Hello,
Not sure if this was answered somewhere else or not. I have not seen this question anywhere. Poweramp will not play music files after I flashed Unofficial Slimbean beta 3. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled the latest version 2.0.9-build-534 from the Play Store but it will not play music files from the internal storage or external storage. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I upgraded to Comm Rom 1.3 and Themed Envy for 1.3 and I lost the ability to play music. I tried Music, Miui music, TTPod. Found all of my music in the music folder in Astro, but still unable to play. Shows SD card error. No other problems found. I also wiped Dalvik, cache and data and reflashed Comm Rom with 1.3 update without theme and still unable to listen to music. Help Help Help.
**Update**
I can go into Astro and play manually to Music from there. However, when I go back to Music, it does not display even the song I just played!
**Update 2**
Disabled voodoo lagfix. Reboot. Not working. Attempted to restore backup and got error. Crap!
**Update 3 Solved**
Deleted "No Media" file in Music folder using Astro. Auto rescan after closing Astro and Music and Miui Music both work again!!!!!!
Anyone having this issue?
Running the leaked ICS.
First off I did do a bunch of research..no joy on this issue.
First issue: is that some apps disappeared after I flashed the ICS rom.
Second: when trying to download and install I get "ERROR Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card" (Where's My Water) or "This device is incompatible". i just downloaded the Android Central app..it doesn't shop up in my Installed app list in Play. the app will work until I reboot the phone then the app disappears.
I've done everything I can think of, delete data in Play app, totally reformat SD card, factory restore and reinstall ICS. No fix.
I'm guessing it is the apps..not setup for ICS.
BTW: Everything worked running CM7.2 and CM9 nightly.
Any thoughts?
I get some of the same errors the one that mostly occurs for me is (ERROR: unable to process purchase) if you have any thoughts on the issue I would like to know (I only download free apps btw)

Check your Google account. Does it look like you have no Google history prior to flash? Also, see this thread:

If youbrooted, install lucky patcher, it will remove unused odex automatically. You can install again your app after that.

Doh!
OK, figured out what it was.
I had been messing about , trying to get my S3 to install apps on the micro-SD card (known error, see: http://www.chainfire.eu/articles/113/Is_Google_blocking_apps_writing_to_SD_cards_/ ).
I had used these [1] instructions to set-install-location to "2". Alas, that did not make it possible to store apps on the micro-SD card :crying:, however, I forgot to change it back to "0" :silly:
I've changed it back to "pm set-install-location 0" and the BBC Olympics app now installs :good:

Ah, thanks for the tip,- not quite what I had but it put me on the track. I have ROM Toolbox Pro and had tried making the default App install location on the Ext SD - unclicked and now updates work.
I am currently running into an issue installing apps from both the play store and trying to side loads apps from XDA. I have over 6gb free on both the internal and sdcards and yet A number of apps are giving me the out of space error when I try to install but not all apps are giving me the error some install no problem others not so lucky. I am getting the error with apps such as MXPlayer Google services and ES File Explorer even tho youtube installed fine from an older apk becuase the new version requires google services to be installed. I have cleared data and cache of the play store and google framework and even tried clearing the dalvik cache and that did not help either. Running CM7 on a Nook Tablet 16gb. So some help with this issue would be great as this is annoying me big time and preventing me from fully ultilizing my Nook Tablet.

As I stated I tried that already and no go still doing it.
Edit: *sighs softly* I am beginning to wonder if I am going to have to reinstall CM if I am orced to do that to fix this annolying issue I may as well upgrade to CM10 from my current CM7 build.
I just installed the official cm11 rom 4.4.2 2-26 nightly on my XT912, and everything is working great except that Google Play Music and Apollo are not reading the music I have on my SD card. I can open up the file manager that came with the rom amd navigate to my SD Card, open my music folder and select a song, choose to open it with Play Music and it will play just fine on the mini player that pops up on the screen. When i go and open the actual Play Music App it doesnt see any of the files though, same thing with Apollo. I have tried uninstalling gPlay Music and Apollo and reinstalling, but that did not fix the issue. I also downloaded several apps that are supposed to force the phone to scan the sd card, still no luck. Can anyone help me with this? I couldnt post in the development forum because this is my first post.
