Do you have a working sd card. TWRP will see external as well as internal storage. Place sd card into computer , download rom onto card, place back into your galaxy then boot back into recovery and flash from sd card.

If you have a rom in your computer you can adb sideload from recovery and will flash.
Probably too late tho since you replied 4 hours ago lol

Can't find where ROMS on my SD Card are

Rooted and using TWRP recovery.
I know where the ROM is on my SD Card, I just can't get to it when I'm in TWRP. I can get there using Astro so I know its there, but those folders don't show up when in TWRP it seems like. I've fiddled with it for hours and can't find it, driving me crazy.
Going to try and take my SD Card out and download the ROM directly onto my phone and see if that works.

I believe with TWRP there is a selection for "mount" which allows you to search internal or external storage. Try switching it and see if you can find the ROM that way.

You need to mount the sdcard in the options in TWRP. Once you do that you will see the files

If you put the rom directly on the phone then it should show up.

Personally I never had to mess with mount. I just used the ".." link to keep going up a level until I got to the root, then drilled down into "sdcard2" YMMV

Are you rooted?
Are you on about the CWM or do you mean the stock recovery without root?
hi
was rooted, but all back to stock now.just tried to put jb zip on,then seen no internal sd.
andy
You need to root the phone first mate. Then once you have got CWM then you will have access to the internal memory and the external sd card partions of your phone mate.
Hope this help

great that you got it working, i would recommend trying to s-off your phone just because... so flashing rom's and fixing problems if any happens in the future will be easier

[Q] SD Card won't mount in recovery

Hey guys, I am rooted/unlocked running Jelly'Beans' Build 11 (going to build 12 tonight) and for some reason I can access my SD card while the phone is running normally, but when I boot to recovery it says I cannot mount the external SD to flash a file.
I get around this by just using the internal storage, but this is not ideal. Can anyone give me an explanation of why this might be happening, or maybe tell me how to fix it? Thanks!
either a bad sd card or you need to format the card to fat32.

If it were bad or formatted improperly, would I still be able to access and use it under normal phone conditions? I use it to save my pictures to, and I can access it from the phones file browser as well as when it is plugged into a pc.

cwm recovery does not recognize exfat. you will have move your files to a pc then format the card to fat32 if you want cwm to recognize it.

I tried switching to TWRP, but under the supported devices in CWM it only lists the Note 2 HSPA. and I am obviously on VZW. Is this ok?

Just download goo manager. Open the app, hit the menu key and select install recovery. It will download the right one

This method worked for me. I am on a Galaxy S4 SGH m919. I stumbled upon this posting by doing a search. I was having a problem where my SD card is working but it wouldn't mount in recovery, so I couldn't restore back ups, of flash anything. I only had this problem after I had flashed Google Edition 4.3. I still don't know exactly what caused it, but this recovery TWRP did the trick. Thank you so much for helping me out!!

may have screwed myself (s4) just now..

went to flash a new rom and was running low on storage space so i went into twrp and wiped everything including sd card and internal. So the catch is i had the new rom i was going to flash on my external. now im pretty sure if i exit twrp there will be nothing for the phone to boot on too.. and i have no way of putting anything on my sd card..
what can i do?
Use adb and a computer to push the file onto your phone. There should be a setting in TWRP to allow the phone to be seen by adb.

A usb card reader could help. Or find a friend with a phone that takes sd cards.

This is definitely the next best option if you're not comfortable with adb.
