Hello Guys, There is a problem with my stock music player... When I start the music player for the first time after a reboot or a force close, If i chose the all tracks button and selects one song and want to change to another song I can´t... it dosen´t load the new song at all. Any ides?
And yes I have downloaded a different music player and it worked to 100% but i like the stock one better
Try clearing the data and cache in the music player .

Re-add songs to the library. That will fill the list again and you can skip to the next song.
No clue if the list will survive a re-boot...
The music player also has a bug where if a play list has finished playing and you leave the phone for a while, when you select another song to play it'll start playing a completely different song (one that was played earlier)
It doesn't happen all the time though. Probably about 4 times a day out of 5 hours of music.

So I really do love my Xperia S but I've notice some issues with walkman that makes it a horrible device. When I'm listening to music and I get in a phone conversation or open up my camera app, the music automatically stops, and does not restart after I close that app.
Sometimes, I open up a game but the music app is still going on, it doesn't stop when I want it to.
When I set the mode to shuffle and then select a song from the queue list, it resets the shuffle mode to off..
Anyone know a way to fix this? I really like the walkman interface so I didn't want to try a new music app, but at this rate I might have to.
I recently bought a Sony Xperia U
It works perfect i love it however when it comes to music its a disaster i tried everything factor release, remove sim , battery , update software.. For some reason when i play my music on music player or any other media player for example MX player or Double twist after 3 minutes exactly of sound music it turns off like it crashes for few minutes it goes black and then it turns on and when it does i cant enter those media applications because they crash immediately..
I tried many experiments like trying with different songs.. different kbs.. but nothing seems to work.. however I tried to see if the issue is the music and its not... i played videos on youtube.... and even my own videos i even turned the radio on and it lasts how much you want it never switched off... This issue wasn't occuring on day 1 after day 1 it happened..
What can i do please help because i just bought it and i would love to find the issue before sending it again to the seller since i bought it from internet.. How can i hear my music on my player? Also whats the best way to transfer music from pc to mobille.. do i just put the music on the xperia u? because their isn't any music folder..
Sometime it crashes when i enter play store also or try to change my live wallpaper..
Thanks alot please reply
you could make a new folder called music and then drag-and-drop it with windows explorer. That is what I did with my xperia s.
I think there is something really wrong with your phone, it shouldn't act like that when playing music. Do you have the same result with other tasks? like playing video's?
I think that you should discuss it with the reseller.

I have a strange problem .. basic HTC music player when playing music reduced sound automatically when you turn off the screen and its high and then back down again .. I go back and I run the screen goes up a bit, then back down again .. but when I use Google music player does not show this problem!!
i'm on stock jelly bean unlocked bootloder but not rooted..
what should i do to solve it ?
try to wipe data/cache for music player from settings>apps, although you should know that HTC's Music Player is kinda buggy and eats some battery....I too use Google Play Music because it is better for now...
My Note 2 is a completely stock version, no unlocking/rooting. Just got Kitkat update a few days ago.
I'm not sure if this is an issue caused by the update, I didn't use the music player in the day before
or after the update.
While in the stock music player, I will select a song to play and it starts playing normally.
When I hit the back key to go back to the list of music, the music freezes/skips for
a second, then resumes normally. Pushing back again or selecting a playlist to look at
also causes the pause. If I exit the player and allow the music to run in the background
it plays normally. But any time I open the app again, it pauses at every touch of the screen
and buttons.
I've done a few battery pulls, cleared all cache and data from the app, cleared the
cache partition, and Googled it to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated!

Did you try another music app to see if it's just that app?
Same thing was happening to my phone. It's the voice feature that causes to freeze if you disable it, it will stop that lag. To disable it go to settings>voice control>then uncheck the music option and that should fix the problem.
