Is there a way to make an app icon being tapped look like it is being depressed? I just noticed that none of my homescreen/ app drawer icons have the depress animation when you touch them. It really bugs me.

Maybe?

Im pretty sure AOSP does this but I am against AOSP. Iphone also does this. TW is awesome besides the fact my icons dont look like they are being pressed.

I never noticed that the TW launcher didn't do a pressed graphic. Nova does. Themes may change it, though. The theme I use does a glow on the home screen and a fade in the drawer.

Hey, I was wondering how do you add apps to the launcher at the bottom by the app drawer buttons the home screen? I took out messaging and internet by accident and now I don't know how to add it back, thanks

Just drop and drop when you are in home screen, so make sure the apps are on current home screen (I'm pretty sure I don't use TW launcher)

If you are still using the stock launcher, I would highly recommend to change it. You won't have to root just download it of the market. Best launcher for SIII is Nova. Try it, it will let you have 6 icons vertically on the screen and so much more.
Good luck

Anyone installed Nova launcher yet? Coming from a GNex I think that would be my first order of business. Any performance issues, resolution problems, etc?

ive been running nova for over a week now, and it runs like a champ
I tried to deal with sense for about 4 hours yesterday... App spacing is atrocious and that dock is fugly and you can't change it to anything remotely attractive... Installed nova and doubt I will look back until maybe a desense Rom is developed

I got mine today and set everything up before loading nova back on. Nice and smooth as always.
Best thing is, the locksreen shortcuts are what is on the sense dock. You can set those to anything, then go to nova.
Anyone able to get wallpapers to scroll??
I'm trying Nova, but many of the Sense widgets are missing. I wish there was an app that would allow 4x5 layout on the stock setup. Does anyone know of anything like this? 4x4 just looks silly on such a large display.

Doesn't Apex do that? Set the grid to 5 x 4 in the home screen settings

He wants to use the sense widgets, but can't with a different launcher.

Can one of you clever bastards make a transparent drop-down menu mod?
I know there's a theme in the Play Store that gets you this, but I'm not crazy about the red accents. Or the fact that notifications are also transparent.
Anyway, if somebody could look into this, it would be awesome.
Also, I use Nova if it matters.
Thanks!

It's a styled app drawer used by some third party launchers. ADW Launcher has this feature built in.

I can confirm this does work with the recent 4.1.2 deodexed rom. It does however kinda scrunch the touchwiz launcher at the dock. That is why I'm running holo for the time being. Anybody know how to modify the touchwiz ui for the navbar?

Also if there's a way to edit the brightness of the navbar?

Also noticed that the navbar cuts off some apps. Example. The phone app it cuts off the 3 bottom buttons

I'm sure people are way ahead of me on this, but Nova Launcher is much fassssssssster and much more customizable than stock TW.
Agreed. Combined with minimalistic widgets and simple text, it makes for a very clean launcher.

What are you using for theme and widgets? Specifically, I want to find them on play store, especially the text and call notification numbers
Never mind, pretty sure I got it lol

Not faster than TW, have you compared the two? TW opens apps quicker the moment you tap the icon.
That lag is very noticeable and I also use the page indicators to select a particular page in the app drawer.

I love using nova on this phone, apps and whatnot don't launch faster but that really isn't the point of a launcher, I just love doing what ever I want with the launcher, and the cool extras/animations nova offers are nice too.

Just compared the two and I don't see the lag on my phone. The page scrolls are much faster on Nova, and at least for me the app launch is the same.
Actually, I prefer Apex over Nova, better customizations and more options. And a cleaner lookkng menu. Imo

I started using Apex when ICS or JB first launched, can't remember, anyway, Nova hadn't updated so I went to Apex because it worked. Nova caught up and I went back, and while I can't remember what it is right now, there is one feature I must have that Apex doesn't. I still have Apex backed up in TB and restore it and check for updates but that one thing is never there.... Damn, I'm gonna have to restore it now so I can remember what that was. Also, the only thing I remember it having that Nova didn't was more transition animations.

Possibly the ability to change the app info in the app drawer.
When it comes to apex, im big into my themes (downloaded over 20 of them) and I like how the theme engine in apex changes everything, where nova you must change every detail yourself.
