It varies a lot by neighborhood and time of day. It ranges anywhere from 10 Kb/s to 21 Mb/s.

gotta love technology these days...
Usually around 30mb/s down and 15mb/s up, sometimes gets random tests at 50mb up but not often.... Remember 2400 baud lol, i use to wait forever to do anything online but it was worth the wait, now i freak out if a web page doesn't load in 2 seconds.
Right around 20 m down for the most in my area, 10 m or so up.

Is that the average or just a really nice spike in speed at the time of the speed test?

Spike
I typically get 30-40 at the same spot. Gotten over 50 a few times in the past but it's been slowing down lately (too congested?)
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
I used to get 50-60 sitting in the exact spot I'm sitting now on my htc rezound. Now with my s4 I get about 12 down and 4 up. It really sucks that this great phone has to have the absolute worst reception in the history of cell phones. Maybe I got a crappy one :banghead:

Hey guys was reading in the radio thread and trying to figure out what radio is giving the best coverage and data at the moment?
Currently I am on 518 which is what the phone came with out of the box. Have seen some say that this is the better of all of them but have also seen people say to actually downgrade...
Let me know what your on and what your experiences have been.
Thanks will be given if you can help me out here!
It would depend on where you're using your phone, no?
I need something I have no reception at work or at home

You need 00001 prl hack.

that prl hack wouldn't be a good thing to use..as your data always is roaming via Verizon's towers which can get your account terminated for to much roaming, ill post a tut soon though hopefully once I get home..

You could try out each of these radios and see which one works best for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193101
The 518 radio works great for me.

Can't complain about those speeds while in a half basement. Luckily I have not had any problems with dropped calls or any thing either.

If I had speeds like that, I'd pee my pants!
I average 400 to 600 kbps at my home in Colorado Springs. I've tried all 3 radios and it seems they are all about the same.

Springs? I'm in pueblo on the south side in a half basement at work. I was only getting like 400kb downloads with my evo 4g. I flashed vipers script with the supra rom and it flies.

3.7 runs cooler than the 3.8.... people were trading in their 3.8s for 3.7s
On gingerbread the 3.8 got much better life than the 3.7, on ICS it's about the same
Back in the early days of ICS for us, the 3.7v batteries (I believe) wouldn't charge past about like 87 ish percent while the phone was on, but the 3.8v would charge fully. We don't have that issue now though, there's no real difference anymore.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA Premium.
I've both. The 3.7 barely holds a charge for me, takes only two hours of screen on time to kill the battery and that's on wifi so go figure...
My 3.7 on the other hand..

I work in Madison heights, the 10 mile/john r area, I'm about 500 feet from a tower and have some decent 3g...they come and work on the tower about once a month....I actually get better/more consistent streaming over 3g at work than I do over u-verse 6mb/s WiFi at home....go figure...what area you having issues in?

I just got 4g yesterday near west bloomfield and it was fast but now when I download an app from the play store its super slow no matter what ROM I have. Its just fine when downloading stuff on the internet or using the browser and other apps, but downloading apps from the play store is super slow...downloading apps on 3g was faster than it is right now on 4g. For example, it took me 25 minutes to download 4shared from the play store (and its only 4.5mb)...took 10 minutes to download a 760kb music app from the play store! Sprint is Ridiculous

It's probably the game not being optimized. Most game loft games I've played so far are butter smooth on this phone and no frame skip compared to my s4 and note 3.

Definitely was just making a joke - my personal completely unscientific benchmark of a phone is how many bloons I can throw at it. The G2 performed quite admirably.
Yea this happens everyone you keep going...eventually it crashes. Outs a phone NOT a super computer. Thread is worthless should be closed.
