I installed JB 4.1 custom rom by BLU ... I dont know what happened... i lost my IMEI... They have mentioned something like I have to backup the IMEI and all.. I dont know.. i have not done that and now I have lost my IMEI... What do I do now ? i tried restoring back to the Stock provided in the 4.1 JB forum 14th page. Kindly help me out... I want to get back my IMEI somehow so that I will be able to use my phone. !

Hey , I just flashed a new rom and sadly I just found out that I have no connection and it shows that my IMEI is unknown , I don't really know what to do now. I'm downloading another rom right now , if that doesn't solve the problem can anyone help me?
Please read the stickies before posting and please provide details. Because without details the solutions are based on assumptions.
Assuming you flashed a rom through recovery and didn't muck about with LGMDP/KDZ, then either
a. Flash an old baseband rom OR
b. Change the baseband to the new one using your preferred method, then flash the rom you wanted.

I had the same problem recently, I'd be able to help if you could tell us:
1) What was your old rom?
2) Have you tried updating your baseband?
Hi everyone ,im a android user for about 2 years , and i used to have motrola`s and htc`s ,and now i own a goregeous s3 international version,already rooted and runing rom (omega).
I use to help my friends with theyr phone (rooting or updating through odin,etc) but recently ,i received alot of *unrooted* and stock firmware s1 and s2 ,who shared the same problem , after the ota updates (the legit kies way) they had problems with baseband and imei.
And i had a lot of work to do to get them working again ,the s1 was fairly simple but the s2 was a pain in the a** .
While im a pretty monthly flasher ,i was thinking to do a backup of the efs folder for myself (curently i only have a backup of the firmware that was on my phone when i got it a cwm backup).
I don`t know if the efs is in the cwm backup)
If not ,i really want to backup it ,just to sleep well at night ) ,any suggestions how to backup the efs on a s3 ?

Install K-Tool by Hellcat from Google Play and make a backup of th EFS folder or use adb. Look here for adb instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1689623. After the backup save a copy on the pc.
hi frnds, i m new to android world n xda forum so plz understand my lil fault. i bought a cheap chinese smartphon based on chip mt6575. i rooted the device, after that i install titanium backup and maked full backup of user n system data. i was just removing system bloatware apps thru titanium unitsalling, accidently i removed important system files too i got some error msg unexpected error somthing lik, then i removed battery and trun on again, now phone not booting just showing a logo of company.

UBOOT VER: 2010.06

all you can do now (since you didnt make a nandroid backup of your rom) is to find your firmware/supported custom rom for your device and flash it.

thankx for reply, i have just titianium backup system+user data, will it work? sory if i asked wrong, i searched but i only found gt i9000 mt6575 custom rom not found for my device, wil this work on mine device too? coz mine also mt6575. can i flash with it

Since you have deleted a system app you cannot boot up your Rom and hence you cannot get access to titanium backup. I would suggest you dont try to flash the roms from other devices as it may cause bootloader issues.
I would suggest you to take your phone to service center and get it repaired.
Btw how did you root your phone ?

hmm i bought it from china market so no servicecenter here, anyways thnx bro, i rooted with "root with restore v17" annd installed pdanet driver n app on pc.
hello guys,i have a s3 ,i installed neat rom with 4.3 and then i had a problem i was conected to the network and when i made a call it didnt work.
i flashed the xxemg4 modem worked then i installed the s4 revolution 9.1 but i had the same problem i installed again the xxemg4 modem but it not works,i flashed then a 4.1.2 firmware with odin,but i had the 00499******00 imei problem i flashed a 4.3 rom i had back my imei,but i can make calls
i made a efs backup,but i cant restore i,its a tar.gz that the neat rom made before flashing,but i cant restore it.so any help guys

Your emei is stuffed if it starts with 0...
Dont go replacing /efs unless last resort. You need to flash a stock rom in odin. If your on 4.3 now just flash stock 4.3. That should get your emei back. Dont worry about baseband. It can be whatever as long as you have emei. Also check you have an APN as that is often reason for no calls.

Need your help, I download righ now a ANDROID 4.1.2 (I9300UBEMH2_I9300UVOEMH1_ARO.zip), but i have a question, the kernel and the MODEM.... If i change in 4.4.2, kernel and modem from 4.1.2, sure sure brick this.....
