[APP/MOD] life.contacts beta Xperia Z theme - Xperia Arc Themes and Apps

Hi,
I hope you guys haven't lost your memories about the old "life.contacts beta" widget which was released by Sony Ericsson in 2010 or 2011 era.
I've modded the 1.4.2 version of it in order to match its design to the Xperia Z "Top Contacts Widget", so it won't look so outdated.
Moreover, this widget also serves as a proper replacement for the "Top Contacts Widget", 'cuz this widget won't appear in the Honami launcher from Sahaab or maybe others.
This app is no more beta, it's final and has been deflowered by me! xD :angel:
Don't update this app in the Play Store, or else you'll have the 1.4.6 version, which has no online support anymore and also recommends to you to download the Xperia S "Top Contacts Widget". You'll also get back to the Sony Ericsson designed widget, so you'd better leave it be! :good:

What you need to do first is to download "TopContactsWidget.apk" from the attachment.
Then you gotta insert this .apk into your SD card, which .apk has to be pushed to /system/app with a root manager.
In the end, you have to change the app's permission to RW-R-R.
If all the conditions are met, then reboot.

Yes, it'll work on ICS, JB and on GB as well. Just push this app to /system/app and fix permission with a root manager! :laugh:

I use the phonebook from Anzumi rom.

Try to use the Xperia Z1/i1/Honami Phonebook.apk from DdcCabuslay (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2394754)
or the Xperia Z Phonebook.apk from the attachments of this post here.
Both of them work on my phone, perhaps it should on yours as well, if you try.
The old Phonebook, which is the black one from the 2012s requires InfiniteView.

I think my current phonebook from Anzumi is pretty much the same as yours since it's also Honami port from Sahaab and DdcCabuslay. I'll give yours a try.

Can't get it to work?
Hello
I know this is an old thread but I'm writing in hope it still gets looked at
I've put the .apk onto my SD, moved it to the system/app folder and checked the permissions are rw-r--r-- but when I run it using Package Installer or Google I first get a message that says:
Replace Application
This is a system application
Do you stil want to replace it?
All previous user data will be saved
It then says 'Installing'
Then I get an "X Application not installed"
I think this is because I have life.contacts 1.4.2 installed - but I have tried with it uninstalled and I get
It then says 'Installing'
Then I get an "X Application not installed"
Any thoughts on why this is happening? I have an Xperia Ray
