Hi everyone,
i rooted my Phone early this year - had problems and finaly get it working again somehow.
I can't use the OTA Updates from T-Mobile anymore. Can i get back to Stock, so that i can use the normal T-Mobile OTA?
I don't need root anymore (maybe i havent anymore at the moment - i don't know).
Can you please tell me what to do, to get it back working?
My Phone at the moment:

Edit: i have a cwm nandroid backup from version 1.28.111.6, will the ota work, if i flash the boot.img and recovery.img from the backup + relock the bootloader?
Edit2:
i have flashed an nandroid cwm backup from tmobile - flashed the stock recovery.img and relocked the bootloader. now i can use the normal ota's.

Thanks

Hello to all,
I've been searching but as i'm noob in this, i have to open new post and hope to get some help...
I recently bought an EVO 3D (according to information on "phone identify" is model X515m) that have this:
*** LOCKED ***
SHOOTER_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT -1.49.0018
eMMC-boot
Oct 3 2011, 15:03:01
The Software Informations shows this:
Android version: 2.3.4
HTC Sense version: 3.0
From what i seen on other posts, this phone is locked, so if i want to change firmware i need to get S-OFF and make it UNLOCKED...
My questions are:
1. Since i bought this phone on ebay and don't have Portuguese PT-PT language, can i change firmware to have Portuguese?
2. Does i already have the last firmware?
3. Should i upgrade to another firmware that is improved? Battery with this one don't last much.
Thank you!

The other is without SIM card right? My phone have SIM so yes, gsm.
No before you can s off you need to unlock your bootloader via HTC dev first

And you once you've unlocked your bootloader and installed a custom recovery then you can download the ruu from football he has all the ruu's for the EVO 3d GSM and CDMA

Ok, just find his post... now i just need to know the right file to get...
Other thing, is possible for me to make a backup from what i have on the phone in case something went wrong?
Concerning the unlock i've already searched and i think i can do it.
Thanks
No s off will come second first pay a visit to HTC dev this is where you will unlock your bootloader and once that is done you will need to install a custom recovery and then you can flash a Rom

ok, i've managed to get the phone unlocked but now i can't obtain S-OFF
The revolutionary way don't work on my phone because i have HBOOT 1.49.0018 and they only have 1.49.0008.
The 4EXT Recovery Touch way, i download the file but i don't know what to do with it and even if this will get what's needed to install a stock ROM that have Portuguese language...
Can you please give me some help on this?
Thanks...
--------- ok, i think i have it done with 4EXT Recovery --------------
Now i just need to choose and install the new rom
Hi guys, I am new here, and a more or less newb when it comes to rooting and modding. I had unlocked my Rezound, and installed REZROM v2.5 (my device is still S-ON). I updated it with the S-ON kernel, and flashed in the GSM Fix that Joel had posted in his thread to make it work on GSM bands.
But I can not make calls whatsoever. Whenever I open the dialer and press one number, the phone hangs up and reboots. Happens when I send an SMS as well. I got the sms, the phone rebooted. I tried to receive a call, the phone again rebooted.
I flashed in the PKMN ROM on this, but the problem continues! Please help!!
What firmware are you on? If on gb firmware, you need to flash old firmware patch

How do I check my firmware version?
In the boot menu? Since my software information part on the phone does not show it. It shows other info, like Baseband, Kernel etc.
This is what the HBOOT menu says on my phone:
*******UNLOCKED*******
VIGOR PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.11.0000
eMMC-boot
Thats the old firmware.
There is a patch floating around you can flash, or you could S-Off then update the firmware.

Hallo Guys,
I bought an Amaze few days ago, has GB on it and i'd like to update it to ICS. I purchased the phone in Europe (Hungary) as brand new, carrier free (unbranded) & SIM free, actually I use a Vodafone SIM card in it.
I tried to update the phone in the About Phone menu --> Software Updates, but no updates available.
I've reed the following post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1637314
and downloaded this ROM: RUBY_ICS_35_S_TMOUS_2.14.531.3_Radio_1.14.550L.17D C_30.78.550L.15_release. As I got it right I have to rename this to PH85IMG.zip, place on SD card, boot to bootloader and the rest will be done automatically.
I proceed accordingly but the phone sais that the phone type is incorrect. So i didn't got updated my phone.
I've checked lot of posts but didn't find any info regarding unbranded Amaze ICS update. If is it not necessary I don't wanna root the phone, only to got ICS update.
Attached you can find a picture abot my phone's bootloader.
The actually software status is the following:
Android version: 2.3.4
HTC Sense version: 3.0
Software nr: 1.60.707.3
Kernel: 2.6.35.13-g4a1059e

Baseband version: 1.13.550L.13DC_30.69b.550L.101D
Build nr: 1.60.707.3 CL324941 release-keys
Please help me to have a suitable solution on this problem! Thanks guys!
Your bootloader is the ICS version, so you get where I'm going with this right? Do you know how to use ADB?
Hi. Thanks for your replay. I didn't understand this exactly: "so you get where I'm going with this right?"
I used ADB on my previous phone (HTC Desire), but I'm not an expert, just followed some descriptions in a post.
So it's easy to perform the ICS update with this bootloader? How can I do that?

