Relock your bootloader by using Hasoon's All In One Toolkit. There's a thread for it that provides the download. You can also use it to flash your Ruu. As long as you can follow instructions you will be fine. If you need any help, just ask.

Don't waste your time it's not a hardware issue. It's just your battery being faulty. Pick up an Onite or Anker replacement battery on Amazon and you'll be fine

The battery was most likely the root cause. My Amaze also had a similar problem and kept losing power, failed to reboot, and sometimes would not even turn on yesterday. I was quite surprised because HTC just gave me this new device as a replacement about 2 months ago. But I realized the battery is more than a year old. After replacing it with an Anker battery, it has been very stable since. Now I think symptoms like losing power or unstable power supply are mostly battery related.

Constant rebooting x10

Hi guys
Im not new to custom roms cwm ect.
However i am new to xperia
I have flashed a friends phone with a custom rom i have rooted the phone unlocked bootloader and am using doomkernel
This was all in aid off fixing a boot loop problem
his phone was still running android 1.6 i updated it initially to the latest official version using pc companion
This is when the problems started the phone just reboots itself repeatedly as soon as os has loaded and the lockscreen has appeared phone just reboots and repeats
i have then installed custom roms kernels ect. all with the same outcome i cant find a real solution to this other than disassembling the phone and baking the motherboard in the oven ?
Seems like a strange method but then i said that when people were using towels to fix xbox's
The towel method for the Xbox was a bandaid, not a fix. And a poor one at that.
Try using the stock kernel.
from the research i have done this appears to be a motherboard overheating problem yet i don't feel and heat coming from the device
Ive tried stock rom stock kernel
custom rom custom kernel
bootloader locked/unlocked
miui/stock/cm
if i leave battery out for 10-15 mins the phone will stay on longer
but once it reboots first time it will stay on for 5 mins then reboot stay on for 3 mins than reboot again ect. till it just turns on and off every 20 seconds
I know why it reboots constantly ...
Because you posted in wrong section

reflash it back to a stock 1.6 rom then jump to 2.1 and root is and all that good stuff

Put the phone into airplane mode and tell me if it happens again.
You will need to flash generic 2.1 using flashtool then update to 2.3.3

ive installed a custom rom on it initially it was still rebooting every 30 seconds but now that battery is fully charged and mem card removed it no longer seems to be happening
im going to format mem card and try see if it works seems to be when battery level gets say 35% or lower it seems to happen ? weird
But as soon as i do any processor intensive usage it will reboot soon after

This has been driving me absolutely crazy ive ordered a new battery off ebay £2.50
I will be over the moon if this fixes the problem but at the same time pissed off that it was so simple after 50+ rom/kernel flashes lol
Just seems strange that it only happened when updated the rom officially from 1.6
To be fair the phone had been lying dormant for several m, months beforehand
I APPRECIATE ALL THE TIPS AND ADVICE GUYS I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON OUTCOME
I had the same problem and I sent it for warranty and they changed the board.
Good luck.
ok guys got the new battery absolutely no difference at all still rebooting looks like its bin for this one as its out of warranty and will cost more to get repaired that it would to just get a new phone

[Q] i9100 won't turn on or charge, just black screen

Hello everyone....
i tried to flash a new rom on my i9100. But in flashing process, it stopped responding and after 15 min nothing happened. So I disconnected from computer and took out battery and tried to reboot my phone. But my phone is not turning on at all.... Even it can not charge, I mean when i plug it to charger, Nothing happens, not battery logo...Nothing
I tried to soft reset, taking out battery, waiting for 30 mins and then put it back. But its still the same, like a fully dead phone....
I even replaced my battery with a fully charged one but .....No response at all..
What can I do? my guarantee has expired and I couldn't find any way to recover it through internet.. can any one help me?
Thanks in advance.........

