Thanks but this was the GB, ICS bootanimation, I requested the JB one

Oh come on. Andrew has used his time to help you, and given you the Samsung boot logo. Jellybean or not, at least thank him for his efforts.
I might add that only the title says Jellybean. I don't usually read the title, so be more specific in the post itself.

Help - installed ICS GT i9100 on i777

Please Help. I flashed this Ice cream sandwich file "I9100XXLPB_I9100OXXLP5_OXX" on my galaxy s2 i777 and now i cant go back to stock. I get a frozen boot screen with the gt-i9100 logo. The only time I can get the phone to turn on is when I reflash the i9100 ics with odin. I dont want that because the back and search buttons dont work and internet data is not working. I just want to go back to the icsrewd that I had or foxhound. Please help. Thank you.
P.s. I also tried this, but didnt work "[Heimdall][Odin][Stock][Root]UCKH7/KK6 Return/Unbrick to Stock (or Root)"
Why not flash back to what was working, as you stated you can, and then from there, clear/wipe etc., and flash what you do want?

It wont let me flash anything that has to do with i777, not even the rom i had before.
If you can get into download mode you can flash back to stock. Just do everything you did when you flash the 1900 but use the stock one found in the development board and you should be fine

Tried to return to stock. It finishes download and reboots phone, but then the screen freezes at the galaxy s2 logo. I have to re-enter download mode to get off that screen. The phone never boots up after that. I need a link to a .tar file for a rom so I can flash through odin.

Flash back to stock first. You need to flash everything for the I777 that is in the i9100 package that caused the problem. Use an archive program to open the i9100 tar and look at the contents. It probably includes boot.bin, sbl.bin, and param.lfs. None of the stock I777 packages that you tried to flash have those. In that case, flash the I777UCKH7-CL503881 Stock Binaries from the Download Repository, which contains those files.
What Creepy said is accurate. The reason yer messed up is you flashed i9100 bootloaders most likely.

Thank you so much everyone, creepy especially. I struggled with this problem for hours tonight until I was able to get your method to work. I want to cry I'm so relieved. I've only got a few hours until I have to get up for work, but it's all been worth it now that my phone is resurrected. You all are techno-saviors.

Why oh why are people so eager to do things to their phones without even a basic understanding of what they are doing? At least he only resurrected a thread and didn't start a new one.:silly:

U need to flash stock firmware with odin to restore functionality to the phone. Search for "stock firmware uckh7 i777 xda" with Google or search for creepyncrawly's profile here on xda, in his signature he has links to return to stock. Good luck.

Ok this is not being mean or rude, but if you dont know the meaning of these basic terms then you need to stop what your doing and spend some time doing your homework. Will you be with out a phone for a few hours? Yes but this is the price you pay for doing something before you understand what your doing. So please before you do something that cant be fixed. Do the research.

Can i flash rom with odin and how
He's also asking about what to do on an SPH-D710 in the GT-I9100 forum.
OP, do NOT flash anything from this forum. The device that this forum is for is the GT-I9100, which is a different device than the Sprint Galaxy SII. The GT-I9100 is a GSM phone that doesn't even work on Sprint's network.

Go to the Epic 4G Touch forum I linked you to above.
You won't find answers here in the I9100 forum.

That might be, but that doesn't change the fact that the device you are working with is an Epic 4G Touch (SPH-D710), and not an I9100. I9100 users will typically not be able to help you, and files in this forum will not get you out of the situation you have created by doing just that; using a file from this forum, on a device that it was not meant for.
You will find many E4GT users have done the same. They were all likewise directed to the correct forum.

(Tmobile) Galaxy S2 won't boot up & Nothing works in recovery.

Hey, Guys I had the CM10 Jelly Bean rom downloaded from Rom Manager (I know I shouldnt have used Rom Manager but too late). The rom was giving me problems of low call volume and mic, Losing signal and some other stuff so someone suggested me to use Dark Side Super Wipe and reinstall the rom. I did and Now the phone won't boot up it stays on the CM screen and the Nothing works in the recovery. I tried back and restore doesnt work, Tried installing super wipe again doesnt work. Reseting phone to factory doesnt work. So basically im stuck. I did my search couldnt find anything similar to my problem so I decided to post here. Next step I was going to take is put it on download mode and flash stock rom with ODIN but before I do that I wana get advice from you experts.
I made a short video describing the problem so please take a look to get a better idea of what im talking about. Unfortunately forums wont let me post the links because i have less than 10 posts so please type the title on youtube with my username

I will edit and post the link when I have 10 posts to save the hassle.

[Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly]

Hello guys..
I would like you to go through XDA new users guide and you must read the FORUM RULES before posting here or anywhere else on xda.
The rate at which the new users are joining xda on daily basis is very high. A lot of users join because they have got some problems with their devices like bricked phone, bootloops etc. because of following incorrect processes. Some join to help out others, to share their knowledge and gain more.
So basically this thread is for all of those who want to ask questions and answer those.
So those who want to help here, just try to answer without flaming, let it be answered thousands of times earlier, show them the path, direction and let them do things on their own. Do not spoon feed, rather just try to point them to right direction.
This whole idea is of @undercover and the former OP Bruce Wayne and I thank him.
To The people asking questions here, don't forget to check for the links from 2nd post. That will help you increase your knowledge, and do answer the questions asked by others if you know the answer. Please don't simply say thanks if some member helps you, instead use the thanks button, that will help us keep this thread less cluttered.

Hey sorry for not replying,
As I am not in scripting, I am completely unaware of such things. I tried hard with the search but couldn't find anything useful. I didn't reply because I was expecting a reply from someone with answer. I saw your thread but it is also unanswered.
You can try asking help from the people in your section working on kernels and shell scripts.
Thanks.

Hi, I've got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I've got this problem where it freezes upon reaching the "4G" logo on startup. I looked online for answers and someone recommended to "Odin a stock ROM from your PC", and then they posted a link to this site. Now, I have no idea how to Odin, or what a stock ROM is, so could anyone help me out?

Yes.
Welcome to XDA.
Please go to your device's forum using the search your device box from site. type samsung galaxy s2 and choose your device from the options. Look for the stock odin firmwares thread there. Download the one from your region, see the instructions given on flashing there. If you don't understand the instructions, check out youtube videos for that.
Odin is a easy process and just needs instructions to be followed correctly.
And inform us here when you recover your phone again.

Hi,
Make sure you close samsung kies when you try to use odin.
As for flashing anything from odin, you will need to boot into download mode (vol. Down + power + home) after switching phone off. Then press vol. up, you will see a warning, first and after that comes the downloading screen.
Now make sure drivers are installed correctly, open odin, and now connect phone with usb cable, wait for some time till it shows a yellow box saying COM : ID xxx , something like that and now you can flash relevent files through relevent options. Wait for pass (green) signal and you're done.

That seems crazy, if it shows flight mode, you should also not be able to recieve calls. Seems a problem with the rom. Try wiping cache/dalvick cache /data from cwm/twrp and see if it fixes the bug. If not contact the rom developer or flash another/stock rom and reflash CM 10.1 to see if the problem persists.
Also welcome.

I9500 Changing the boot logo (S4 splash)

So, since I saw the S6's logo, I said to myself: Why not on S4?
I made the logo using Adobe Photoshop. But because of the Knox Warranty Void thing, I can't test it on my device. So, I need someone the test it. I thought, if it works on Galaxy Tab 3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529133), why not on our device?
I think if we made changes on @ketut.kumajaya 's script (as he let's us to do it), we can make it work on our device as well! I am waiting for your replies. Cheers!
The image I am thinking to use it is attached below.
Hi even I've all over the internet and didn't found anything, well I just saw that above post you mentioned about galaxy tab 3 splash logo, I did wanted to try flashing your image file but I can't risk it because it hard brick the device, hope you understand. But if I found something I surely will reply here.
Have a good day.

Thanks for you reply. I understand you don't want to brick your phone. I've searched a lot and found that the logo is also in kernel too. On January 2016, my phone's payment will finish. Maybe I can void my warranty and try this.

Well wishes from me, I've started working on it, I'll let you know if I find something.
Warranty ended will test if made flashable zip or instructions on how to change provided(note: I can only use flashfire,as I have a locked bootloader) . In stang5litre's rom thread gadget (a dev) made a boot animation for the s4 so you might want to contact him if you want help.
Another thing: Flashfire does't trip knox when flashing most things, i'm on stang5litres rom with 0x0(not that this helps me)
I have a I9505 to try it on, as long as I can recover it if it goes bad.
You can change your bootlogo by decompile your boot.img and replace your image with param.bin
Then recompile your kernal..

Hi,
This topic is almost died. S4's stock kernel does not have the splash logo. Flashing the modified param.bin does not work too. So we have no hope.
