Google PlayStore without flashing Gapps! - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Friends I always avoided Gapps as they are RAM and battery hoggers but I also missed the PlayStore as that the only reliable source for applications.
But today I found this awesome work by Marvin, now there is no need to flash heavy Gapps for Google PlayStore, below is the original thread:

Play Store & Facebook stuttering in custom ROM's

Hello everyone
I noticed that with MIUI, the stuttering in the Play Store as well as in the Facebook application are virtually non-existent whereas when I use a custom rom, the Play Store or Facebook have severe sturrering problems.
With a custom rom, I tried to activate the scrolling cache, modify the kernel, etc ... it changes nothing while with MIUI it works correctly.
Where does this problem come from in custom roms and how to solve it ?
I use the latest build of NitrogenOS with Radon Kernel.
Thank you in advance for your answers !

Google Services Framework - how to use apps that need them without any GApps

Hey there.
I am not a novice to Android but by no means do I understand how it all works in the background. So I need a little help understanding something that to me is not so obvious.
I have a phone, Huawei P8 Lite, which I haven't installed any GApps after I flashed a LOS 14.1 rom.
I mostly use F-Droid apps on it but occasionally I install a random Playstore app using Aurora Store (fork of YALPS).
Now, while most stuff on F-Droid is pretty seamless to install&use, the same is not exactly true regarding Playstore stuff which usually mentions the need for Google Services Framework (GSF) if memory serves me well. And since I don't have GApps, I don't have "GSF".
I know that some apps that require "GSF" still work apparently fine without "GSF".
But there are some other apps that mention requiring "GSF" and that actually fail to work. Regarding these latter apps, is there any workaround to make these apps work without installing GApps?
I know there's a pico and nano version of GApps, but even those install stuff on my phone that I really would rather not have installed in there.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Installing youtube on an old Samsung phone

I have Acer A500 with Android 4.0.3
I'm trying to install apk Youtube 11.01.70
Youtube won't run without Google Pay services
Google Play services is not present
I try to install apk Google Play services 14.3.69. When I try to install it, it tells me there is a problem parsing the package
Any more ideas?
Because you're using an outdated version of Android.
So it's not possible at all? I thought for an old version of Android I just had to find the right old version of the apps (apk) and installed them.

Even if you did that, it'll ask you to update your apps.
And you can't manually just add all the apps you need? (like Google Play Services in my case)
I find it surprising that this old Android cannot go back to the state it was 10 years ago, if I can get the same software (apk)
In general, the problem parsing the package means that your system software is too old to install that apk file.
Can't you upgrade your Acer A500 system software via OTA at first?
On the other hand, does your mobile phone system really have no built-in Google service framework?

Thanks for the idea. I have never done something like that. Where can I find a OTA image for A500? If you have any instructions for installation it would be also appreciated
Thanks for all the answers. To clarify:
I had Google Services Framework 4.0.4-278776
I just installed Google Play Services 8.1.04 (2215451-036) (036) (successfully, as per indications in this post)
I had install Youtube 11.01.70
When I try to run Youtube tells me that there is a newer version and doesn't go further.
This tablet won't run anything past android 4.0.3, at least without some hacks. With hacks this will run with android 5.1, thus allowing the installation of YouTube.
