Hello ..
can U help me Plz
Ive SonyEricsson Xperia Arc S .. I couldnt run the bootloader on it
I opened the bootloader with Flashtool and Got the code and told me it was successfully opened
put it doesnt work >_<
Pressed the down Vol Button While booting
nothing happened
and installed an app that rebooting in a bootloader mode
but after all that
it just booting into the system directly
no bootloder at all :'(
Please help me and sorry for bad eng
So let me give a wild guess, by opening bootloader u meant unlocking bootloader, and by couldnt run bootloader on it u meant couldnt get into recovery. Heres the thing:
1- bootloader and recovery arent the same thing.
2- by unlocking bootloader wont automatically make recovery appear. U either have to install recovery from xparts or flash custom kernel that include recovery.

flash a kernel with inbuilt CWM. then install stock ROM via cwm
Hello guys.Im new in this foroum and a newbie on android.I have a question and i would really appreciate if someone could answer.I have xperia neo v with 4.0.4 android and 2.6.32.9 kernel.I have rooted my phone with this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514
So here is my question.I want to flash a custom kernel to my phone and either with flashtool or fastboot tool it gives me an error. It says that the phone must be rooted first.I have unlocked bootloader.Thank you in advance
Why following that over-complicated tutorial, and mess with flashing GB then this, than that, when there is easier tutorial(s) on our general section..
Not sure how you unlocked your BL, but it's still locked. Actually maybe you unlocked BL, but your fastboot is still locked, which is more likely since you say that you unlock BL.
btw. please edit your thread title, to reflect your problem, so that other peoples can find it easier, if the get same problem.
thank you for your answer my friend. Now on the bootloader mater i used the secret code and says to me bootloader unlocked:yes. So the bootloader is unlocked for sure. Can you please tell me how to unlock my fastboot?
ok guys problem solved. It was the bootlader at the end.I miss understood and i thought that my bootloader was unlocked
simply if you have unlocked bootloader just
1.connect neo in fastboot mode by pressing the menu key for 2 sec and then connecting it with usb cable when the phone is switched off now the notification light turns blue now leave the phone.
2.open flashtool and press flash button
3. choose fastboot mode to flash kernel
4. on pc a screen opens in which you can see in right side by doomlord there select SELECT KERNEL TO FLASH
5. after that browse for img file of the kernel and select it and flash will be started u can see it in the main screen after flash is completed wait for 2 sec and disconnect the mobile from the pc, waiting 2 sec restart the phone ur kernel will be changed!!!!!!:fingers-crossed:
note- keep an eye on the correct kernel you choose for the correct rom!
Hello,
I have a Xperia U, and I found a nice ROM for it, MIUI. The problem is, that it needs to be in recovery mode. I tried all the ways to get there, but it keeps failing. I did it with ROM Manager, Quickboot and just via the buttons, but it keeps just booting normally. I know that my bootloader is not unlocked. Is it nessecary that it is unlocked, for it to go in recovery mode?

Usually these roms require unlocked bootloader. But sometimes developers manage making these roms for lock bootloader also
I just found the thread for miui based on locked and unlocked bootloader.
Check it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190205

Okay, but now I have another problem... If I want to unlock its bootloader, it needs to be in fastboot mode or something. It will only turn the left led blue. Then I should install drivers. The problem is, that it won't stay in fastboot mode long enough for me to install the drivers. Am I doing something wrong??
Pls help me.

No mate. you are not doing something wrong. You have to be really fast. You can try another method too. Right click on computer and click properties. Open device manager. Now connect your phone on fastboot and when you see your device on device manager screen do the magic and install drivers.
This is the tutorial on how exactly unblock bootloader. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159.
Remember that unblocked bootloader means void warranty!

There are many ways to get your phone into working condition.
1. The first thing you should do is, try repairing your phone through PC companion.
2. If your fastboot mode is working and have unlocked bootloader, try flashing stock ftf ROM into your phone via flashtool.
3. Try flashing recoveries via fastboot and then clean reflashing ROM
Let me know if you have problem with above

pc companion can't find phone
flashtool (emma i found it on sony site) is not supporting xperia m
Is there any specific error, when you connect your phone to computer?
Try factory resetting phone through stock recovery. It might help you.
Hi all, i have a problem.
As the title explains I'm stuck on the boot logo, with no indication of the device going into recovery mode ( - volume pressed down several times). My phones bootloader is locked, i've tried using flashtool to install a compatible ftf but for this to happen the phone needs to be unlocked. My question is are there any alternative ways to unlock a bootloader while the phone is off or in the boot screen? Thanks in advance !
I dont think that you need unlocked bootloader for flashtool.
You just need working drivers and correct ftf file.

i'm using flash tool provided by Sony called "Emma" which requires an unlock. Could you recommend an alternative flash tool program that doesn't need this requirement? I have the drivers and ftf already waiting.
