Hi people,
i want to post there this nice rom from AngeloM, from another forum.
This is the better rom for galaxy S2 that i've tried.
These are the features (clockworkmod most important):
Changelog ver. 1.5
Added GingerBread Remix theme 1.0
Added camera with improved audio (latest version)
Fixed problem Samsung Keyboard
Tweaked the 'apk for download from the internet
Improved script for SpeedFix.
The rom is presented without kernel: Who has already installed a previous version can only flash the rom using odin will not update the kernel.
However, those who have another rom, you must first install the kernel with Chainfire CWM 3.0.0.5, and then the rom flasher separately.
Changelog ver. 1.4
Video recording mode 1080p 30Mbit
Reintegration working Gtalk
Tegrak Overclock, Chainfire 3D updated and latest version
ADW Launcher included
Inclusion in order to use Winamp DSP Manager (with the stock music application will not work because it has its own equalizer)
Other optimizations and tricks
Changelog ver. 1.3
- new hack of the camera (with improved audio and video, as well as the ability to take photos or shoot video in any condition of battery)
- Gtalk to make voice and video chat even without wifi
Changelog ver. 1.2
- kernel XWKE7 stock with CMW and Clockwork 3.0.0.5 (thanks to Chainfire, XDA) modded with speedfix.
- code optimizations
- zipaligned
Changelog ver. 1.1:
- Kernel stock XWKE7
- Deodexed
- Rooted
- Busybox
- DSP Manager
- Browser
- battery circle framework with % and green google icons
- Launcher Pro
- Chainfire 3D
- Tegrak Overclock
- Quick Boot
- Home Switcher
v.1.5 (after flash look at this theme http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...ww.android-hilfe.de/root-hac...-sakaschi.html, because the one in the 1.5 version it's really terrible)

*****IMPORTANT*******
If you have a boot freeze or if you have troubles with rom installation, FIRST put on the device STOCK XWKE2 Samsung firmware, and AFTER flash this.
*******UPDATE******** 06/06/2011 h.23.07
I have posted new 1.5 version and an alternative theme. This version it's the better from the 1.2. Waiting for more news
*******UPDATE******** 03/06/2011 h.01.45
Angelom relased a new version of the rom, BUT many users, flashing this from an 1.2 or 1.3 version, gets a bootloop. At the moment i prefer remain with 1.2. Waiting for more info
*******UPDATE******** 02/06/2011 h.0.26
more later in the day, angelom promised a new version (1.4). actually the most updated version is the 1.3 that doesn't contain any great features, and i have choice don't post here because too much confusional.
*******UPDATE******** 31/05/2011 h 21.31

I was about to ask about this!
this rom include Launcher Pro that it's fantastic like stock gingerbread launcher
is it ok to post the source web page of the rom? if yes, please post it.
Looks very nice. Here's the original post (in Italian):
http://www.androidiani.com/forum/modding-samsung-galaxy-s2/48449-rom-ginger-deo-2-3-3-deodexed.html
Would you have to wipe before installing? Seems interesting
EDIT: OK it says you only need to wipe the cache. (Google Translate): "Wipe only cache required (you do not lose anything)"
any screenshot would be appreciated. thx is this rom better than the villionrom?
OK. Please post few impressions about battery improvements. It is all that I am interesting.
Yes, only wipe cache. I will put on some screenshoots later. Removing stock samsung battery life seems no more have "android processes" running out all battery

2 SamsungDive -> Will this still work with this rom? (like to trace my phone when lost)
Thanks!
why does this have such high quadrant scores? says 4163... without overclock
and DSP-manager doesn't work for me, does it work for you guys?

SamsungDive function you can setup in setting menu "Location and security" option "external functions" (translating from dutch menu). Probably the setting will still be there, but the moment you track your phone from Samsung's Dive web page some processes are started on phone.

thanks, i presume this is ok for .54 on an Xperia U also?
will this remove the relevant services? it's running services that's bothering me, only 512MB RAM phone is starting to lag quite bad!
not sure if it's better to freeze/delete the apks or use some startup manager to disable things on boot.

What is the point of removing bloatware? I mean, of course you save up rom memory, but does it really free up ram and prevent phone from lagging? For example if I don't use Timescape, live wallpaper and Japanese keyboard they don't use RAM right?

And one thing, after the reboot, I checked system/app, and found that some of the apk files were not removed. This has to do with the naming of apk filenames, some of which have capital letters in between. For example, SemcPowerSaver.apk and SemcPowersaver.apk...

but it's good to know that the list helped you
This is what I use on my Galaxy S4 along with the AccuWeather transparent widget.
You need a Rooted Device and Root Explorer.
Instructions:
-Download the GenieWidget.apk
-Open Root Explorer and navigate to where you saved GenieWidget
-Copy GenieWidget
-Navigate to /system/app/
-Mount system R/W
-Paste
-Set permission like the other apps.
-Quick Reboot or Reboot.
Really nice. Thanks!
Glad you like it! I just noticed it doesn't work on newer 4.3 roms. I'll try to port it this weekend.

Thank you so much.. Before i root this phone,my phone is always laggy. So i hope after rooting my phone it can be fixed.. Any advice anyone so the 'laggy' issue can be fixed?

Once you've rooted your phone, you can...
01. Remove bloatware (unnecessary apps that come with the firmware)
02. Use scripts to make the best out of your RAM

You might also like to unlock your bootloader to allow the installation of custom kernels. This voids your warranty, though. Good luck, fellow Gingerbread user!

Its your wish, if you want to install custom kernels then only you need to unlock the bootloader.
And boaltware are those system apps that you don't need but can't uninstall and they take up RAM and internal storage for no reason.

You can unlock the bootloader before or after root. If you'd ask me, I'd just unlock it and install a custom kernel, as most kernels come pre-rooted.
As for the bloatware, here's a list of them (not all are in this list, and you might not want to delete all of the mentioned):

You should rather post on the thread about adreno200. People there can help you better...:good:
Also unlocking bootloader allows you to install custom kernels on your devices and hence custom roms varying from gingerbread to kitkat...
I have used over 15-20 roms on my phone(xperia mini) and if you want a fast phone, my personal advice to you is either stay on gingerbread or migrate to kitkat.
Rest is all up to you... Its your phone use it and/or experiment with it as you want!
Hit thanks if i helped!
And yes I forgot to tell you one thing, custom kernels also supports overclocking your device that is you can run your processor at even upto 1.8Ghz rather than stock 1Ghz. This though would consume more battery but it would reduce lag.
Note that overclocking limit depends on kernel.

You don't really need to backup your data, rooting doesn't delete anything from your phone. Okay, let's make it simple - step-by-step. I'll post links after the procedure.
01. Root or unlock bootloader (I prefer unlocking the bootloader)
02. If you rooted, install CWM (ClockWorkMod) Recovery; if you unlocked the bootloader, flash a custom kernel (recovery is flashed along with it)
03. [Optional] Remove bloatware
04. Download the files from the "Adreno Booster" and "Disable CPU Rendering" threads (they are in .zip format) and copy them onto your SD card
05. Enter CWM, then choose Install ZIP from SD card (use hardware keys; vol. up = scroll up, vol. down = scroll down, home = select, back = back)
06. Reboot through CWM
07. After booting, reboot again (for Adreno Booster to take effect)

Adreno 200 is a GPU, and your ST15i has an Adreno 205. What you want to install is a mod that improves its performance.
