Take a look at this wiki page:

It has info about most of the roms out there. If you want a nexus one-like rom, you are looking for a no-sense, aka vanilla rom. Some of the most recent would be aHero, Androbin, Vanillain, Darchdroid.
Install a vanilla Android 2.1 ROM like others said, then find launcher2.apk and install it to get the Nexus One home screen and launcher. It's buggy on the Hero, but it works well enough.
Good news for Ace Community, soon we may experience cyanogenmod on our phone at max, by the end of 1st week of August, or soon, or later, the dev gonna roll out the NIGHTLIES of Cyanogenmod 7 for Ace.
Hey said that the build is stable and will be testing soon..... as he is out of town. But he also mention that some of our member, i mean from the ace community, seem to have annoyed him. So i request u to keep patience and not indulge in such non-sense, un-ethic things.
Remember, they(DEVS) dont expect any thing from us, but still they(DEVS) work for us.

Dont keep your hopes up. This will not come soon since they are annoyed by some from the Ace community because of so many people asking when, when, when, when.
Seems like a lot of people are forgetting the one and only rule when it comes to ROMS. - "Never ask when."

I know. He's in my ROM devs circle since last week.
I'm so confused right now! Should we use the GingerReal or Cyanogenmod? From what i've read ppl sees these two ROMs as the greatest.

i think it would be not fair to say which rom to use but it depends on your taste
gingerreal will use stock rom as its base
whereas,
cyanogen will have its own base
Kolja posted a video on his google+ account.. the CyanogenMod on Galaxy Ace appears perfect! :O

Whats CyanogenMOD? Whats the purpose of it? Whats the advantages and disadvantages with the stock 2.3.3 KPN? Is it a standalone rom? or I've to upgrade to any gingerbread before upgrading to this ROM?

Just search for cyanogenmod on goole (Not allowed to post links)
Basicly it is one of the greatest custom roms for a whole lot of devices.

It has its own sources, totally independent of stock roms. That's why it's awesome and so anticipated.

It looks like a question.. Have you tried it? I think he's looking to see if it works on the sgsll.
soccerdude, try it out, it looks like they are looking for confirmation on what devices it will work on.
PLEASE make sure to back everything up, prior to trying it out

+1 Op should amend the thread title to reflect its the S3 launcher. Also if anyone tries this be sure you know what your doing. back up, back up! Make you you have a secondary launcher to fall back on in case things go wacky.
Maybe wait for some confirmations that it works before moving it to themes and apps section?

i have not yet. i am still getting cyanogen mod on my phone. i saw this while i was searching for information about cyanogen mod. i'm sorry if i have offended anybody by putting this here, i was trying to find out if it did work on my samsung galaxy S 2 SGH-I777.
i don't know how to move it elsewhere. I will stop posting here, I'm sorry

It's not allowed to ask a question like this and it's up to you to decide which you like best so you must try out different roms until you find something matching your tastes.
I for one like cm9,Resurrection Remix, neat rom Lite, slim jb, slim ics... It goes on, each has it's own qualities and demerits. I use one according to my mood.

Most probably no. My note 3 is on 4.4 but is still the old touchwiz. Not the one on gs5.
