How can I megawipe my dna?
All of which will wipe the internal sdcard (/data/media/* )
Reboot to bootloader and select the factory reset option or
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot -w
It erases user data and cache (including /data/media/* )
And/or use the RUU

Please don't kill me for asking this question but I've searched and searched without finding an answer:
Can I install a custom ROM (I copied viperROM to my SD card) using TWRP? Is that what the "Install Zip" option is for? Or do I need to get ROM Manager like all the tutorials on the web say to?
I used Titanium backup to backup up all my stuff, then I successfully got root+s-off using Revolutionary, TWRP recovery is running perfectly as well. I just made a Nandroid backup but I don't know the next step...
Yes, use recovery. Install zip. Do a nandroid backup first.
Yep, flash through recovery. Using the "Install Zip" feature that you saw.
Boot in to recovery:
1/ Wipe data/Factory reset
Wipe Cache partition
Wipe Dalvik cache (in "advanced")
2/ Install zip from sd-card...
Wait... reboot phone... wait... and wait... done!

These are the options I see:
1) Wipe Cache
2) Wipe Dalvik Cache
3) Wipe Everything (Data Factory Reset)
4) Wipe Battery Stats
5) Wipe Rotation Data
Do you advise I do 1, 2, and 3?

Thanks for your help guys, viperROM is installed and running.
Hi guys.
I can't erase the davlik cache on my desire X.
TWRP says it "can't erase tha cache", and CWM puts me back into main menu, when i click "erase dalvik" in advanced.
I have problems installing roms.
Maybe this is the reason?
You can erase it manually.
Just
Code:
adb shell
rm -rf /data/dalvik-cache
through adb in recovery

I was installing jellybean cm 10 on my atrix and here's what I did
I rooted the device
unlocked the boot loader
power and volume down
I stopped at android recovery
I went to mounts and storage
format system
format cache
format data
format preinstall
wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik
wipe data factory reset
and I install the cm10 zip from the sd card
then download google apps
then rebooted.
Once it rebooted I'm stuck.. and I really have no clue what to do.

I've searched but found no answer. My problem is that I can't completely erase data. Yes I've wiped in cwm installed different ROMs cleared everything restored from RUU but using the app Diskdigger I can always find files & everything that I've already deleted. I have tried force running the TRIM action which was successful but I'm always able to recover deleted files. Either I'm doing something wrong or that's a freakishly advanced app
Could be something wrong with your recovery
Being you mentioned an RUU I assume you have an HTC phone, this means your bootloader supports fastboot and so long as you are s-off you can run this command in fastboot to completely erase data partition
fastboot erase userdata
If your device emulates an SD card (as opposed to a removable SD) this is stored on data partition so be advised it will wipe that too

Has stock recovery changed through the life of this phone? I have the original img recovery file but want to make sure and have the most updated.

In OOS 2.2.1 I see a different stock recovery than in OOS 2.1.2 as far as i remember. Though it still says Ver 1.0. In the main menu i've the options: Internal Storage, Install from ADB, Wipe data and cache, Advanced, Exit. Internal storage shows anything on the SDCard0, Install from ADB askes to upgrade Android from USB, Wipe data and cache gives the options: Factory Reset, Wipe data, Wipe cache. Advanced shows: Reboot to fastboot, Format data, Ver 1.0. Exit shows: Reboot, Power off.
I seem to remember the OOS 2.1.2 recovery had some red accents in it and a choise between chinese and english.
