Freez of Sound Pressure Level Regulation ist no Good Idea.
The Tab will hand up when use Volume Keys. Must be Reset hard with the little Reset Button on right Side.

The Warning come with the Lates Firmware R5A. Firmware 4.0.3 r1a have no Warning.
not sure why the US version has it. It can be a European Issue.
Set the Volume high and Play Music and Wait. After a while you see
Please Google for "Android volume warning"

I know the warning message from my SGS4, but on my STS (not xperia tablet S) with R5A there is no warning and no improved volume at all after keeping vol up pressed or press it a couple more times after you reach top volume. The only thing i got is the xloud setting in the audio settings which nearly doubles the volume. Might really be a local function for us devices, my austrian devices for sure does not have it.
Thanks anyway for the reply.
Keep on rockin'

The Warning come when you Play Music over Headphone Loud for a long Various Hour Time.
Not by keeping vol up
The most not Hear Music Long Time Loud. 1-4 Hour.

Very Low volume after Installing CM 6.1.3 Wolfbreak ROM!

Hi Guys,
I have installed the CM updated ROM by wolfbreak and everything went well.
But i have observed that the ringer, game, notification and games volume became very low even when set to high.
I have checked for sound settings in "Cyanogen Mod settings" in settings menu and set the db value to 1db0 where default was 6db.
Now the sound is ok...but still after sometime even when the volume is 10db,i cant hear the ringtone or media when i play the songs..the volume is very low.
Please....Please help me fix the issue!
you install the last update of wolfbreak?
Do you use Soundhound?

Any tweak or patch i can install instead of flashing the ROM as im fed up of installing the applications again and again.

soundhound is the culprit
uninstall it
then reboot ur phone
i think ur volume will b back

I do get the same problem as yours few days ago. The phone's volume just became very soft even if you set it to max in all the settings right?
Do you happen to have Alarm Clock Plus popped up whenever you charge plug your wall charger in?
Or did someone called you when you were charging the phone?
I am not sure what I did to fix it on mine ( I do believe I fixed it ). I just uninstall Alarm Clock Plus, reinstall it. And install CM Update v054.zip.
Been 2 days I am not having that problem now.
P/s: Oh hey FallenOut!

defallen
long time didnt see u in lyn
bt i didnt use the alarm clock plus
n i found the problem lies in the soundhound
download "audiohack v1.4" on ur android device . its work perfect and increase more sound quality.
I deleted my soundhound and my volume is baxk loud. How does it come that sounshound causes this? Is there any other app?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Shazam also causes this problem I think.
This is a known bug in Wolfbreak's Rom correct?

How to disable long press headset button activates google now?

Hi guys, I need a little help here.
On ICS I used to skip songs on Poweramp using the headset button, but since I upgraded to Jellybean, the long press goes to Voice Search on Google Now? Is there a way to disable that? I already configured on Poweramp to use the long press, gave it high priority, but google voice continues taking place and there's no options there to disable it.
Any idea?

If you install a headset button conytol app and set the sensitivity of the buttons to your personal need it works pretty good.
This app does not only control the buttons but also the app itself, like Poweramp,, but also online players like Spotify an Rdio. Free, no ads.

I've made the app which brings back long-press functionality for the button. Headset Remapper remaps “HEADSETHOOK WAKE” key with the “MEDIA_NEXT WAKE”. In other words when you press the play/pause/accept/decline button (the one in the middle or the only one in your remote) it will be “seen” by the Android OS as the SKIP button (next song).
Having this done you can use your button again with its full functionality (I checked that it works with this app: Headset Button Controller). Remember that you need to configure the SKIP (MEDIA_NEXT) button not the the play/pause/accept/decline !
This app needs ROOT to run!

I tried the app and it didn't work for me on a US Cellular Galaxy S3. I'm not sure why. I started it, granted it root, and it said it was successful when I made the change. I rebooted, and then tested it out and holding the button still launched Google Now. I then restored the original file with the app. Then I followed these manual instructions in this thread and rebooted. I need to point out that I do not have a sec_jack.kl file, so I only edited Generic.kl. After doing the edit by hand and rebooting, long press now works the way I want and doesn't launch Google Now. :victory: I use Headset Button Controller for assigning the functions.

