Currently I use Noled since there is no light on the front.
I also only use the stock lockscreen which is pretty basic.
From my experience, NoLed and a custom lock screen do not work well with each other - is there something I am doing wrong or its just the way the phone is?

If you have any app related issues, its best to contact the devs of that app. :good:

Android AOSP's lock screen is transparent. i believe there are applications out there that will allow one to change the lock screen image even if on AOSP style ROMS.
might want to look into this http://market.android.com/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker

I am not familiar with scripting so i do not know if that is possible. I know the link i posted ealier is simple way to get a AOSP lock screen. if that is what you are wanting. and it contains a flash-able Sense Lock screen.
That method is weird. You can see the icon instead of just you're wallpaper. Someone could probably pull the apk apart and set a wallpaper in it, but im not sure.

"Pulling" the Lockscreen.apk out of CM6/CM7 would be the same as deleting the HTCLockscreen.apk on a Sense-based ROM. the CM6/7 Lockscreen is a version of the AOSP Lockscreen, deleting HTCLockscreen.apk forces the OS to revert to the AOSP Lockscreen.
Option 94, you talking about the screen caps of Widget Locker? id ya are your not seeing them through the lockscreen, they are on the lock screen.
Upon unlocking phone, in the background, it is like beaming sunlight, then goes away.
I have recently rooted, and tried a few ROMS and went back to stock. Anyone have any idea what this is? It did not do it before. Doesn't bother me, I just cannot seem to identify it from Ti or Running programs.

lol. Its a function of Sense and the Sense clock widget. It has the weather and gives you a nice weather screen animation on initial unlock and going to the home screen. Its can only be found and run on sense roms.

I had never seen it before, and I am not, or didn't think I was using the widget, I will have to check... I currently have a blank home screen. It actually looks kind of cool when it happens.
just an fyi beautiful widgets also does the same effects also
Anyone have a working mod to get the CRT Off animation? I know that it disrupts the smooth auto brightness, but Id rather have CRT Off.
Also, anyone have a working mod for the AOSP lockscreen? Thanks.

I think designgears has CRT-off in his Cognition beta
Cognition Beta 1 (with widgetlocker). Widgetlocker could be my best paid app. It can be made to look like anything and I've seen people do some pretty cool things with it. Cognition has CRT built in and I don't use auto brightness so I don't care about smooth transition.

is there a way to change the move to unlock lockscreen to slide to unlock style?
Only way I've seen (haven't looked much) is Go Launcher with Go lock screen - it has a "slide to unlock" lock theme.
Widgetlocker, you can find it in the market. You can customize your lock screen pretty much any way you want. If you search on xda (I think it is in an android development section) there is a huge thread with Widgetlocker themes you can use to get ideas and different sliders and such.
You can also cook one up in the UOT kitchen

Have you actually done this for the AT&T GS2? Does it work?
Probably, becuase you can upload your own framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk. Someone who has actually used the kitchen will have to confirm. The kitchen is worth checking out, but seriously get widgetlocker. The iphone slide to unlock theme is one of the defaults.

I tried and it did not work. Some theming worked (icons and stuff), some did not.
Check out Magic Locker, like widget locker, but free.
https://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.lockscreen.magiclocker
There are themes for Android 4 ring, Sense 3, Samsung puzzle lock, iPhone slide, and many many more.
Or come to the CM7 side of the force. It has built in themes for Ring, slide, rotary, lense, etc.

does widgetlocker drain battery? i read frm otoher places that it does and others that it really doesnt.
Edit: installed widget locker. And ive lost 3% in 30 some minutes. Oh well, time to remove.
I've experienced zero drain issues with widget locker. No wakelocks, no excessive CPU usage etc. I lose just under 1% an hour on idle.
Widgetlocker messed up both my and my gf's phones. I think its that wakelock you referred to? It would be fine and then it would go to sleep and not wake up, we'd have to pull the battery just to get it back. Pretty upsetting because we both liked it.
That isn't a wakelock, that is a sleep of death (SOD). A wakelock is where the phone is forced to stay awake by an app or process even though the screen is off and the phone is supposed to be sleeping. A SOD can be caused by a lot of things depending on the phone and what you've done to it.

ICS allows for an amazing feature to access the notifications in the status bar even when the phone is locked. Can this feature be somehow ported to GB?? It would be pretty useful, ryt?? :silly:

How's it useful? I have that 'feature' on stock ROM too, and i still have to see the point behind it, what good is locking the screen if it's not completely locked? Seems more like a flaw to me, I wish I could get rid of it
EDIT: Ok, apparently I had it with Go Locker, as soon as I removed it the feature disappeared too... So there's your answer. Check 'Go Locker' if you want access to the notification bar in lock screen.
