Hi,
I'm trying to run Android 4.1.X on vmplayer/virtualbox/gemymotion but I'm getting all this flash player related problems. On every website with flash content I only see the "no flash player/ air" icon. Puffin web browser crashes and I can olny unistall it because it won't work again.
Flash player it is visible in menu. I also tries dolphin browser.
First of all I tried "How to install android in virtualbox" guide on the androvm.com for ths topic. I also tried to remove flash using root explorer and then I instaled version 11.1.115.69 found on this forum. But no luck! Always white screen and no flash content.
Am I missing something?

Loving my gtablet! Installed vegan and the market and im rocking and rolling with one issue left to solve. So i downloaded and installed the latest version of flash, but in firefox and the stock browser no flash videos will play. They show a link to download flash, which leads me to their site saying the device is not supported. What am i doing wrong here?
Firefox doesnt do flash. I am not sure why the stock browser is not working. What flash did you install and what rom you running? In the settings of the stock browser do you have plugins enabled, off, or on demand?
Info
Flash version is 10.1.120.1
Running VEGAn-Tab v1.0.0b5.1.1
thanks for your help!
Uninstall that 10.1, look around and get the more recent Flash 10.2. You can get it from freeware lovers if you dont have the market set up... Also, not sure about Firefox, but with any of the browsers make sure you're looking at the site in 'Desktop' mode
Got it to work!
Hey it works! I had to fool with the browser settings and install the version of flash recommended and i couldn't be happier! thanks you guys. this is an awesome community.
Can you post the steps you took to resolve this issue? Ie, 1. Uninstalled Flash 10.1, 2. Went to Market, searched for "Flash 10.2", etc. That would be helpful for other people that have this problem (especially what browser setting you had to change).
I know that Flash is bundled with VEGAn 5.1.1, but all of the sites I go to say that it isn't installed (or need higher version than 8 or 7 or whatever).
I went to the market and it doesn't list Flash no matter how I search. Shouldn't 10.2 be listed even though 10.1 is installed?
Thoughts?

I couldn't see Flash 10.2 until I did the market fix.
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Press the 'All' tab
Scroll down and look for 'Market'
Clear Cache, Force Stop
Return back to the list and look for 'Google Services Framework'
Clear Data, Force Stop
Now go to your Market and it should error (that's normal)
Reboot and load Market back up and Flash should be there
I did the Market fix 3 times until I could see it.
But that might not work for everyone. In that case you should look into this:

I still cannot see flash videos on sites like espn.com. it just shows a picture instead of the video.
I have done the market fix a number of times and still don't get Flash to show up. Grr...
Maybe I will try a few more times for good measure or try the alternate method mentioned by Hachi2go.
This method worked on the first time when I needed to get the Facebook app.
I was unable to get Flash with this Market fix up.
To frustrate me more, my co-worked just tried this easy fix and Flash just popped up for him. Grr...
I had to go to the other thread and change the device ID in the build.prop file.
it seems that Flash, for me, is malfunctioning. If I enter just any website which has flash content, it always tells me I need Flash Player to view that content. I know Adobe said they'd drop the android support, but it was my understanding that Samsung still would include Flash in their Jellybean update? I even tried installing a Flash apk I know works, but neither the stock web browser nor Chrome picks it up.
Chrome does not pick it up since it's unable of using extensions.
Are you sure you included a complete APK (best results are from ones exported from ICS-phone)
Try an APK from this forum, you should find several uploaders.
Flash works flawlessly on stock Browser in Jelly Bean
IIRC, the .apk I've been using came from the Nexus 7 forums and was said to work witg Jellybean. I'll scout the themes and apps section and see if there's one which works.
EDIT: By the way, does it matter if the .apk is installed as a user app or system app?
Hi friends
I have bought a new Tablet, karbonn ST 8 with Android jelly bean as OS. As I am opening YouTube. com in my browser, the video component is not playing, I can only hear the sound. I have used both the Stock Android browser and preinstalled Google Chrome.
Under setting > application, I can see Flash player 11.1 installed, but still, the problem exists.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Jellybean 4.1 does not support Flash, but is there a workaround?
Well, it seems that the trouble is with the OS itself, Adobe has stopped providing Flash compatibility with Android JB. So, is there any workaround? I have searched and tried different methods including one of the Flash packages available here. But as soon as I try to install the flash package, I receive a failure notice, informing that there is already another package installed of the same signature. But still, I can not play any YouTube video in my browser.
Is there any work around of this problem?
Thank you
Hi - We have two Galaxy I9100 S2's - both are Unlocked, Rooted, and running Jellybean 4.1.2 I9100XWLSD_I9100OXXLS6_I9100XXLS8_NEE (the Nordic build)
I visited a web site in the stock browser that required Flash, and discovered that Flash is no longer available from Google Play
I found that Flash will work on JB, if you side-load the .apk
So, I download Flash from http://d-h.st/x4v, installed it, re-visited the web site, and the Flash video played ok in my browser :good:
Problem is, after following the same procedure on my wife's phone, her phone will still not play the video
I've tried re-downloading the .apk, also copying the .apk from my phone using WiFi-Direct
Any ideas why it works on one phone and not on the other ?

Don't know which version you used, but try this one.
Thanks - won't be able to try it until tonight though
Once I got my hands on her phone, I noticed that she'd increased the default font size, and also activated the browser's Incognito mode
I un-did those two settings, and installed your Flash .apk,
and it's working now :good:
-Thanks
This ain't actually a guide but just a sharing of facts.
As of some time I always missed flash support in current Internet browser's for JB, and all the workarounds by installing a modified or really old version of other browsers like an old version of dolphin browser did satisfy my need of having flash BUT it was dreadfully slow or quite not like how it was when in GB or ICS and using ancient crappy browser's was increasing the pain of using flash.
And when almost all hope of decent browser experience with flash was lost, I came upon UC Browser and I happened to be in a site that required flash, and the browser gave me an option in the space of the flash video to install a plugin(please note that I had uninstalled flash player before, since I got sick of flash) , I was like "well whatever I tried every other ****" and when I clicked on it, it gave a toast message of plugin downloading and sure in a couple of minutes I was prompted to install Adobe flash player and after the installation the page refreshed itself and there was blue play button now and on clicking it the flash video loaded without any delay and that was the beginning of my best experience with flash in JB, so guy's why don't you try it out? Just go to Play Store and Install UC Browser and go through something similar like I went through.
Also note UC Browser uses a specific build of flash player 11 so uninstall flash player if you have it installed before doing anything above.
And yeah Dolphin Browser latest doesn't support flash in JB, Firefox detects flash but takes forever to load, Chrome never supported flash.
Edit : I recently found out that UC Downloader HD(the tablet version) doesn't prompt us for installing the plug in for some weird reason, so in that case use this version AdbFs10_V11.1.115.47_Android_pf145_(Build13022810).apk of Adobe Flash(which you can download from the Adobe website), or you can install "UC Downloader for Android" (intended for phones, and yes it works in tablets too but HD feels better) and follow what I did above.
