I'm not a Dev but switching your drivers would probably break it unless u tweak them for this device

Any automated programs to hack the 3g hotspot app? The droids have the team black hat patcher that you flash via cwm. Shouldn't it be just as easy to do for us instead of the manual method on a pc?

Check in the themes and apps section for an app called Quick Settings. I tried it and can confirm the wifi hot spot in that apps works. However I have done the manual hack as well.

I thought that app only activated the hotspot app, not hack it

You can use qpst to adjust your phone settings. This is the hack you want, it works. You gotta follow some directions... search the forums here, or droidforums, you will find a thread with everything you need

I was asking specifically for a way to do it without the use of software on a pc and manually making the changes... including qpst... or anything software on occasion related... if possible

What's kernel would you guys recommend for cm 7 any suggestions?
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
I use the latest dream kernel, fixed wifi for me. I also like the speed tweak option for on the fly changes. If your feeling daring search vipermod to lower your voltage even more, I get better battery life that way.

Well I'm kind of new to this root flash. I don't know what version of the dream kernel to use. Everything works good wifi 4g 3g video camera except for swathing youtube videos on web browser I get the sound but no video.

Well if everything works well then you might not need a different kernel. To answer your post its called dream kernel in the development forum and it explains pretty well what the speed tweak and options are. Flash won't work unless you get the 10.1 apk which is also in the development forum. I would them to you but I'm on my phone. Good luck and post back if you have anymore questions

Is that the one that includes call recording?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Yeah it should or I know lean kernel has it.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA App
Can the call recording be downloaded?
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
The option or the calls? The calls are saved to your phone if that's what your asking.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA App
Call recording like the bamf
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
To actually hear what you said in a conversation. Sort if I'm not making any sense
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
Call recording isn't an app you download, it has to be supported by the kernel. Dream kernel and lean kernel do, should state the feature in the post. The kernel included in bamf supports it which is why it is listed as a feature

I am a low vision Android user and loosing vision. I would like for someone to implement the ICS Screen Reader into one of the ICS Roms for the LG P500.
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I have tried alot of the ICS Roms none have the Screen Reader.
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Talkback isn't installed by default, you need to add it from GooglePlay.
A bit strange if you ask me...
Talk back is not a screen reader like the one that is in official ICS versions

Anything?

Would it be possible to port the offline voice typing feature from JB to work with our ICS Roms? I don't know if it's just part of the keyboard apk or if it's rooted in the OS itself. If it's part of the keyboard than in theory we could just install the apk and it would work right? Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in, if it is then feel free to move it to the correct section.
This should be in Q&A.

Bump

Also have this question in my mind right now
im leaning more towards no. because if it is the app itself then it prolly wont work due to the different APIs the phone relies on.
Hey everybody! I just switched from gingerbread to jb and I turn up the volume and I see that I can control all the volumes, which is cool, but I only want to change the sound for media and not ringtone and anything. So is there anyway to only turn up media like it is on gingerbread.
Sent from my YP-G70 using xda app-developers app
Not that I know of. I've had this problem too. But JB is worth it.
Sent from my YP-G70 using xda app-developers app
It will default to sound when media is playing. But no, I don't think you can change it without changing the actual ROM build.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Make sense but since I just either have notifications on or off, it'd be nice to have it like gingerbread

This may be a question to ask the developer in the specific thread that the ROM is updated in. or at least search in the thread to see if anyone else has asked.
