Lately my homescreen will freeze turn black and a pop comes up and says homescreen is not responding wait. Cancel. I have to reboot to get it to work again. Anyone know how to get rid if this? Im stock rooted 4.1.2

Not sure if I'm deleting something I shouldn't but every time I use the P3droid root after about a day I get the error com.motorola.contacts and i can't get into my contacts. Anyone else run into this problem? If so how do I fix it?

I've taken them all off, just not yahoo. No one has had that issue from taking those ones off. Plus I defrost all of them and the issue is still there...

Did you freeze email auth. ? Also try to clear data for contacts and contacts storage.. make sure u have them synced or backed up.

My wife and I both have Razr Maxx's and the text "Please Call" has randomly appeared on her stock lock screen just under where the date is(just under the line). Anyone know what this is for? She's on the most current update and no reboots have taken the message away. Thanks for any help!

Hello everyone! I upgraded to ICS today, and noticed that the notification to chose a keyboard keeps popping up. It also says that Google Voice is chosen when I've disabled it. Can anyone help me with this? I really appreciate it!

After the ics update you will have to press the imput method to change the keyboards you want to use. That's normal ;-)

Thank you for replying! I chose the Android keyboard, and the prompt to choose a keyboard still pops up. I tried restarting and rebooting my phone and nothing is making this notification go away. As you can see in the pic I attached, the only option it will check off when I touch it is Google Voice. It's making me nuts.

We all have that same screen with google voice so don't drive yourself to nuts over that. Its the default keyboard that needs to be set which it looks like you did so I'm not sure why it keeps prompting you to choose.
Edit: I notice you have google voice unchecked. Recheck it, set default keyboard to whatever you want and report back

Okay, I did what you suggested and have included screen caps. For some reason the notification to choose the keyboard isn't going away. I can ignore it if it's not a fixable problem, I'm just a little OCD about my notifications being cleared.

It will always be up there with a keyboard open.
Cm9 has an option to turn off that notification, otherwise it'll be there.
If you wanna reflash...Just do exactly what you did in the first place...
I don't think he flashed a ROM before if he got the ota . There is a tutorial stickied in the general page as to going about flashing and rooting

Having a problem with safestrap not working correctly on my MAX.
When i boot into recovery, i go to where you enable the safety part, do i can install a different ROM. It says its backing up, then it says something about reloading data and then it errors out. When i reboot its like i just turned on the phone for the first time.
Anyone know of this happening our a solution?

If you have already switched back and forth, the last back up it made became corrupt so when trying to restore it gets an error.

It was a fresh install after I updated to .211.
And now when i open it up, it just stops working and will not let me enable safe mode.

I just did a data reset on my stock rooted phone. Now when I try and change the wallpaper on the lock screen it will force close. Any help would be great. Thanks all.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Clear your data for the lockscreen app. That will fix it.

Ok don't know what I did now but I can not get into lock screen settings at all after restart. It just force closes. I am stuck with asop lock screen. Help!
