Does somebody know how to get rear camera working.
I am running E975 rom on E971 but i only got the front camera.
Is there some fix for it.
I tried many E975 roms they work pretty good but this one i am running now the rear camera wont work.

I believe its because the 975 has a 13mp cam and 971 has 8mp cam different drivers for each cam

Now i am running a f180l rom with 13 mp camera and its working perfect i can select 13 or 8 mp. but on another rom with 13 mp camera the rear camera dont work.
So i thought mayby there is a fix.

You have to flash e970 kernel or e971, e973 than your rear camera should work.

Was wondering if there was a rom out there that has both cameras working but at full 5mp & 1.3mp respectively and not low quality like in cm10.

Any current up to date custom ROM and stock ROM has camera working. This variant of the tablet has a 3 MP shooter. Pictures look fine to me on CM10.
I just installed camera app and gallery app jb 4.2 it works on our hox+ too...but it is because special design to one x....the option for front camera is only I,3 mp....any body can make special for one x+.which is 1.6 mp..I appreacte it...but for now front camera only 1.3 mp but back camera 8mp...

i tried on sense...works...dont know about cm 10
Every developer of Xperia u trying to port jelly bean to our device.bt till now there is no success in front camera.
Can anyone make this possible? Rear camera is working perfectly then why not front camera!

I was using cm10.1 with working camera on my xperia u, then aplied the front camera fix and didn't work. So I decided to flash stock ICS and now any camera works. this is driving me crazy, because if I flash back to cm10.1 the rear camera works again...
So my main problem is that front camera isn't working with the fix on cm10.1, but in ICS any of them.
Any ideas?

Dude, I was facing the same problem. After flashing the ICS FTF, flash CM9 or SlimCM. At least your Rear Camera would work for sure, don't know about front

With CM9 my rear camera works. Front still doesn't. I'll take it to service and see

look, you need to understand one thing, OUR CANVAS HD COMES WITH AN 8MP CAMERA, AND ALL THE 13MP CAMERA THING IS NOTHING BUT A GIMMICK..I am not sure if u have used any ROM with a 13mp camera on your A116, but if u havent then let me tell u there is hardly any difference that the human eye can spot..its just some changes with the binary that makes it say the camera is 13MP..the more obvious difference is in the size of the photo..the 13MP camera messes up with the photo so much that its size considerably increases without improving the quality (and it eats up a lot more space)
one test u can do to understand this is take a photo with 13MP camera, and another with 8MP camera (change it from the camera settings)..then compare the two pics by zooming in..you will see the 8MP photos are far better than 13MP..
PS:I dont blame u for not getting this entirely..I myself wanted a ROM with 13MP cam, but after reacding extensively about it and trying it myself, I am happy with the 8MP cam of my current ROM

Then why do some roms add the 13 mp patch as an additional feature if it s all a mess up with image..