[Q] First ever Sony phone

Hope I put this in the right forum, this is my first ever Sony phone and I really want to get used to the Sony way of doing things on Android.
I'm just wondering how to hide apps on the app drawer?
How to uninstall some of the bloat?
What is the likely hood of getting updates (Like 4.4.2 to 5.0.0)?
When on the phone the sound is really low, anyway of turning it up?
Questions do go in QnA so this is in the right place
Hiding apps i think there isnt a way yet exept GEM xposed module but you need root
Removing bloatware, some can be uninstalled or disabled via settings > apps and some you actually need root if the previous options arent avaliable
Xperia flagships usualy have 6 to 36 month update plans so very likely to get Android "L"
And volume can be controlled via the rockers on the side (changes depending on what your doing aka playing music they control media vol)
Or you can review and change all via settings>sound>volumes
This may be useful to you

Always some bug with my Xperia Z2

Hi,
I have been playing with my xperia z2 for over a month now, i have 2 major issues.
1. When i am in facebook playing video, it will then show up a message saying "Sorry, but an unknown error occurred while trying to play this video"
i have tried clearing the cache or uninstall facebook. The best result is for those video that cannot be played in the beginning, it now can play but problem switched to another video
2. when talking on the phone, background noise is always higher than my voice no matter if i turned on the enhancement to reduce the background voice. It will get even worse if it is off.
any solutions to that?
I agree with you about facebook video playback. It really gets on my nerves!!! But also if u r using streaming videos on ur browser also. Same problem. I hope they fix this stupid problem.
Also proximity sensor bug. The phone sceen blackens during a call but u actually accidently click things while ur phone is on ur ears.
One lousy bug is the sound. The phone's sound volume is very loud but at sometimes all of a sudden it becomes muffled by itself and gets so low!
The one i hate most is a bug with messaging. Sometimes it doesn't becomes sooo delayed when u try opening a msg or even doesn't want to open at all.
Another one is the hotspot. Sometimes it doesn't want to be enabled. U have to restart the phone to enable it.
I have an htc one m8 and it's more stable concerning software, but i really love my Z2.
I hope they fix these bugs esp. video and msg bugs!!!

to prevent the video playback issue.
Just disable the xperia for facebook. then the problem is gone. I have not seen the issue again.
However, during the phone call, back ground noise is always louder than my voice still persist.
My issues are the soft key buttons on screen. Doesn't matter what I do the home button and the recent apps button lag horribly!

Softer Notification sound after 4.4.4 update

I don't know if anyone notice that after updating to 4.4.4,everything is awesome so far except some issues that i just noticed after updated mine this morning.
One major issue im facing is the reduced sound for notification on messages, emails etc.
Volume is set to max yet the sound of notification is greatly reduced. When i tried playing the tones in the library itself, the volume are just fine. They are reduced when notification is received.
Restarting the phone does not fix it. Anyone else experiencing the same?
One more issue is the lowered frame rate in camera mode. Its not as smoother as before update. It lags just like the camera mode on iphones. I still can take well photos though.
UPDATE : i actually did a factory reset and the camera lag indeed disappear! love the fast focus. Or you can just simply clear the camera data in setting and that should do the trick.
Also regarding the notification sound, try to pick a longer and striking ringtone as they tend to sound louder and noticeable even in reduced volume. Using the tone called Soft Bells which serves enough sound of alert. It solves my problem for now. Overall im happy with this update
You need to do wipe data , install a fresh Rom with factory data reset
it is recommended when update from one android version to another like ( 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 )
hmm is there alternative fix option? because i do not wish to go through the hassles of restoring everything..

My Z2 has had really low notifications from day 1 ive tried every single mod known to man also hoped with each new update SONY would fix it which will never happen as the y wont admit theres a problem
If we cant root 4.4.4 how can we apply this mod ?
Sony DOESN'T need to admit as prior to the 4.4.4 update, nobody was complaining about notification sound.

I rooted 4.4.2, installed xposed and viper4android, I cranked up my volumes and all is well. With headset off, I can lower the volume to the last step and it's still pretty loud. Maybe too loud lol.
Anyway, root is beautiful and viper4android is just a requirement for me since my galaxy s3. Look into it, wait for a rooting method and just mess with those sound options for now.
There might be a patch if it's really that bad still.
I think I'll wait for updating to 4.4.4 Thanks for the heads up.

That is not true. On my .314 driven Z2 the notification sound is lower when I get a message or something(I actually tested the thing many times to see if I was right and I was) than when I play the same notification tone in sound picker in settings with media volume taken to maximum. Call ringtones, on the other hand, they work the same, be it settings or nomal day usage.
So there is problem and do little research before you say something that is not truth because many people complained about that. But we didn't spam Sony with it enough so they don't care.
clear audio +
is clear audio helping out? i mean to say that even if there is no xloud included , is sound louder in clear audio + ?
Those mods are for further enhancement and not a remedy as there isn't any existing notification issue prior to 4.4.4
What do you mean further research? It's a fact that notification sound wasnt an issue for majority of users before 4.4.4, maybe I shouldn't blanket it to everyone and there's a sad 1% who claimed to have notification sound issues.
