Making a word for word duplicate of the thread you made yesterday is against forum rules. As mods will be deleting this thread shortly, I recommend you bump your thread from yesterday & wait patiently for help (And only bump once every 24 hrs maximum).
And as I said in your other thread, you're either not searching or not searching hard enough if you can't find threads on how to root this phone given how long ago it was released.
As stated please do not create duplicate threads.

Hello everyone,
I received my sg2 the other day and was wanting to root it but am a little confused on what processes i need to do. i have read through several different tutorials on how to root this device but each one is completely different and have left me stumped on what i need to do to not brick this awesome phone. mainly because each tutorial i have read through has all i9100 information while i havent seen a i777 related insecure kernal, or rooting thread. here are the details from my phone:
PDA: I777UCKH7
phone: I777UCKH7
CSC: I777ATTKH7
Build info: Sat Aug 27 04:39:06 KST 2011
if anyone would be willing to help me out, i would greatly appreciate it.
thank you

Tip: When getting a new device, before asking any questions in the device's relevant forum (you're in the right place), read all sticky threads before posting a question (you haven't).
thank you for pointing me to the stickies. for some reason they were not showing up while browsing with my phone. i will have a go at rooting this phone tomorrow if i get time.
Hi!
Since installing MIUI there are Google Apps missing in the Syncronisation for my Google Account, Picasa, Google Plus, Google Music. They don't appear under Syncronisation and I can't activate it in the apps.
My phone:

Baseband: I9100XXE7
Kernel: 2.6.35.14-g4e35117-dirty

Are you asking me that? I was trying to be funny, since what you did was "funny".
Google sync problems with MIUI in Android Development section.
So I made a mistake and posted in the wrong section. Sorry, delete!

This should be my first try to root my SGS2 .
I began with watching root videos and figuring out which is the way to go. I ended up with this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCgncF59mwE
In the tutorial I needed to download an "Insecure" Kernel, so I went to the refered Link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619525) and followed to the site with the kernel versions(http://d-h.st/users/LyriquidPerfection/?fld_id=2886#files).
I searched through all of them but I couln't find mine so I searched on this forum for threads with the same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1909611
In this thread I should look at my BuildNo. but my Build called "[...]XWLSD" is not in the list with the Insecure Kernels!
Another thread included a link to this Kernel(http://www.gokhanmoral.com/) which should fix this problem, but as I am a real noob in Phone rooting etc. I can't tell if it is true.
The Question: Which Kernel should I get?
I really hope you can help me on this problem, here are my Phone-Specs:
Kernel: 3.0.31-889555 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 31 14:48:54 KST 2013
Build: JZO54K.I9100XWLSD
Android: 4.1.2
Model: GT-I9100

Sorry but I couldn't find any threads by searching after "Flash Stock firmware/ROM + Root", Flash Stock firmware + Root and "Flash Stock ROM + Root"
Could you please post the link to the related thread here?
Um, no, I will not.
If you can't find the thread stickied 8 threads above yours in Q&A, you shouldn't be messing with your phone in the first place. If experience is any guide, you'll probably break it.
hi guys and gals, can anyone point me in the right direction? looking to root my sgs2 kernel version: 3.0.31-889696 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT KST 2013, but cant find my kernel version anywhere on the forum, was told to use CF-Root-SGS2_ZS_OZS_KF4-v4.0-CWM4.zip but my phone wouldn't restart, just sat on the samsung screen with the yellow triangle, have recovered phone from this screen with PhilZ-cwm6-DVLSH-NZL-5.08.5.tar.md5 and seems to work fine, the reason i want to root is my phones system memory fills up by itself and the only way to alleviate the problem is to factory reset, but was told if i root the phone there is a setting to fix this problem. any help is appreciated. thanks

thanks for your reply, and sorry in advance for the noob question, but there are so many kernel versions to choose from and mine looks nothing like any of the others, could you possibly post a link to the right file for my phone? baseband:i9100tdvls3 kernel version:[email protected]#3smp preempt mon feb 18 kst 2013, its not CF-Root-SGS2_ZS_OZS_KF4-v4.0-CWM4.zip, or am i doing something wrong?
You're not reading the CFRoot thread carefully enough for starters (you also don't revive an old thread & ask the same thing you've already asked in this thread you've created). Flash a custom kernel like Siyah or even PhilZ. Which version ? Read the Siyah or PhilZ threads to determine which version you need to flash for the Android version you're currently running.
If you still really want to use CFRoot, read the section under the bit in bold red that says 'Help! Which file do I use ?'. Read it a number of times. Carefully. There's no trickery or ambiguous language involved. It's really very simple to choose the kernel you need from there (The only hint I'm giving you: It doesn't have to be an exact match with your current kernel/build number).

Nah, just follow the instructions in my Helper Post to get a custom and rooted Jellybean ROM running on your device. If you want to move along to Kit Kat there's specific methods to follow, and those methods are outlined by the guy or gal that cooked the ROM you wish to try...
