As the title says, I can't seem to find any recoveries or anything compatible inside goomanager. Is it because of my ROM?

Like the title says, each time i try to install rom manager from the market (or cwm recovery), it won't let me due to the device being incompatible? The paid version of rom manager works but not the free version.
I've read some old posts and there were little to no explanations. Was wondering if there is any updates for this problem?
Thanks
Hello.. Just wanna ask..

If haven't already try doing a Google search for your device by it's manufacturer, phone name and model number then search for Clockworkmod Recovery (Needed to install ROMs) and Cyanogenmod (Custom ROM) but you may just be stuck with the Stock ROM so just consider Rooting it (Making your self Administrator on your phone) and searching for useful Root Apps that you would like to use.

Hi i installed the z993-stock-AIO.zip ROM that supposedly was compattible with the ZTE z992 but it was unestable and then i installed the "stock z992"(witouth the meta-inf) and now my phone has a brick on the logon screen i think i installed a incompatible kernel, there is something that i can do to fix my phone? maybe installing a compatible kernel? or what can i do? Thank you all.
I am completely new to custom ROMs. I rooted my phone and am looking to install a custom ROM on my phone. I cant seem to find any for the Straight talk phones though that are up to date. Could some one point me to a simple walk through on how to install cyanogen or another ROM?
Have you installed a custom recovery? I flashed the CWM recovery using flashify (you can get it from the play Store). But take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557601, that thread should answer most of your questions.
