[Q] Quick Toggles not showing in notifications window - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running ArchiDroid v2.1 based on CM10.2 (android 4.3)
and i don't know if its bugs from the experimental cm10.2 or maybe something wrong with some setting of mine.
I've set bunch of quick toggles to show at notifications pull down window -
gps, airplane mode, bluetooth, etc etc...
when pulling down the notifications window i see only 6 quick toggles instead all of them.
when pulling/dragging to the sides, to see the other toggles like before, i see just blank space, no toggles there.
Someone experienced the issue, and maybe know how to resolve?
Thanks

Pulling down they sides is "quick pull down" and only works when there is no notifications.
There should be many settings for this. Not sure why you only have 6. Perhaps screenshots of your settings may help

didn't understand your first line.
the quick toggles in the notifications pulldown window always worked for me - not matter if there's a notification or not.
my settings is :
Settings - > System - > Notification window/drawer (not sure exactly about the english translation - mine is in hebrew) ->
Power Widget checked
Widget buttons - > All my necessary toggles is checked.
I Havent changed any special setting - those settings worked before
thanks

Power widget and Quick toggles are 2 different things. So which is it? Or is it both?
My first line, there is a setting for "quick pull down". This means you can pull down the notification area normally, but if you pull down at the side "Quick pull down" it goes to quick toggles. But only if there is no notifications.
Without screenshots, I doubt anyone can help

i always thought it was called quick toggles (used to it from jkay mod)
but i mean the power widget , it adds buttons like in jkay mod - when pulling the notifications window, on top it - this are the toggles i'm referring to.
quick pull down option is disabled in my phone settings.
Thanks

Paranoid Android Help - Big Mode

Does anyone know if there is a way to Hide/Toggle status bar in Big mode (or middle mode) on the Paranoid Android ROM? I tried the Check "Auto Hide" in Settings, System, Statusbar, but it does not go away. Even installed Apex/Nova launchers and set a gesture to toggle but that does not work either. I really love this ROM but I posted this question in the ROMs forum and received no response (probably because there were many other questions of a higher priority) but no one responded. Any help is appreciated but I can't stand part of my beautiful SLCD screen being used by the status bar when watching videos. (Iwas so happy when the first mod to remove the 3-dot menu came along) Any help or advice is much appreciated.
In the power menu there is an option to expand desktop. Toggle it and status bar will be gone.

Thank you for the info, is there a quick way to bring it back up or just hit option in power menu again?

[Request] Option to limit Quick Settings toggles

Quick Setting toggles in Paranoid are awesome, I really appreciate how they work.
However, I miss the option from CM to edit the toggles behaviour, intended as which options the toggle can show.
In my specific case, I would like to:
- remove the Device option from GPS toggle and use just Low/High precision
- remove LTE from Mobile Data Switcher, as I have no 4G traffic (I love Italy for this things... and sarcasm) so I can have 2G and 2G/3G (someone maybe prefer 3G only)
If anyone has any other preferences, write them below, I'd apreciate if others have my same thought.

Will try to understand JIRA in this case...
also, if we could get an update on that quick notification settings so we can decide if left or right edge of screen shall pull it down.. not just random.
thank you
@Pirateghost I can't register on JIRA; is that normal?

It stucks in an infinite loading; later I'll check if something change (I'm writing from the uni, as my computer is not working)
Re: Option to limit Quick Settings toggles
Whenever, I start my phone, all the toggles are there. The other best thing about this I had discovered is in order to remove them, one can simply turn off the toggles via notification switch or just via uninstalling the entire app.

I have no idea what this means. The QS tiles are not able to be uninstalled.

[Q] Edit notification bar settings

I had Xperia Arc S before this phone and i had CM11 on it. It had option in settings to make notification bar show regular notification when pulling left part of it and quick settings if I pull right part of it. On Z2 I noticed that I need to pull down and the click on quick settings every time, since it does not have this option. (And i haven't actually saved any click, it is same as i went to settings and turned wi-fi or data off)
Is there any possibility to turn this on on Xperia Z2?
I am using stock Kit Kat ROM v 4.4.4. (not rooted)
Thank you in advance!
Tap the notification bar on the right side & pull it down slightly & you should see the quick settings button get highlighted in white then continue to pull down & it will show the quick settings.
Edit on stock 4.4.4 you can swipe in the notification shade to switch between notifications & quick settings, just noticed that myself.
Get the xposed module xperia xposed kk
In system ui right side pull down has what you want.
Probably going to aosp since that modules quick settings selection is lacking, and it the extra tiles keep disappearing.
Gravity box only works on aosp

You can also use two fingers to swipe down to get to the quick settings.
Wow, thanks. Is there any thread where are all the tips about using this phone?

