I'm on slim bean 4.3 ROM
I decided to remap the search key into recent apps button, so I changed the value of search key, "search" into "app_switch" in the file named "cy8c201xx.kl" in system/urs
But it didn't worked, how can I remap it?

I downloaded boot controol... it's a widget, free on the market, you have to be rooted, really usefull, try it
If you're on froyo head over to themes section and flash the feeling the style 2.2 theme. If gingerbread, most themes there have "extended power menu mod".

I think he means if you write with your finger, free hand. Not a keyboard.
Also you should ask questions in the q&a section.

Swype has the same option to freely write. It works pretty great!! This screenshot is from an older version but the functionality is still there.