[Q] Flash international firmware instead of branded? (Also random reboots)

Greetings!
My mom has a Galaxy S2 which has some rebooting problems (it randomly reboots once or twice a day, and loses a lot of battery as a result?). I am thinking this is because there is a firmware problem (although it could be hardware too).
I wanna try and flash the international samsung firmware on the phone instead of the 3 Denmark (Three) branded one I currently have on, and see if that resolves the problem. I am not sure if I have the right branded firmware either, since I tried to edit the build.prop file when I left and managed to get my device stuck on a bootloop while I was on a 12 hour plane ride (now without music lol), and I flashed the only 3 branded firmware I could find.
So, can I turn this into an "international version"? And why do you think it reboots?
Hi, I don't know about rebooting but your mom phone(battery) has insane fuel gauge chip(everyone has it) that chip takes battery level ... sometimes it adds battery level.
Maybe try to flash xxlsj jb leak ?
Regards,
Paulius
Spoiler
XDA the best
P.S. Correct me if I am wrong
Yes, you can. About the reboots, see if the international firmware helps.
Attached is a picture of how I lose battery, can someone give me a link to the international firmware version? Maybe not the most new one so I can install it and have an OTA update so I know that works. All the CSC codes and stuff makes me confused.
Do you think this is a software or hardware problem?
Also, how strict is Samsung about rooted devices and RMA?
Thank you very much!

I've flashed this ROM and still have the fuel gauge issue, It goes up sometimes when I unplug my device
Still, great batt life.

Thank you, but I did not want the "beta" build, I wanted the international ICS build (hopefully the one "before" the latest one, so I could OTA to the latest one to make sure that worked)

This is not that beta.
I was on ICS, tried JB leak and trust me, I'm never going back to that ROM.
Anyways, It's your choice, I just layed it out there for you.
Can I flash it via the stock recovery? Can I revert to ICS or does it patch like bootloader and recovery too?

JB? try Odin.
You can always go back to ICS if you want to.
In all honesty I really just want a firmware version I can flash via stock recovery then update via OTA or KIES. This is my moms phone, I will play around with custom roms and beta releases on my Nexus 4 when it's done being repaired
Actually the major reason is that I do not wanna flash another bootloader and stuff like that if I have to deliver the phone to get repaired. Then it's gonna be a pain to return for repair

ICS 4.0.3 Unbranded is your best bet. Just like a out-of-the-box device ready to get the Jelly bean update via OTA/Kies.
I have downloaded the file from Sammobile, it contains two files:
I9100XWLPG_I9100HTDLP4_I9100NELP4_HOME.tar.md5
SS_DL.dll
Do I flash this via ODIN or what? Don't I need more files for that?

(Q) Problems flashing ROMS

I have problems flashing Roms I dont know what could be the reason. Couple days ago my SD card died I bought a new one I tried to flash the new version of Tweaked I forgot to made a back up and for some reason my phone will get stuck on the "Galaxy note 2" screen or return to the TWRP menu I tried to flash at least 5 different roms and same results the only one It was able to boot was Clean rom 3.1. I updated TWRP to the latest version and still having the same issues if any one can tell me what to do I will appreciate it

You do know first boots take a while right? You should wait up to or at least 10 minutes for the first boot of a rom.

I'm actually having a similar, if more limited, problem. I recently tried flashing P.A.C. rom onto my Note 2, but it would just hang on the galaxy note 2 screen. I left it for more than 10 minutes without change. However, after that I tried flashing Cyanogen; which worked just fine.
I'd greatly appreciate any tips on how to figure out what's going wrong.

And now it works.
So, I seem to actually have things working now and I figured I should give a quick update.
Before, I was using a nightly of P.A.C. rom, because I didn't see anything more stable at the time. Now I've switched to a milestone rom and it boots just fine. At this point, I think I'd pin the blame on a glitch the rom I was trying to flash; given the fact that Cyanogen and the current iteration work fine

[Q] Split screen after installing CM 10.1 and 9

I have followed carefully (twice) the instal Tut's for both CM 9 and CM 10.1 however I have a screen problem and hang on start up.
When turning on the Atrix 4G (MB860) it seems to start Ok saying Unlocked and the Red M logo shows in the middle, as normal.
Then suddenly the screen seems to split into segments so there are 2 Unlocked texts at the top and an M in the middle at he very bottom, and two half M's either side. The phone hangs at that point.
Any ideas please ?
thanks

Thanks for that feedback. I tried again but it is still doing the same thing. I even went for a walk around the block to give it time
do you had full wipe?
Correct yes.
Via the Advanced section I did a Cache, Dalvik, System etc etc.
Then I installed the CM-9 same hanging situation.
Full wipe again via all items, then I tried 10.1 same hanging situation.
I have Unlocked the phone, and I did also Root the phone, but what if the Root didn't work, would it hang like this or do something different. I guess what I am asking is, can I check the root worked, or can I assume it worked if the install gets this far anyway ?
thanks
And i bet you're on a 3.1.10 kernel and if you turn off your device and plug it into charge, the battery meter doesn't flash. Am i right?