[GUIDE] How to Add Battery percentage in status bar and modify layout of status bar

Source: http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/android-marshmallow-tips-and-tricks/7/
1.) Tap and hold the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the Quick Settings menu. After a few seconds, lift your finger and you will see a popup at the bottom telling you that the System UI Tuner has been added to your Settings.
2.) Go to your settings and into system UI tuner. (it is at the bottom of settings.)
3.) Check the box to Show embedded battery percentage.
4.) Configure the way you want your tiles displayed and in what order under quick settings. Under status bar you can turn off features you don't use so they never show as an option in the status bar.
5.) Done!

I was using this a couple of Moto versions back and kept hoping they would eventually let you replace the battery bar with nothing but a percent, but it never happened. It's so small I find myself blinking to make out the numbers.
Yeah that why I used Gravitybox with circle battery and % but my old eyes have trouble no matter what..lol

Xposed is what I"m going to miss most by not being able to root. I used Gravitybox and Flat Style Status Bar to completely change the status bar around. I have always hated the default Android status bar. I like my clock in the center and nothing but a percent for the battery.
Does this work?
Does this actually work on the G4?
I have an unlocked UK retail G4 and the cog does not spin and the System UI tuner is not added to the menu.
Could someone with a UK model please confirm if this does or does not work for them.

Works on my US G4. Pull down notification, press and hold on the gear in the top-right for 5 seconds or so, let go, System UI Tuner gets added to Settings.

Yes, tap and hold the cog in the drop down notification menu for 20 seconds (edit XT1622, dual sim from Motorola direct)
After reading around on the internet I have managed to solve this. I had turned on the developer option and changed the animation speed to x0.5. This seemed to somehow break the spinning cog.
Having now turn that off again and rebooted the cog does now spin as it should! Thanks for the help.

I tried this on a 16gb G4(US variant non-amazon) and Nexus 5x, but no dice. How long are you suppose to hold it? I tired 5, 10, and 20 seconds, didn't work.

You didn't change the animation speed in Developer Options did you? You should see it start to spin almost immediately.

Note: Don't have Animations (in Developer Options) set to Off. And then turn Developer Options OFF. Until you do that you won't get the System UI Settings added. And then reboot.

Did you try turning off the Developer Options? That's what fixed it for me.
I did this on an amazon moto G4 with the stock OEM.img flashed in. The menu shows up, and I can make it show battery% and turn off status bar icons, but, none of the "Quick Settings" changes actually take effect, even after a reboot. Not a big deal, but good to be aware of.
If you would like to have a larger battery percentage than this gives, download Clean UI launcher. In the launcher settings go to components settings and you can select battery percentage. Make sure status bar clear is turned on. This will give you an IOS style status bar. If you do not want IOS styled notification screen, make sure notification clear is turned off. You do not have to use CleanUI as your launcher for this to work. I have tried this with Nova and Google Now launchers.

That's not common, because I have the same phone and looked at another and in both the quick settings take effect.
I also had to turn off battery saver first.
But I prefer it to show % beside the battery icon not inside battery icon, old eyes.
Reboot cell removes %

Question How to Hide Persistent App Icon

So I'm coming from a pixel 6 pro to the galaxy s23 ultra. It's my first Samsung phone so I'm still getting familiar with the Samsung flavor of Android.
Is there a way to hide/not display an apps persistent notification icon from the status bar? I use a diabetic monitoring app(xdrip+) which has to always be running for obvious reasons. The app produces a graph which is always visible when I pull down the notification bar, I like that peice and want to keep it. However having the icon displayed in the status bar at all times is an eye sore.
On the pixel (and previously my oneplus 7 pro) I could set the notification to "silent" and it would hide the icon but would still display the graph in the notification bar. I can't find a way to mirror that on my galaxy s23. I can disable the persistent notification all together, but then I lose access to the handy graph.
When the notification shade is down and all notifications are visible you tap and hold the notification you want to change and after a moment a few options will appear and you tap settings and it takes you yo settings for that notification

I tried that, and setting it to "silent" didn't do anything sadly. I also tried disabling the notification entirely but that sadly made the graph go away as well.

Ahhhhh thank you. I fooled around a bit in there before but didn't realize that there were sub options within sub options. Thank you so much for the help, I'm now able to hide the icon.
