[Q] OBB and APK file question - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

I am trying to install a game on my phone, but ran into a little trouble. I am putting the apk file on my ext-sd card and then put the obb file in the internal storage sdcard>android>obb folder and the game works fine. Problem is i dont want the 1gig obb file on my internal storage, I want it on my ext-sdcard. So, i removed the obb from the internal storage and put it in a folder i named obb in my extternal sd in the android folder. (same directory as my internal sd, except it the external sd). The game now wont load. Does the obb file have to be in the internal memory or am i doing something wrong when im trying to put it in the external sdcard?
thanks

are you on AOSP ROM? Does your computer show files on the external SD card?
It might in Removable folder?
Try look for it, im not sure
Are you going into /sdcard/external_sd?
That's where mine is...
I have this problem on my Original Galaxy Tab running ICS Alpha 3 ROM. The /sdcard/external_sd/ is empty. In my case, the external sd is mounted on /mnt/emmc/, which can only be accessed through Root Explorer.
Thank you mate, I just got an SD card yesterday and got baffled where it might be Too bad xda app doesnt support thanks feature :-(

Cant access SD card on CM9 nightly

Yeasterday I finally flashed CM9 and so far I love it but I have a rather annoying problem: I can't mount and access SD card from file managers. On the other hand, apps that use SD card (PowerAmp, Titanium backup, Apollo, Gallery etc.) read data without a hitch.
Right now, the only way to access the SD card's files is to take it out my phone and put in computer...
Please help...
Edit: does it have something to do with the fact I replaced CM9 kernel with Siyah 3.3.1.?

on aosp roms, the external sd card is mounted as /emmc/ and not /sdcard/external_sd/ which is why that folder might appear empty in file explorers

How come on the S3 Rootexplorer does not see the ext sd card? It only sees the internal sd
Sent from my Galaxy SIII
Go into the /mnt directory and look for the folder titled extSdCard.

I was looking for the same thing. I think its the way Samsung has labeled the internal memory as an SD.
Using the My Files app the SD card is labeled as extSD. Maybe Root Explorer needs to be updated.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I may have a problem with my external sd card. When I plug my phone into my computer not everything is showing up. For example I have 395 pictures and only 23 are showing up in windows explorer. A couple other folders are not showing all the content either. Now, on the phone itself using solid explorer I can see everything that is on the card but on a handful of files the file extension is messed up (a pic has an extension of .jpg7673.jpg and when I change it I get a popup that says I can't rename because that name already exists). I have a class 10 64gb SanDisk formatted in exFat using Windows 7. Any solutions?

[Q] External SD card problem.

Hello,
I did bought orginal Samsung mincro SD card 32gb class 10. I did put inside to the phone and first what i did after phone did show me space 29gb i did format it from phone options in settings of storage. After format i did reboot my phone just in case. Now i did plug in phone to my pc and all do work fine. My pc see Internal and external storage on my phone. After when i did copy files to my external memory of my phone and do unplug micro usb i cant see my external sd card on my phone. In apps like winamp/RockPlayer/BSPlayer/ES File Explorer...all what i can see is only sdcrad which is internal memory. I cant see external memory at all.
Best thing is when i do put movie anywhere on external sd card by usb/pc and run build in samsung app "Video Player" its see video form external sd! I dont know whats going on and i did have S2/Dell Streak/Note and never had problem like this before.
Any help would be nice.

Thank you for link but i dont need data transfer. My problem si why i cant see external sd card in any of apps. When i do swich on winamp there is music from external sd card, when i do swich on build in video player i do see videos form external sd card but there is no way i can explore external sd card using any of explore apps or any other app where you can search files by folders. There is no Root folder or mnt.
Oki small update. I just did give a go to one more app "Root browser lite" and i can see all folders and sys files. Looks like problem is with moust of apps which can't handle way of G3 works with external sd card. I'm right?

Yes you're right. The s3 and other devices that have like 16/32 GB internal memory uses part of it for system and the rest is mounted as "sdcard"when infact it's internal memory. In addition to this sdcard there's the real sdcard which is mounted as external-sdcard. Many apps are programmed to look for only sdcard and not ext-sdcard. For such programs creating a symlink using the above tool that I posted will help it "see" contents/folders of the ext-sdcard.
As you mentioned some programs can and some can't browse/see ext-sdcard - if it's absolutely necessary, creating a symlink is the only option I can think of.
