[Q] Music Player that uses 15MB RAM or Less? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, yeah... Can anyone suggest a Third-Party Music Player that only consumes about 15MB of RAM or less (if possible)?
Cause I have a 301MB RAM (140MB Available), and my Stock Player (Apollo) uses about 18MB (Using CM9)...
Apollo is quite good, but it lacks tweaks and customizability (if that's even a word ), especially for Widgets
So, uhmm... Anything?

Try miui music player or omich music player . Omich have good widgets

Thanks mate. Will try those
But I guess I won't be going with MIUI Player, since I have V4A as Audio FX... And the App has issues with MIUI Player, so maybe I'll try that Omich thing

The "X10S" Rom by Championswimmer has the new Xperia S player wich enables you to "Like this track on facebook" by a simple touch on the album cover while the song is playing. Plus the sound quality is great!
I haven't try feravolt rom so I don't know wich player it is but you can find both stock and xperia S music apps in the "themes & apps" section.

Alternative music app seekers look further introducing Xenoamp

Hi guys this thread was originally because I was looking for suggestions for alternative music apps to try that fitted with these prerequisites:-
Free (don't mind trial as long as features testable)
Integrate with system sound effects
Simple, don't care for lyrics/visualizations
Themes would be nice
I have found Xenoamp available in the market, which even has integrated beats control.
Follow the development thread here

Hope you enjoy as much as I do.

Poweramp for me :highfive:
Have you tried the Sony Walkman? I find it nice

Apollo (default music player of CM) is pretty decent, worth giving it a try
The word alternative seems to have been missed, thanks for the suggestions but looking for something s bit different.
Apollo. Walkman and poweramp are great, but they are also the ones most other players are trying to be

Apart from that I used Player Pro -

i have the same prerequisites...a player which uses the system sound effects...i dont want a built in equalizer...i use dsp manager.
google play music, rocket music player(free), ttpod and apollo are some players that can use system effects.
Google play music and apollo integrate with system sound effects seemlessly...while yhe other two also work if the built in equalizer is disabled.

I really like mort but it will only use its internal eq.
Cubed (3) works well with internal eq, but playlists are buggy

Win amp. I don't think it matches all your pre requisite, but still I suggest it.

PowerAMP or TTPod
MortPlayer FTW !
I find MortPlayer is the best that suits me. The playlist is folder based, much simpler to organize. It's very fast, and importantly the coolest feature is you can skip/rev music/album just by tapping the key on your headset/bluetooth headset, not even touching your phone.
i use powerAMP, even bougth it ^^

If you love your MUSIC
I am a music lover having Yamaha Music System and if you combine ThilianaS Walkman with Music Eq 1.8 it become really treat to ears.
Although PowerAmp is also a good music player having bass-treble with eq control almost at par but you have to loose a decent money for that.:silly:
If you have expensive earphones like Klipsch, Shure, Sennheiser, Denon you surely can go with Thils WM as it has most of the features plus very good sound quality.:good:
Excellent Bass effect with Clear bass+MusicEQ 1.8, good channel separation, less distortion, good surround effect and also has a fancy visualizer :good:
Works on Stock based ICS (not tried on AOKP or CM)
Sony Walkman 4.0 by ThilianaC is the best if you got better please PM.
I tried flashing thilinac walkman mod on cm9.. fail..FC but im not leaving cm9 for this! in love with this rom!
For me, the best audio players are:
*PlayerPro
*Jet Audio Plus
Both have excellent audio, great DSP pack, and folder Navigation.

Motorola Stock Music Player

Hello Guys,
Do you remember the stock player which came with our defy? The player which had integrated Tunewiki lyrics service.
I have never ever went to any other player that this one as this is just great.
You download attached apk file and run it on your device. It works with all version of CM(might be working with other versions as well but never tried).
Enjoy.
Sam
Thanks for sharing!
It's better than the sick Apollo.
thanks

Xperia Ray? Thats strange, whenever i tried installing this software on any other manufacturer phone(including Xperia) than Motorola, it used to give me errors...
Also Works perfectly n SGS2 2.3.6 Stock Rom?
Everything good as they used be on my ex-stolen/lost Moto defy(i still miss my defy & 1 reason being the Music player which displayed tunewiki lyrics perfectly) ...Now everything seems to work the same in my SGS2( including FM,Shoutcast/videos-youtube,etc) but 1 gripe is the all "white" colour interface, which i don't like( or is it only me?). Can we have a black theme interface for this ?
Anyway Thanks for the share !!!
Works great on MsGinger 4 , thanks is going to you
Sent from my MB526 using xda app-developers app
Thanks for that!
It was really great until I needed more support of formats.
many "compact" players now support FLAC ALAC and AM4 ,M4A , WMA
ty anyways for the share
thank you! do you know if there are other players with lyrics? (not tunewiki which can't find any)
Yes, I installed it because I remember the lyrics (synchronized) feature, but now it does not recognize any lyrics!
I check my tunewiki account at it is ok.
any widget for this player, i love the player output, better than powerpro or the others ...just the player is not having any widgets that i know of

[Q] What music player for 512MB RAM phones?

As in the title, what music player do you use?
I use Apollo. It's simple good.
But in MoonWalker 3.5 is nice widget for Walkman

Walkman is way better , gives you the freedom to change cover, name, album and other stuff and also is easier to deal with .

i use walkman too....
I was using pure AOSP music player:
Pros:
Ram friendly
Simple but nice ui
no lag at all
Cons:
Less options than any other player
Now i am using Apollo music player:
Pros:
Ram friendly
Really nice ui (with themes, pickers and stuff)
no lag at all
a lot of more options!
Wifi sync on albums and stuff
Cons:
Nothing at all.
Remember if i helped you press the :good: button!!!
On stock based roms WALKMAN is always better but in case of custom rom APOLO music player is nice with good ram management along with bunch of features.
You may go for ANDROID MUSIC PLAYER that uses least ram and gives froyo look.

Apollo is the best! Low RAM, nice ui and fast
Yeah
I have a LG Optimus L7 (look it up, really not a high end device, single core processor and 512 RAM) running on KitKat Prime ROM and overclocked, and I use Poweramp (you need to hack/patch it or pay once to use it for more than 30 days) and it runs quite smoothly on my phone, plus it does have nice features and a pretty decent UI. I hope this can help.
Till now im only using Google Play Music. Dont know why i used it. Hehe.
Sent from my Xperia P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
well, it depends too, for fast and low ram i think Apollo, but if for the beauty, nothing beat Walkman..
Walkman is leagend !!!
nothing stands against it
