[Q] Launcher rotation hack, achieved but with bugs - help? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

So this thread in the general section got me interested in seeing what hacks were possible for rotation. Editing the SecPhone.apk enabled rotation for the in-call screen. A simple addition to build.prop permanently enables rotation in the lock screen.
Enabling the launcher to rotate is not too hard to enable but after enabling launcher rotation, the app drawer gets goofed up in a couple ways:
1) If the landscape integers/dimens files aren't adjusted, the default fifth row is cut off, showing only the top few pixels of each icon
2) If the landscape integers/dimens files are adjusted (in my case, to simply have 4 rows and the default 5 columns in landscape mode - the default 5x5 is still in portrait), except that when you rotate the device while in the app drawer, the settings of the first orientation are applied to the new orientation. (When the app draw is entered from either rotation, the proper grid settings are applied.
This is potentially problematic when switching from portrait to landscape. The question is how to have the launcher properly switch to the proper grid settings. I'm sure there is a setting I'm missing, but I don't know what it is.
Anyone have any idea on what I might be doing wrong?

[Q] Lock screen orientation in portrait

On my 70IT the landscape is the default screen orientation when autorotation is off. Is there any apps or tweaks that can change the orientation to portrait without autorotation?
I use LauncherPro as my homescreen (faster & more flexible) and it has an orientation lock setting. I can't tell you about the stock home screen since I'm waiting for Archos to send me my replacement A70...
Only launcher that will remain locked in Portrait mode for me has been Go Launcher. Launcher Pro, ADW.Launcher, and Zeam seem to lock landscape wise, even if you say portrait.
For this matter I use AutoRotate OnOff widget. You can find it in Market. Hope it works for you.
Widgetsoid!!
This has the best widgets I have seen...

[Q] Stop Auto-Rotate unless Keyboard is Up

Is there any way to prevent my screen from auto rotating UNLESS I have the keyboard up, my phone seems to like to rotate frequently when I only need it to rotate for the landscape keyboard.
I am unaware of a way to get it to just rotate with the landscape keyboard but you can download something like Widgetsoid that will allow you to put a "Auto-Rotate" toggle on your homescreen so when you want to use the landscape keyboard you can just toggle the rotating to "On" and then when you're done you can toggle it "Off".

[Q] disable rotation on home screen only

Hi,
is there a way to disable the autorotate just on the home screen? coming from Note 1 then Note 2; those 2 devices allowed the home screen's autorotate to be disabled but enabled on everything else.
thanks in advance!
I use apex launcher, much more custom settings for every aspect of the launcher and entire user interface.

I think I tried other launchers including this one. they always scroll your home screen's wallpaper and I didn't care for that but that might have changed. but anyway, i guess the better question is, is this possible using touchWiz ? thanks.
To disable Home screen rotation only with Apex Launcher
Set your global System rotation settings to Auto
Then in Apex Launcher settings, go to Behavior Settings and set it to Default
Now your Home screen will remain in portrait mode when rotated to landscape, but apps such as Chrome will rotate to Landscape.

reduced line spacing in Settings menu (Cyanogenmod 13)

Hi. I just installed Cyanogenmod 13 (Marshmallow 6.0.1) to my LG G2 (D802, International edition from Finland). Here is some issues that I have with it.
- there is far too much scrolling involved in navigating trough the settings menu. The line spacing between options is much larger than it was in stock Kitkat 4.4.2. Is it possible to somehow reduce the line spacing and in this way get more options to fit to the screen and reduce the need to scroll up and down...? Changing font size does not affect line spacing. Changing LCD Density under Display settings does, but it makes everything smaller and I only want to reduce the line spacing.
- is it somehow possible to get clock, status bar, pattern lock and camera button all to the same screen? Pattern screen has nothing else than the pattern in it.
- when in silent mode and all animations off, the camera app (snap camera) does not do any kind of shutter animation (even white screen for a blink of second). Is it somehow possible to enable a white screen shutter animation? In current situation I am not always sure after pressing a button if the phone did or did not take a picture.
- currently the gallery shortcut in Snap camera opens AOSP Gallery. IMHO in AOSP Gallery it is too difficult to delete pictures/clips. Is it possible to change the shortcut to point to Google Photos Gallery...?
- do you happen to know if it is still somehow possible to get Chrome tabs to recent apps. I liked that feature but Google has removed it recently. I wonder if there is way to use it even in newer Chrome versions...?
- any recommendations for using Facebook messages on the phone? I hate Facebook messenger app.
- any tweaks for maximizing deep sleep and battery life are welcome (I already disabled location history)

Recent apps screen orientation

Recent apps screen gets in landscape mode whenever any app in landscape mode is running even in background like camera app.
Is there any way to lock the orientation and it just change orientation according to auto rotation enabled.