Nope, it won't be easy, what I'm saying is, your devices bootloader version is the version that you get when you update to ICS. Therefore it's kind of saying your device is already on ICS, but you say it's GB, If you know how to at least browse with cmd to your adb folder, then boot your phone into bootloader, choose the fastboot option, then on your pc and use the command: fastboot getvar cid and let me know what it says, that way I can tell you if we have any kind of files for your device or if you'll have to s-off in order for you to get the ICS software update on your device.
Hi. Many thanks for your kind help! I try to perform your instructions and let you know the result
Until that I made 2 shots about the actual system.

What do you know about unlocking your boot loader and rooting?

hallo Guys.
Earlier I done s-off & root on a HTC Desire with Revolutionary. Now I have a HTC Desire HD, here I also did s-off & root with Advanced Ace Hack Kit but after that I was stupid and tried to perform eng s-off (as I remember with one click something) and my phone died (I had a friend in the store and he has taken care on a main borad change as a warranty repair).
Now I bought this Amaze phone for my wife and I don't wanna kill also
Honestly I do not know what this bootloader unlock is because before I do not neeed this process. Some questions regarding those what I do not see clearly:
- I don't know what is this CID HTC_044. Why can I not simply have the OTA update in my phones menu?
- It is dangerous to perform s-off (hope not eng s-off only "normal"), supercid & T-mobile RUU? Besides now this phone is SIM free. If I would perform all these things then after T-Mobile RUU would be the phone still SIM-free?

Because your device does not have an ics update, the only way you can use the T-Mobile ruu is by s-off then supercid, every device had a cid that is written inside of it, T-Mobile cid and your cid are not the same, therefore you cannot use the tmobile file. You have to unlock your boot loader if you intent to modifiy the device in any way. If you read and research a bit, watch some videos and learn your way around this device, it wouldn't be anything complex.

OK, I understand. Then I will research and learn about these procedures. Just 2 short question? If I perform all these with T-Mobile will my phone still SIM free? And (maybe stupid) question, this CID is written as a hardware info in the device? I mean there is no way to change only this and after that just use the phone's update menu for ICS?

Yes,it will still be sim free. No you can't just change the CID, to do this you must first disable the security protecting it.

Hallo Guys,
So far I've done w/ the followings:
1 - unlocked bootloader (w/ HTCDev)
2 - installed custom recovery: clockwork-5.0.2.6-ruby.img (w/ Hasoon2000's Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V3.2)
3- rooted (w/ Hasoon2000's Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V3.2)
Now I'd like to do the S-OFF and before perform this I have here a short question. I've unpacked the ControlBearRelease_ruby_GB_WIN.zip and seen a file: hboot_8x60-lte_1.90.0008_20111101_signedbyaa.nb0
additional to that an info file writed inside
modelid: PH8511000
cidnum: T-MOB010
mainver: 1.43.531.3
hbootpreupdate:12
DelCache:1
DelFat:0
As you know my phone is unbranded & my actual bootloader version is 1.92.0000
So at this point I'm not sure but I think that JuopunutBear S-OFF would "downgrade" my bootloader? Would it be normal, will it not brick my phone?

Yes, this is the stock boot image from the O2 OTA update but I think you have to flash the whole O2 RUU from here to return to stock. First you have to lock your bootloader at HTC-Dev and then flash the RUU I think...

I was trying to S-OFF my HTC One using moonshine's method but could not get it to work properly.
As you will see from the screen shot (attached), its stuck there and doesn't go further.
I have gone over the guide multiple times. Fast boot is unchecked , USB debugging is checked, ADB and fastboot drivers are working.
I am currently using a T-Mobile version HTC one with the following software information:

HTC Sense version: 5.0
Software Number: 1.27.531.11
HTC SDK API Level: 5.12
Baseband version: 4A.17.3250.20_10.40.1150.04L

Pretty sure u need soff to do super cid
Or anything further than just unlock and root.
You may be able to flash the older 1.27.531.8 Rom and then try it since the bootloiader wasn't updated.
If your on 1.27.531.11 you have to downgrade with a Rom or ruu
Don't quote me but I think people have don'e this to get soff
