn't it?). Finally, I have notice that would be useful to instal a ROM after rooting the phone in order to improve its performance.
Well, as you see I'm in a mess and I would be very greatful to recive proper info. Thank you so much!
Hello everyone I am a newbie to all this stuff. Let me wrap up my doubts quickly.
1. What are consequences of rooting your phone? I know it voids the warranty. But is it safe to give root access to your apps?
Does it safe to provide root access to apps and is it safe from intrusions malware's etc..
2. What else can we do apart from customization of the phone.
Please help me to get through this. BTW m using nexus 5 con android 4.4.4 not rooted( obviously :laugh
Thanks in advance
with root you have full control of your phone, without it you can use it but you will never have full control.

Hi, wrong forum, but we can still help you out:
1. No consequences - IF - you follow all the instructions and only use apps/ROMs that have been verified for your device. Using apps/ROMs that don't have a good rating or aren't meant for your phone can lead to negative results.
2. Rooting your phone opens up its permissions, therefore allowing you to virtually change any aspect of your device: the look, the performance, anything you can think of. We recommend watching videos on the Xposed Modules and ROM reviews for CM and Paranoid Android.
Good luck!
Hey thank you for kind and detailed reply even to wrong placed post... Given the advice, now m running CyanogenMod 11 and yes of course used themer app before rooting my n5 and again now using the same coz I just simply love this app...

Hey guys!
I recently found this forum through the YouTube channel xdadevelopers and especially because I have a question.
I tried to find more details about my phone, an Allview X3 soul lite, and I wanted to know if it is worth to root my device. Honestly, I want to root it for a couple of games or more. I know I will lose my warranty (it is over anyway) and the risks of "bricking" it.
I would like some opinions and if someone with a similar device already did it, what is the safest way to root my device (if possible, of course).
I am new to this and any suggestion or information to make me wiser is much appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi guys. I have a Kodak Smartway X1 and if you take a look you will find that Mister Google doesn't know anything about rooting this device. I've tried every known methods for doing that, but I couldn't make it. I would like, if there is any developer reading this, please help rooting my device, or a least an ADB root for making volume buttons change music tracks. I have the Stock Rom if it is needed, I can upload it and share it. Sorry for disturbing and for my horrible english. Thanks in advance.
Have you had any luck with it yet? I recently bought this phone and tried several ways to root it with any luck. Could you share the stock ROM, please?