First off, you should really update that recovery. 4.x recoveries have been long since retired. We're now on 5.0.2.x up to 6.0.4.4
Second, what exact rom are you using (meaning state the file name of the rom package you are using)?

CM10-10.2 is JB. CM11 is KK. Why you would flash KK gapps onto a JB build is extremely confusing.
That build is using the 3.1.10 kernel. To see that, go to options>about phone.
Boot logo and charging meter (as mentioned in my previous post) are related in terms of the kernel. Fix one, get a glitchy image on the screen for the other. Normal, and already discussed across all 3.1.10 kernel based roms.

..."Why you would flash KK gapps onto a JB build is extremely confusing."... If you're confused then imagine how I feel Just kidding.
I am absolutely new to all this so apologies for my lack of familiarity. I'm flying by the seat of my pants here. I'm trying to catch on as I read posts around the place.
So as I read your feedback I should ;
a) upgrade the Recovery to 5.x or 6.x (not sure where to find these)
b) locate CM10-10.2 JB or CM 11 KK and use the appropriate gapps (JB or KK)
glitchy image doesn't worry me at all, I am just keen to get a V4.x of Android installed so I can use this phone for some other security development that needs Android 4.x, otherwise I have to splash out $150 to buy a new phone which I'm not keen on doing.
It would be nice also to have the fingerprint working on the upgraded version. I saw an addon for Beanstalk somewhere and the developer said that installing that apk would activate the finger scanner. That said, I don't really have much of an idea what I am talking about, just what I have gleaned reading postings. I am 59 years old and with a bunch of old school IT like IBM mainframes etc behind me but am new to all this upgrading of mobiles
If you could steer me to any links that would be great.
thanks

Its all good, we've all been there (being noobs i mean)
The 5.x recovery can be found by going to the general section, the thread that has may 16th in its title, and clicking a link in post #1
The 6.x recovery can be found in the new CM10.2 thread (the one not done by epinter)
This is the only Android phone with fingerprint technology (to the best of my knowledge). Most stable on 2.3.x, however it does work on 4.0.4, although its more hit or miss at that point. I've got my Atrix 4G still and i'm running AtrICS v2.0 (Nov 2012 build) with the home button fix and the latest kernel released by krystian (10 Feb (haven't checked development at the time of this post)). Fingerprint for me does work.
Beanstalk is a JB ROM, i believe based off of the old kernel (2.x). I don't recall if that one had the fp working or not.
If the 4G can't do what you need, the A2 and AHD, both which succeeded the 4G, are both available for under 150 on amazon (my AHD was 134 after tax and shipping)

Thanks for that info. A quick question - I see one of the Recovery versions says : CWM-Recovery 6 for Galaxy ACE GT-S5830. Does that mean it is specifically for that model and I need to find one that actually refers to the Atrix 4G MB860 ?
cheers
Good News ..... It's working.
It seems the issue might have been the Recovery app / version. After updating that to 5.x and reinstalling the OS it ran like a dream.
I started with AtrICS v2.0 as you indicated and that worked just fone although for some reason WiFi was not being detected.
I then reformatted etc and installed cm-10.1-20131211-UNOFFICIAL-epinter-olympus and it's all looking good, including fingerprint.
Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.
cheers

Yes you did need to flash a CWM designed specifically for the A4G. AtrICS can be tricky, sometimes, but as long as you installed the main ROM, then the Vendor zip, you should get wifi. If you want to use the 3.1.10 kernel, flash the home fix zip thats in that thread, then upgrade the kernel as needed (highly recommended if you chose this option).
Glad to see you were able to upgrade, and no problem.
